I agree, IMO, if your feelings are still hurt after five months, you need some serious counseling. (you in general) Sometimes as a parent you have to do the difficult things in life and I always think of this saying I hear, suck it up buttercup.

You are so correct in the need for serious counseling. So many people need it and not just for things that happen five months ago, but for things that happened 20 years ago. I have known several people who have continued to suffer, and I have suggested counseling. They are usually reluctant to get it, but we can always suggest it to them. I have personally had a close relative who needed counseling badly after his divorce, marriage on the rebound, and another subsequent divorce. It seemed to be a badge of courage to him not to go to counseling, but things did not get better and he continued dwelling on things with disastrous results.

I have all kinds of ideas about why MR doesn't answer his phone too. And not all of them are about "guilt" or even about him. I don't think the man is obligated to feed the sharks.

WOW 20 years and still on the rebound. Heck with my divorce I had a party to celebrate, the marriage was bad, the divorce was tiresome, look at mistakes made, count the lessons learned and move on. Never have believed in pity parties. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

"They wanted to focus on an area he may have been able to walk to."

If LE really said that, then it doesn't sound to me like they're focused on Mark.

:cow:

I thought that was significant, too, and I don't doubt that LE said that because it would be quite a stretch for the reporter to make up out of whole cloth.

A couple of weeks ago I watched Redwine's neighbor's webcam for an hour starting at 11:30 on a weekday morning. During that hour, one car passed. Previously I had thought it odd that if Dylan had set out walking no one had reported seeing him. Now, considering the paucity of traffic on that road I no longer think it's odd. Anything could have happened, and witnesses would have been more unlikely than likely.

Additionally, I strongly suspect that Officer Utter's proclivities came to light as a direct result of the investigation into Dylan's disappearance. Time will tell.

I am still in hopes of a happy ending to Dylan's story.

If I had known you at the time , I'd have partied too ! I'm celebrating today that you made it out of that marriage intact with your kids :)

BBM, I am leaning that way myself. It's a very strong coincidence if not.

I'm just grateful everyday that Dylan has a strong, courageous mother like Elaine and a positive male role model like Mike Hall in his young life. Without them, this case would have gone nowhere. They are to be credited for bringing awareness to Dylan on both a local and a national level.

Love your attitude. Wish everyone was as resilient as you are. Marrying again on the rebound seemed to be his downfall. But some people are still talking about previous marriages after 20 years or so. It makes me sad that I did not just put him in the car and make him get counseling, but my husband told me that I could not control other people. Still, it is so sad.

It is very troubling that MR cannot take the time to answer a simple phone call in light of the fact that his son is missing. I cannot imagine what could possibly be more important. I have never understood why he refuses to participate in the search for his son or why he hides from reporters who are willing to cover Dylan's story. Perhaps he is in need of some counseling to address some of his personal issues, because it seems to me that MR is unable to live up to his own words, "it's all about Dylan."

Does anyone have anything to substantiate the claim that Mark Redwine is actually working?

IIRC, at the beginning of the time when Dylan went missing, MR's company said they would not release any information about him. Their policy has probably not changed, but if you are interested, you may try to call them again.

No thanks. I believe I have the answer. I was just trying to help others who didn't have that information.

All I remember is the earlier article that said he worked for United Pipeline when there was a kitchen fire but when contacted United Pipeline would not confirm if he was employed. it was an earlier msm article - please don't make me look through 300 msm's. In answer to your question, no there has been no confirmation as to whether or not MR is employed at this time or the time Dylan disappeared.

There have been several MSM links about Mark working, and nothing since that I know of to say he's not. Here are 2 of them.

“I do a lot of things on my own,” said Redwine, a truck driver. Among his other activities, “every time I get (back) into Durango, I talk to other truck drivers” to have them keep fliers in their rigs, he said.

Also, Dr Phil (link to TxJan's transcript in the Media thread). I think this is the most recent, and I haven't seen MSM since the show say he's no longer working.

MR:
I was making every effort I possibly could ‘cos I was in Texas working for the company that I work for trying to get into Bayfield that night…

Do you have something you can share with those of us who don't have current information on MR's current work status?

WE ARE NOT CLOSING THIS DISCUSSION BECAUSE YOU GUYS CAN'T KEEP FROM POKING AT EACH OTHER. AND IF YOU THINK THE MODS CAN'T SEE IT, YOU BETTER THINK AGAIN.

WE ARE NOT CLOSING DYLAN'S THREAD. WE ARE NOT GOING TO DO IT. YOU ALL ARE NOT GOING TO BULLY US HERE - SO - TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR POSTS AND IF YOU MAKE THEM JUST TO STIR THE POT - DELETE THEM IF A MOD HAS NOT ALREADY DONE SO. ONE MORE POST AFTER THIS WARNING, THAT IS CLEARLY MADE TO STIR UP DRAMA, AND THE POSTER WILL FIND THEMSELVES ON TO WITH MANAGEMENT REVIEW.

THIS NONSENSE IS STOPPING NOW. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY - THEN KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

I do not read it that way at all, simply that they do not know. Whether he walked away, accepted a ride or was removed not alive, they do not know. All would fall under "somehow".

This just got me thinking. Does this mean they have nothing to go on at all? Like did they take HRD dogs in the house and there were no alerts? They found no evidence to show Dylan is deceased. If he died in the house and they did bring HRD dogs in the house and removed him in a vehicle, the dogs should have hit right? So if they have nothing to go on to even try to begin to know what has definitively happened to him there really is no focal point for any specific person's involvement, IMO.

The only thing I know, other than the above, about working is an article I believe early Jan or so that said 'er and mr BOTH went back to work last week' . The gist of it being they had to return to their ' normal lives/ routines' and it was hard for them. I have never been able to find that article again and am wondering if I imagined it. I've asked countless times and looked as well because I wondered when that article was made in relation to MR's statement that he 'handed out fliers while working'. Because at the time MR said that it seemed to overlap with the other statement about just returning to work last week in which case he had not been able to work or hand out fliers and I wondered what he was talking about. I'm sure after my run on sentence you are all wondering what I'm talking about too. Short answer, No, sorry NC I don't have anything :)

Thanks Cheese! I forgot about those. I could just remember the guy not confirming or denying his employment. Sounds like your msm file is as big as mine :)

We do not know if HRD dogs were used in the house. We do not know what was found in the search. We do not know what LE does or does not have to go on. All we know is that Dylan is still missing. And that multiple HRD dogs have hit on multiple occasions on Vallecito Lake.
