Do you have a MSM link that MR has offered to help ER with "many" fundraising events but has been denied at every turn, or is that just a rumor?

Thank you -

I'm trying to keep an updated record of the facts as known/reported and this would be helpful to know.

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20130126/NEWS01/130129704/0/SPORTS

Redwine also claimed he was contacted by a woman who wanted to do a raffle to raise money for the Dylan Redwine reward fund, now $50,450, but Elaine Redwine and Hess turned down the offer.

also this:

Yet Mark Redwine said his ex-wife and Hess actually have left him out of a number of events, sometimes not giving him enough notice to attend.

With Dylan, apparently. Mark has offered to help Elaine with many fundraising events, but has been denied at every turn. There's 3 sides to every story, remember this. Elaine isn't an angel when it comes to Mark.

If a MSM link cannot be provided, then this is a rumor.

I have been following this case from the beginning and keeping very good record of the MSM facts. I did an internet search just now and nowhere has it been stated in MSM that MR has made MANY attempts to assist with fundraising and has been turned away by ER at every turn.

I was also unable to find any MSM internet hits on MR offering to auction off or donate proceeds from the sale of an ATV.

If my memory serves me right, the ATV statement was a family member discussing it on one of the "unofficial" or "non-family operated" FB pages that we are not allowed to discuss or link to.

There has only been one allegation (to my knowledge) by MR on Dr. Phil that ER wouldn't allow him or his friend/neighbor to hold a raffle, which ER vehemently denied. So it's one word against the other and shouldn't be construed that Mark has made "many" attempts at fundraising and ER has prevented all of them.

Due to the contentious divorce and animosity among the parents, I've always wondered why all the MR supporters and MR's family haven't joined together on MR's behalf and hold their own fundraisers (or solicit media attention or sell bracelets/t-shirts, whatever for Dylan). There is absolutely no good reason he (or his supporters/friends/family) couldn't do things on his own!

That would eliminate the constant pointing fingers/blaming ER for the efforts she has successfully accomplished and continues to seek out (i.e. media opportunities, fliers, bracelets, vigils, dinners, auctions, sonar device/team to search lake, etc.). Mark, his friends, family, supporters have the same ability to do what ER and her friends are accomplishing. The fact that he/they haven't, says a lot.

JUST MY OPINION!

So there is nothing to say that Mark is telling the truth ?

His version of events ?

Beats me. A link was asked for. I gave the link. That's all.

Prior to the polygraph Dr. Phil said if one of his sons were missing he would be doing everything possible to find them but he told Mark Redwine that he was acting the complete opposite. Mark Redwine did not show any emotion during the two-day taping of the show.

“You seem diametrically opposite from that. You seem smug, you seem cavalier, you seem unplugged, you seem combative. You just seem like you just aren't engaged. Which makes me think either you don't care or you already have the answer,” Dr. Phil told Mark Redwine.

Back stage Dr. Phil told Mark that if he takes the polygraph and he has nothing to do with Dylan's disappearance it will clear him.

“I don't know what happened here. If you have your son stashed somewhere or if God forbid you flew into a rage and you hurt him accidentally and he's dead, if something has happened I will help you deal with it now and we will go recover that young man. Because if you are involved it's just a matter of time,” Dr. Phil said, adding that his offer had a shelf life. “If you're not involved then there's something seriously wrong with you because your reaction to this, something's wrong.”

MAIL CARRIER
From Dr. Phil Show – 1st Day
Tuesday, February 26, 2013

Mail Carrier (Angie) - Clip:
On the day Dylan went missing, I saw 2 boys walking down the road not too far from where Dylan lives. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon. When I saw the boys, I thought to myself, Hey, there’s Mark’s son, Dylan. The next day I talked to Mark, and he said Dylan hadn’t come home all night, and he was really worried about him. I really don’t think Mark was the last person to see Dylan that day.

Nobody knows what he "isn't doing" for sure, because he doesn't plaster his face in the media like his ex-wife does. It has been said by his family members that he is introverted.

Can we have an msm link where any family member said he was introverted? TIA

I have to disagree with the BBM, we (in general) do know some of what he "isn't doing"
He isn't out searching for Dylan
He isn't taking a second poly
He isn't attending any fundraisers

IMO "plastering your (in general) face in the media" when your (in general) child is missing is EXACTLY what needs to be done. Without ER plastering her face in the media, and without ER holding fundraisers, would we really still be hearing about Dylan?

Also from article:

“I do a lot of things on my own,” said Redwine, a truck driver. Among his other activities, “every time I get (back) into Durango, I talk to other truck drivers” to have them keep fliers in their rigs, he said.

When asked why Mark was not helping as much as people think he should, Cory Redwine said, “I think he has a part in this. I’m not sure exactly to what extent, but if your son’s really missing, most people would be doing anything they could to bring him home, not avoid the situation.”

Cory said that Mark Redwine usually is not reluctant to be out front.

“If he thinks he’s right, he’ll do everything he can to be out front. He doesn’t back down when he’s in the right,” Cory Redwine said. “He’s laid low and hasn’t really done a whole lot.”

You must have not followed the Caylee Anthony or the Trayvon Martin case.
Florida's sunshine laws call for almost all discovery to be released as it's given to the defense before trial.

I don't believe that Colorado has the kind of law that allows for the release of evidence before trial, so I don't believe that we will see anything like that in this case even if there is an arrest. MOO.

Ranch thank you for that, I am aware of the FL sunshine law, I should have made it clear that I was referring to CO cases. Thank you!

Perhaps MR wasn't the controlling one. Perhaps ER was. We don't really know.

Yes, I really do know. MR is controlling, very much so. ER is not controlling.

Thanks, much!! Here's my thoughts regarding those two links:

1) Neither link contains direct quotes from Mark, but let's go with what we got.

2) The first link refers to what was brought up on Dr. Phil. However, on the Dr. Phil show, just like the above statement, MR "claimed" and ER "denied" (on Dr. Phil).

Has it actually been confirmed that such a woman exists or is it just something MR is "claiming" (kind of like him insisting the postal worker was the last one to see Dylan and ultimately was proven that it was not)? Is this factual when one party "claims" something and the other "denies"? There's no confirmation who the woman is/was/nature of the fundraiser stated anywhere, so in my thoughts, it should cancel one another out as a he said/she said.

3) Even if one doesn't want to cancel that first one out (since it has not been confirmed that this woman actually exists or that ER/Hess turned down the offer and since he "claims" and she publicly "denied"), then perhaps we could consider this one instance with a disclaimer that it was denied by the accussee

4) The second link isn't specific enough to know which events he is "claiming" he was left out of to follow-up on to confirm.

If he blocked CR and ER as she stated on several MSM occasions, and he won't talk to them, then perhaps that could explain why he doesn't know what is going on with things.

Media has reported he didn't answer a call on his cell phone or at his home in one MSM report. Maybe he isn't answering calls?

Maybe he has bad cell reception or "spotty service" and folks can't get through to him??

Maybe he was out of town working and couldn't attend something being done in Colorado Springs.

5) Even if one adds this link, too, I'm still not convinced that the above two links constitutes that MR has made "MANY" attempts of fundraisers only to be turned down by ER at every turn would consist of the two above links.

JUST MY OPINION

(Truly appreciate you providing the links and will add them now!)

Actually that is incorrect. He mentioned someone wanting to put together a raffle and the information was given to DH NOT ER. Please give a link where MR offered to help ELAINE with many fundraising events but has been denied at every turn. TIA

Also, just to add, ER has had many fundraising events, there have also been vigils, however MR has chosen to not to attend any event other than the first vigil. Nobody was sent personal invitations to these events, they were announced on fb and fliers and in the news.

I really don't put a lot of weight because IMO there will be excuses given such as, why should he attend an event when ER has so much anger towards him, why should he this because of that. The implication that ONE offer by MR given to another person in regards to yet another person offering to hold a raffle and NOT ER somehow makes her responsible for his inability to help in a fundraising event.

When will MR be held accountable for his actions and his inactions? When will ER stop being held accountable for his actions, his inactions and the actions of others? I just don't get it, I really don't get it.

Lastly, if MR wants to hold a fundraising event, their is no anchor tied to his arse, he can hold it, it is not everybody else's responsibility to hold one for him.

Quick question. Is DH running the show by herself, or is she suppose to be helping ER with all of this? I am thoroughly confused here on this issue because you would think that ER and DH would be working in concert with each other or would need ER's approval on things. In other words that ER should be aware of what DH is doing and if she is not there is something wrong there IMO. Surely DH wouldn't be given carte blanche in regards to everything Dylan. Again I am just asking because I thoroughly do not understand the dynamic here.

Prepare posters of your missing child including a recent photo and descriptive information
and post them within the local community. NCMEC may be able to provide you with copies
of your child’s poster as soon as the poster has been certified by them for distribution.

Make every effort to obtain local and national media attention regarding your missing
child. Conduct television, radio, and newspaper interviews to discuss and direct attention
to your child.

Thanks to Elaine, Cory and others these things happened immediately following Dylan's disappearance.

Where was Mark? Sitting at home.....

Contacted Monday at his home, Mark Redwine declined to discuss the search for Dylan.

“I know they’re looking for my son, but I’d prefer not to say anything,” Redwine said at the door of his house. “I prefer to let the investigators do their work.”

http://www.durangoherald.com/article/20121126/NEWS01/121129702/0/SEARCH/Frustration-mounting

I can't locate the article right now where Mark came to the door hugging a pillow or where his cell and house phone rang but no answer....will keep looking

found it....sorry he was "clutching" a pillow

When approached at his home in Vallecito, Mark Redwine answered the door clutching a pillow. He declined to be interviewed, saying he had been “bombarded” by media requests.

He said he didn’t have a lot of support at the moment and had family coming in to help him figure out how to respond to the situation. Mark Redwine said he expected his brother to arrive Tuesday night in Vallecito.

In response to questions about Elaine Redwine’s recent comments intimating that her ex-husband might be involved in Dylan’s disappearance, Mark Redwine said, “I don’t want to lash out at my ex-wife.”

BBM

So what did they come with.....as to how to respond to "the situation".....

I guess it wasn't any media interviews (by family/friends) or fundraisers

<modsnip>.

The main goal has and continues to be to get Dylan's face out there and to find Dylan.

Frankly, Mark can hold a fundraiser on his own for his son. He doesn't need anyone to hold his hand and no one can tell him he is not allowed. Mark could contribute money or assets to the reward fund. If for some reason his money is rejected, he could donate it under an anonymous name. Mark could go on Tricia's show or CrimeWire to help find Dylan. I'm sure anything he doesn't want to discuss can be settled before the airing of the show.

In my opinion, Mark needs to put aside the victim role he is playing as far as finger pointing. It is not working in his favor. Dylan is the victim. So why not try a different approach? Forget about what everyone else thinks and do what you can to find your son. Dylan is the only thing that should matter right now, not the tit for tat. Actions speak louder than words.

This struck me just now more so than before for some reason ... from txjan's post ..''' “Hey, your dad’s trying to get a hold of you. Your friends are trying to get a hold of you. You need to communicate to somebody.''''

How many times has MR said someone ' communicated or tried to communicate or we should communicate''? We've discussed it many times but for some reason I just had a light bulb moment. He wants Dylan to communicate with someone, why not call or text? Why communicate? Is it because MR knows he cannot call or text because he knows where his phone is? Now I want to go scrutinize his other uses of 'communicate' vsjust a call or a text. It just seems a much more natural thing would be ' call us back'
. Does MR use the word communicate when he knows there is no chance of that person 'calling or texting or emailing' ?

I agree it's reaching. I also think almost all of the theories are reaching with very few known facts. He does use communicate a LOT and that's why it's always sticking out in my mind. I'd like to know prior to Nov 19, if that is a word he used every time he meant to say talk, call, text, email. If so, then no problem.

Also remember MR shows that he can make very appropriate direct statements, IMO when he is sure of something or when something really happened and when he is not trying to mislead or confuse, for example, some answers he gave in the MB interview:

"I do blame myself"
"I relive this a thousand times"
"I beat myself up"

I firmly believe that when he has made something up or he wants to leave the story "open" for interpretation or open for different details in the future, that is when he talks in circles with indirect language (communicate, indicate, trying to) and uses the pronouns "we" and "us" referring to only himself, and he uses present tense to describe a past event. It is during those times that he doesn't really want us to know what happened but those 3 sentances above, IMO, are clear as a bell.

If Mark Redwine did try to organize a fundraiser, how successful would it be?

He doesn't seem to be well liked by the public, would that affect the success of any fundraiser that he would try without any tie to Elaine?
