I think EH knows way more than any of us can imagine.
She knew MR failed that poly longggggg ago.

I don't see a link or a JMO there....

Would it be fair to say, do you think, that MR told EH what LE told him? Or you have something to show me that LE told ER the results? I don't think ER ever named her source even in that convoluted and misleading Nancy Grace interview.

A lot of the articles get updated so some of them don't make sense with the dates.

MOO If LE isn't sharing information freely with MR, maybe it's a sign that he's their POI.

BBM
Jumping off your post since I wanted to ask ?'s about the 3-21-13 LE release (Link below).

The March 2013 Sheriff's Office release states:

Mark’s and Dylan’s interactions and activities within the community on November 18th and 19th, as well as tips related to persons, locations and sightings remain under investigation.

  • First of all, do we know when the next one is expected? Has there been any new ones since March, 2013 that I'm not aware of?
  • I just noticed that this release does not indicate anything at all about ER/MH/CR actions/activities remaining under investigation. Does this mean that only MR remains under investigation as of March 2013?
  • Since this is now June 2013, has there been any updates to that statement about MR's interactions/activities remaining under investigation as of June 2013?
Also,

Investigators are asking for information from anyone who may have been at their Vallecito homes or traveling in Vallecito on CR 500 or CR 501 between 7:00 PM Sunday, November 18th and 7:00 PM on Monday, November 19th.

  • Is there a particular reason that the timeline is requested until 7:00 p.m. on Monday since DR had already been reported missing by that time? (Just curious as to the 7:00 p.m.)

This is a poster from 11/20 - it does not list clothing. I kind of doubt that the clothing listed on any missing poster was provided by MR. I think by then ER had already asserted herself, trying to make sure everything was getting done to find Dylan. That's all MOO.

This one was posted on the FMDR FB page on 11/24 and says he may have had his backpack.

So far the earliest article I've found that mentions the backpack is 11/20 at 5:47pm.

I'm going to keep looking.

ETA: here's one at 5:15pm

These dates and times tend to make me think that Mark mentioned the backpack as being missing possibly on Monday night and LE didn't release the information until Tuesday. Just my opinion and it's not based on anything that I read on Facebook or MSM.

Here's some backpack MSM statements to see what was said early on versus what has been said recently (Using blue & red to indicate differences). When I make sure I have all the statements, I'll copy/paste it in the Media/Timeline thread for future reference. Anyone have any edits/additions, let me know.

MSM –BACKPACK STATEMENTS

11-18-12 – Dylan arrives LaPlata County

11-19-12 – Dylan reported missing

11-20-12
“Apparently he had a black Hurley backpack when he arrived, and the father stated it was not at the house,” Bender said.

11-25-12
Bender also repeated that Dylan is 5 feet tall, 105 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white “Duke Blue Devils” baseball cap, black Nike T-shirt, black shorts, black Jordan tennis shoes and the backpack.

When he (MR) returned at 11:30 a.m., he said Dylan was gone, as was his backpack. When he got back at 11:30, his son's dirty cereal bowl was beside the sink. The television was on Nickelodeon. His son's fishing pole was gone. So was his black-and-gray backpack. A few articles of clothing were left behind on the couch."

Mark Redwine:
... So when I didn’t come across his backpack immediately, I guess I didn’t think a whole lot of it because how much can he have in it? I mean, it’s a backpack… my guess is he had a few changes of clothes. You know there’s talk about his cell phone charger being in it. There’s not much in it. He didn’t bring his video games—he didn’t bring any of the things that he would do while he was here with me. So, I didn’t think much of it at the time.
M. Blasius Interview

02-26-13
When I got home, the TV was on and it was on one of the Nickelodeon channels that he’s always watching. I didn’t notice his backpack not being there. There was a fishing pole at the house and it was Dylan’s fishing pole. That fishing pole was never found.

T: When did you first find out that --or is it true that all of Dylan’s clothing and his iPod are missing?

MR: Well, to answer your question with a yes or no answer, yes, that’s true, but to clarify that, it wasn't ‘till, you know, a short time that law enforcement was aware of what was going on and was involved and I know that they immediately brought in some dogs to start tracking ya know, his movement, and try to figure out the direction that he was headed, and the question was posed to me, is his backpack here? and I'm like well I don't know, let me go look for it because I ..that's not something that I was looking for…so you know it probably took ..I wanna say the first day maybe even two before it was determined that yes, his backpack was not here..my only concern was Dylan and what have we got to do to find him…and where is he?

The Dr. Phil show vindicated her when MR stated he was told his poly was inconclusive and/or he failed. Doesn't matter who her source was, MR backed her up!

I don't believe for a minute, that the parent of a missing child, who had JUST ARRIVED the previous night, with all of their belongings in a backpack, WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY LOOK AND SEE IF IT WAS STILL THERE.

Wouldn't he wonder if the cell was still there? Or his hoodie? And if his clothes were left behind? I do not believe that he never looked to see if he had his backpack with him or not> Sorry/

It was the nancy grace show and ER was on the phone and said Mr failed.
then they danced around the inconclusive BS.
She has been more than considerate to MR IMO

Oh geez, how'd I miss that?
Thanks is not enough for all you do, TxJan! And thanks for reposting, Lordeebee!

The wording on the 11/20 post is the same as it was in my link, so I'm satisfied that either came from the same press release or may even be the same article.

Yeah, and what about the sweatpants seized in the search? And the monster drink emblazoned sweatshirt that no one has seen or listed as part of his clothing?

LE has said that ALL of Dylan's belongings were gone. So those things that Mark daid were left by Dylan, were not actually left in this particular visit, imo.

He was too concerned with the fishing pole!

I am putting forth the theory that MR was her SOURCE.

Its very possible they all went the same day for polys, and also very possible
the results were discussed by MR and his sons for they were with him in the first days.

So to clarify, Mark seems to have said by the 20th, that the backpack was missing. But personally, I don't believe him when he says he never thought of looking for it until LE asked him if it was still there. That makes no sense at all. He said he was home fo 48 hrs because LE told him to wait for Dylan. So he is going to sit at the cabin for 2 days and never think to check if Dylan left his backpack home or not?

ETA: I believe that when LE asked him, 24 to 48 hrs later, Mark wanted to be able to say to them " Well, let me look, I had not thought to check that out earlier, but hey, Whaddya know, looks like he took everything with him...wow..."

I agree. I can't imagine not looking for his backpack - and I probably would have looked for it right away, not after a nap, not if I suspected he might have left for his friends' house in some unknown fashion. No way no how would I have even sat down that afternoon until I knew where my son was.

So what does that mean that MR didn't mention the backpack was missing - was he trying to buy time to hide the backpack from LE? Was the backpack already disposed of and MR couldn't think of a good story for why it wasn't there so he delayed mentioning it until someone asked?

ER knew that Dylan had left her house with a backpack - did she tell LE to look for a backpack? I fully believe she was giving LE as much information as possible, first by phone on her way down and then in person when she finally arrived. I also believe she and MR were not sharing information so she wouldn't have known what MR was or was not telling LE.

Wouldn't LE have asked MR about the backpack the evening of the 19th when the search was first starting? When did they do that cursory walkthrough looking for Dylan's cell phone? Why wouldn't they have looked for a backpack then?

I am putting forth the theory that MR was her SOURCE.

That's the most obvious source. And we know that LE can use deception when using polygraphs so what ever they told Mark is not necessarily the truth. MOO.
