There are always people eating inside every McDonald's I have gone to. Like 50%-75% of the tables are filled. I'm not seeing why that is so strange.

My local McDonalds always has people eating inside also.

I may be in the minority, but I still don't believe that Dylan even made it to MR's home....or at least....not alive.

And MR may be lousy at lying, but I don't believe he's stupid....and I seriously doubt that if he harmed Dylan that he would dispose of him that near his home.

I think he tried to steer investigators towards the lake just for kicks...so they would waste time/effort searching there.

If MR is responsible, he had from 7:22pm (reported time at McDonald's drive-thru) til approx 5 to 6pm Monday to dispose, clean, etc.

And I might be crazy, but I still have my doubts that the reported 9:37pm communication even occurred. I still think law enforcement could have released that info in an effort to get MR to speak out more & give more details on the evening timeline.

Do you believe that it was premeditated (over a significant period of time, for instance since the custody change) or that it was a rage killing?

I have an iPhone 4S and sometimes if I am texting and I don't have a good signal I will receive a message as a text instead if iMessage and it's green.

yep! IMO the above is accurate in speaking of iMessage vs. text message/SMS on iPhones. there are several factors that can determine whether or not you are msging via iMessage rather than text msging/SMS regardless of the type of phone the recipient with whom you are exchanging messages is using..as in you can use the straight up text msg/SMS method(Distinguished by a color OTHER THAN BLUE, typically green, but the bubble color for SMS/TEXT can/does vary) even when exchanging msgs with another iOS/iPhone user..

In specifically speaking of the msging btwn R and Dylan it is an established fact that Dylan was not texting from an iOS/iPhone, but rather a non-smartphone device...

I don't think it was premeditated...since Dylan was initially supposed to fly in the day before. If he had, MR wouldn't have had those errands to run on Sunday that he ran on Monday.

I think they most likely argued about Dylan wanting to be with his friends.

My nearest McDonald's is clean and pleasant, but I'm guessing that all depends on the staff and the pace of the neighborhood location. I don't think dining in or to go is that big a deal one way or the other, but I wonder is there is drive thru camera footage that shows Dylan. Most businesses keep the detail tape of registers for years so I imagine that is where the 7:22 time was verified. Unless LE found the take out bag with the receipt either in MR's truck or in the trash. But since the thorough search was 10 days later, I kind of doubt that. All MOO

FWIW... there usually are people inside at the ones I go to as well. I'm just rarely one of them lol. I don't think it's strange to see people inside and didn't mean to imply otherwise, I just know of many people including myself who prefer the drive through for various reasons.

Speaking of which I really wish they'd release a pic of MR and Dylan at the drive through. If it's like most chain restaurant drive-throughs I've seen I'm sure they have good cameras, but I hope they record everything and keep it long enough that LE had time to get it before it was over-written. I know LE has said MR and Dylan were there and I'm sure they have a reason for not releasing pics (if they have them), but I feel like it might give us one more missing piece. Was Dylan in the car/truck? Was he texting at that point? Did he look happy, sad, mad...? What was MR's demeanor like? Was there anyone else in the vehicle (one possible explanation for the "we" picked up Dylan at the airport)? So many questions.

You just reminded me of something I was thinking a while back. Landfills. I have not seen any media coverage suggesting the landfill was checked.

There is a landfill just north of Hwy 160 off CR 223 between Bayfield and Durango. The website says it is closed on Sundays and does not open until 1pm on Monday. How much staff do you think is there on Sunday night/Monday morning? Is it possible to sneak into the landfill when it is closed?

Also, would LE have retrieved MR's trash from the landfill or searched the approximate area of the landfill where it was dumped?

BBM - minus just a few hours in the morning to attend to his appointments and be seen. LE said they checked that out. So we know he was in Durango arouond 8:00-8:30ish and he had a few appointments, which were probably all completed by 10:00-10:30ish. So 2.5 hours max out of the rest of the time - very close to 20ish hours. That's a long time.

Two quick thoughts to share before they gnaw away my sanity-
The word "text" traditionally refers to the written word. Now that it's become a tech communication form, it has followed in the footsteps of facsimile and grown 'ing-wing's. Faxing, texting. I'm not sure about LE's phrasing with regard to the 9:37 message, but it could be indicating the medium and not necessarily the method. True, text messages are text, but emails are a form of text, facebook posts are a form of text, etc.

There's a million reasons why this won't matter, but ER's initial 8:01 timeframe for the ceasing of D's messages triggered a memory for me-- when our daughter's cell phone social life started to compromise her commitment to her schoolwork, we activated Verizon's handy dandy parent control feature, which shut down the phones capacity to send and receive messages and calls per the time restrictions we'd established. In our case, it was 8pm on school nights. Our daughter hated it! The thing she hated most, (and I do feel a tiny bit of guilt about this) was that on long weekends and school holidays, we would forget to adjust the restrictions, which means it would shut down communication even when she would have had permission to be goofing around. We weren't trying to be the meanest parents ever, we just forgot.

I'm not sure, if I'd shared so much with the media in an attempt to find my child, that I could bring myself to acknowledge my own Verizon parent control math scheduling error publically.

So, who here thinks that Mr. Redwine told Dylan that it was too late for him to see his friend(s), but then in the next breath, said that they were going to sit down and have a nice, long meal?

<My Hand is Raised>

A smart kid would call him out on that BS.

I think it was both.

I believe they were poised to check dumpsters/landfills IF they felt they needed to. I don't think they thought they needed to but I don't know what ever came of that. That's the last I heard.

Usually in that case it says "sent as text message" underneath, yes?

There was a case in Canada I was following and the person's body floated up in the Spring. A media article stated that they always find a number of bodies after the Spring thaw. :( Thank you & Eileen too.
Good point, Dee.

***WARNING: UNPLEASANT INFO****

New York’s Grim Sign of Spring: Floating Corpses

It’s a stomach-churning sign of spring, as reliable as cherry blossoms or allergy attacks: reports of dead bodies rising to the surface of New York’s harbor and rivers as the water warms with the season.

Icy waters slow the decomposition process during the winter, which helps conceal submerged bodies. Warmer spring weather raises water temperatures, speeding decomposition and causing the release of gases. “The buildup of the gases is what makes the body more buoyant and float to the top,” Russo said.

I think the helicopter flyovers of the lakes in the area were in case a body had risen. Moo

I wish they would have checked, particularly if they ever thought this was a case of stranger abduction. To my knowledge, they did not. Only brought search dogs around Vallecito and searched on foot along Florida Road. It's not too late, is it? I wonder if K-9 Forensics would consider another landfill after the Tammy Salle debacle?

Running with this train of thought, who here thinks it's a possibility that Dylan said "No" to a long meal because he wanted to see his friends, and Mark said it was too late to go to his friends, either trying to get Dylan to have a sit down meal with him, or to punish him for not wanting to do what Mark wanted to do? (I know people like this, I'll bet some of you do, too)

Plausible scenario as well...

I don't post here often, but I scan Dylan's board from time to time. I caught his dads interview on Dr. Phil the other day (which I never watch, but saw by chance) and thought his behavior was really weird.

But by every post I am reading, is he basically the only suspect? Has it been confirmed that he did something to Dylan?

I've been reading through the posts, trying to find a certain answer, but there's just so many pages.

Can someone let me know if he's the only/main suspect?
