Good afternoon, everyone. Hope this is the day that Dylan returns home.

I wonder this too. I am very curious how much interest/involvement LE is going to have this time. Maybe we'll hear something on this update tonight. It would be great if Bender would hold a press conference but I'm not holding my breath.

The group Elaine is brining in sounds exactly like what is needed.

Dylan had asked his father whether he could go to his friends' that evening after they had shopped at Walmart and eaten at a McDonald's in Durango and before the 45-minute drive to Mark's home north of Vallecito Lake. Mark said he told his son it was too late. So Dylan texted friends in Bayfield, his father said, and made arrangements to meet them the next morning.

thanks for the link!
I appreciate it!

That's been done pretty much throughout the whole case, and it's funny that we (yes, me included) pick and choose which articles we want to believe are MR's words or the reporter's take on MR's words.

Personally I go by the interviews where we see his lips move and words come out!

The press release didn't say "attempted to contact".

Here's what it did say

Mark Redwine, Dylan's father, had previously contacted the Bayfield Marshal's Office on the 19th attempting to learn if they had seen Dylan, and he then contacted Elaine asking if she had heard from Dylan.

Attempting to learn if they saw Dylan
NoT report his son missing!

If he was upset he would have CALLED his ex and not send a text.
He should have been more worried as I see it! Elaine was!

These are the things that say to me he is involved.

Looking forward to additional news from Dan Bender!

I see so many hopes pinned on the lake/reservoir but I keep remembering Bender downplaying it. If LE has other clues they are following, the lake may not be as important to them as the public seems to think.

Since there are no direct quotes it appears to me the reporter summed up whatever MR said. :great:

Yep no direct quotes. Just sharing what info's out there. We each have to assess it as we see fit.

It seems popular to include these so :great: :floorlaugh: :rocker: :seeya: :moo:

Well, you are right. I keep thinking about Dylan being dizzy after the flight.

From the tweet, it looks like it's FMDR who's giving an update tonight. Is it them or LE?

I remember reading a long time ago, that it's a volunteer who gives his time taking care of the twitter account. So, I'm thinking that the update is from the FMDR facebook page.

While we're back "at" the MO topic:
Something I brought up the other day that bothers me about MR's statements of what he and the MO supposedly talked about was that he mentions "maybe they could do a welfare check" - if DR was supposed to be at MR's home where would they do a welfare check, and why would they offer to do one in that case?

There was another comment MR made in reference to what the MO supposedly told him, but I can't remember it exactly right now - I'll have to go and look back at my posts. (I'll link my post on this comment, when I find it as I explained what was said, and why I thought it was so strange on that comment, and I don't want to repeat it all here.)

As always, all of the speculation in this comment is MOO! :cow:

Sniped and BBM... This is weird. Why would you ask police to do a welfare check on your child at your house, where you just came from hours before? To me, IMO, when you ask for a welfare check it's because you think there is something wrong.

MOO

Maybe FMDR will be announcing a great new fundraiser. I'm sure the experts and equipment they are going to engage have to be extremely expensive. Maybe LE will fund it for them now that they know about the availability of these services.

MR asked LE to do a welfare check on Dylan at his house?

JMO, but MR probably didn't know the difference in all the terms.

I haven't seen anything about MR asking for a welfare check, but this is from the Blasius interview. Link to Transcript by TxJan in the MEdia thread.

  • Mark Redwine: Well, I told them that I hadn’t heard from Dylan all day and I didn’t think much of it and when I got down to the Marshall’s Office or to his friend Ryan’s house or Fernando…anyway... when I ran across his friends and they hadn’t heard from him – then that’s when I went over to the Marshall’s Office and told them that, you know, we need to find him, make contact with him. They were going to put out like a wellness check or they just notify the local authorities to keep an eye out for him and make contact with him

This is from Dr Phil. Link to transcript by TxJan in the Media thread.

  • I immediately went to the law enforcement people. While I was at the Marshall’s Office, I contacted Elaine and asked her specifically had she heard from him. That’s where the finger started getting pointed at me -- right then and there -- like I had some involvement.
Has MR said anything else about the Marshall's office? Thanks.

I have never believed the proposition that the Dylan Redwine Task Force was operating with no funding. That's the point isn't it, of the FBI's involvement? To bring additional resources as needed? I can not be convinced that the FBI does not have access to ROV and sonar search methods.

I would be more suspicious of Mark if he had zero inconsistent statements. I'm not aware of him having a significant amount of them either. MOO.

I've not noticed many inconsistent statements either, RANCH. If there were none at all, I'd be much more suspicious, as then he'd surely be sticking to some manufactured story.

The truth dosent change!

jmo

Of course it doesn't, but it can be expanded upon, for any reason. Perhaps an interview would be a reason someone would need to expand upon their truthful statement.

<snipped for brevity>
One other thing. *IF* the father did indeed harm this beautiful child, there is no way he will be able to get away with it. Despite his attempts at deflection, it's not working. He will crack. If he has any brain cells, and *IF* he harmed that child, he will lead them to the remains and spare himself from the ultimate punishment.

I agree and think that MR is subconsciously doing just that. I don't ever expect confessions or plea bargains but MR wondering why LE hasn't been searching the lake "from day one" seems like a good example of this to me.
