IIRC, they were preplanned appointments.

From experience, I know timesheets/expense reports HAVE to be turned in by a certain time on Monday a.m. for certain jobs.

The trip to his work would not have been a pre-planned appointment. I'm sure he himself said he wanted to go there first thing when the payroll dept opened. He probably does that whenever he's in town. And by his own admission he got there an hour later than he wanted to. Now the lawyer would be a different story. I would think you'd have to have an appointment with a lawyer.

I can see why he wouldn't wake him up.I think most 13 yr olds would rather sleep in then to be dragged to a depressingly boring divorce lawyer meeting.

I believe the plan, if there was one, would have been for him to drop Dylan off in Bayfield at his friend's house before going into Durango for his meeting.

Oh snap ! You just gave me a thought. Maybe he had to go get PAID ( he may have gotten a check cut that morning from work ) so he could go PAY his lawyer. Could be he was behind or had a promise to pay the lawyer that day and went straight from collecting money to disbursing money like most of us do on payday !

But he wanted to go to his friends house remember. Why couldnt he wait
and take him to his friends house all in one trip! Even stop at Walmart for the things he was trying to contact Dylan about!

He sure sounded positive about Dylan having the fishing pole in that comment whereas in another comment he didn't know if Dylan had it with him or not.

I'm rewatching part two Dr Phil show.

Betsy confronted MR stating she just wants to hear the truth due to the ever changing stories.
Betsy __ your story has changed
MR __ know it hasn't it in what way specifically in what way has my story changed__
Betsy __ you said you went to Tristan's house and talked to him, and he didn't see Dylan __
Your next story was _ that you went to Tristan's house and nobody was there.__ So how could you talk to somebody that isn't there ?

MR __ To respond to that _ if i may, i i attempted to go to Tristan's house and talk to him but he didn't answer the door,__ i assumed that possibly him and Dylan were at the lake, _ you know the "fishing pole" has never been found, i assumed that maybe that was a possibility do i know for a fact that he had a "fishing Pole" absolutely not.

Cory __ When you go into your house the fishing Pole" is in the garage_ you didn't walk thru the garage and into the house --
MR __ Theres several places thet that "fishing pole" is -
Cory and MR talking together --
Cory __ it was always in the garage __
MR __ it was either next to the TV
Cory __ and how come that's the first _ you noticed that before his bike _ before his footprints
MR __ Well you sure know a lot you sure you
Cory __ I've investigated in my mind since its happened --
MR __ Well boy then then why do we have Legal Enforce or Law Enforcement involved when we got "you two"on it -
Cory __ because they have to deal with people like you who won't tell then the answers, who won't cooperate --

Exactly why drive all that way come back and then head out again?

I believe he said that he was going to his lawyer's to prepare papers to file with the court. Personally I wondered if he was trying to have the child support reduced or overturned and needed payroll information to give to his lawyer to do this.

That sounds like it would have been the most logical thing to do but he didn't offer him a ride to his friends house.Maybe because he felt it was too early.
7:30 am is a bit early to go visiting friends. Most teens sleep in later then that.

Dylan seemed like he wanted to be over to his friends house before his dad got up to go do errands.Seemed like Dylan was trying to be sneaky and get away before his dad could tell him no he couldn't go.

except that MR was supposed to be dropping Dylan off at his friends place in Bayfield at 6.30am, and that would have been on the way to Durango.

Maybe there actually was a plan in place.Maybe it had been agreed upon that his dad would be dropping Dylan off at 6:30.But Dad did not leave until 7:30 am, is that right? So what happened between 6:15 (about the time he would be leaviing to take Dylan to Ryans house) and 7:30 (the time he ended up leaving?)?

So its a known fact that that was the plan?If so then he DEFINATELY would have seen that Dylan was missing before he left.

But why was it so important to do this on THIS day?
Id really love to know if he had an apt.

There was a plan in place as far as Dylan was concerned. He had made arrangements with his friend R to be at his grandmother's place at 6:30am on Monday morning.

MR claims that he got up around 6:30am and spent 45 minutes to an hour trying to wake Dylan up to give him that ride.

MR claims at 7:30am he told Dylan he had to go and would come back around 11am to take him to his friend's house and Dylan was okay with that. He "understood".

good point.

poeople who live rural usually don't want to waste fuel by doing two trips when one will suffice.

I live city and theres no way I'd waste that sort of fuel by driving back and forth unnecessarily.

Wonder how much longer we will repeat the same messages over and over and keep discussing Dr. Phil?

Hoping LE will issue a news release soon, so that we can actually move on and help with finding Dylan.

So would I. The only thing I can think of was that he had just been in court in early November again for something. So perhaps he made the appt with his lawyer for the first available day that he could, when he knew he was going to be home.

That sounds like B.S. there.Dylan definately wanted to go to his friends house. He would not have passed up that ride after stressing over and over to his friend to MAKE SURE he was up to let him in at 6:30.

its a half hour trip from MRs to Bayfield, to drop Dylan off at 6.30am (as per the texts between Dylan and his friend RN)

no one knows what happened between those times except MR, who said that he spent time trying to wake Dylan, or Dylan out like a light, or he indicate I understand

which version do we believe if any?
