Hi everyone... I see a lot has transpired over the last couple weeks! I don't know if I'll be able to catch up on the thread at this point, but I'll try over the next few days. I became a grandma last night, so I have a feeling I'm going to be a little busy over the next few weeks as well. Hopefully I'll be able to come back and post more often after things settle back down.

I listened to Tricia's radio show this morning, and again I'm just struck by the emotion in EH's voice and how hard she tries to hold herself together... I never imagined it'd be this long and there would still be no solid answers.

Still praying for and thinking of everyone involved - especially Dylan. I hope you're doing alright as well AZGrandma. I'm still so impressed by your resolve to be there for Dylan and others in your extended family... I don't know how you do it, really. Hang in there and keep the faith. The truth has to eventually come out - one way or another...

T: right, so when did you notice that everything was missing…and don't u find that really strange?

MR: well, I guess I don't find it strange, and maybe thats just me…and again ya know, when I got back from running my errands and Dylan wasn't here, I noticed the TV was on, he had it tuned to one of the Nickelodeon stations, like the Teen Nick Jr, there was a bowl of cereal from him having a bite to eat, but when I got here, he was nowhere to be found, I obviously didn't think at that particular point moment in time that there was anything wrong, it's not unlike Dylan to go off, because I do live up in the mountains, for him to wander over to the river, across the street, or go over to the road up by the campgrounds, which even brings you closer to the river, or you know, if he's been known to climb up behind the rock wall which sits behind my house, kind of get out behind there a little bit, but what was odd was that hours had passed by and he hadn't returned, it's not like him to be gone a long period of time, and thats when I started getting suspicious about what was going on with him, and obviously during this time frame I had tried to call him and text him, and I never had gotten a response so I immediately got into my vehicle and started to go try tracking down his friends, well unfortunately its about a 30 minute ride from my house to the town of Bayfield, but along the way, one of his friends actually lives up here, at the lake, I stopped by this kids house, he wasn't home, or nobody answered the door, and so I'm driving by the lake kind of slow, looking for maybe Dylan being at the lake--I noticed that his pole wasn't where it normally would be, I saw no evidence of anyone down at the lake fishing, but ya know sometimes with all the trees it can be hard to see the entire shore line but but ya know, I was in, I really wanted to find Dylan, so I made my way down to his friends house, that I knew where he lived, as soon as I got to his friends house, and I knocked on the door, there was two of his friends there and the first words out of my mouth was have you seen or heard from Dylan, and their response was , no we have been trying to get a hold of him all day , we haven't heard from him or seen him either, And THATs when I got alarmed, to the point where I drove over to the Bayfield Marshals office, sat down right next to the guy, well I had to pull him out of another office, but I tracked one down, we went into his office, he was on his computer, typing in his stuff, you know, putting out a BOLO, or some kind of alert, to let people in the Law Enforcement know that to be on the look out for Dylan, and gave him a description and so forth, and that's when I texted Elaine.

Stop with the bickering please. Do not twist the words of other posters. Read what they write and mean what you write.

Thanks everyone! Mommy and baby are both doing very well, thankfully... We're all exhausted, but quite happy! I forgot just how precious newborns are - and how wonderful that new baby smell is as well! :)

Is this right? Dylan’s Iphone Touch needs a WI-FI connection in order to work so the only place it would work after Dylan and Mark left McDonalds was at Mark’s house?

Strictly moo but to me it seems quite apparent exactly what/why Elaine may be hesitant in divulging the exact details of the upcoming search..again this is moo but If I was in these unfortunate shoes that Elaine presently is, I, too would be extremely hesitant in publicly stating the specific details of any upcoming search due to the entire motive here is to find Dylan in the search.. and in my strong opinion believing Mark is fully involved in the disappearance..then IMO obvious it would be that one would not BE wanting those details known BY ANYONE WHOSE QUITE POSSIBLY INVOLVED for the obvious reasons of thwarting the entire motive of searching to find Dylan..

one more time, this is MOO, but to me this is not a mystery as to why the search details are NOT being on open broadcast in order to not make the already extremely difficult and daunting task of Finding Dylan just that much harder and less likely to be accomplished.

Jmo, tho!

Or anywhere where there's wifi. Yes that is correct.

Well, it is possible if you have a smartphone with a data plan to do what's called tethering, and allow other devices to connect to the Internet via your phone. Your phone becomes a wifi hotspot and an iPod could connect to it. My point being that if MR had a smartphone and data plan that allowed tethering it is possible that Dylan could connect his iPod this way.

Additionally most of the cell phone providers sell hotspot devices that have data plans and are just there to provide data access to multiple devices.

I tether on rare occasions with my phone, if i need interne access for my laptop and I'm not near wifi. Rare because it can really eat up the data.

True, but I don't see tethering in this case. If Dylan's phone was working, he could text with that. If Mark let Dylan borrow his phone to tether, he hasn't mentioned it, and you'd think he would have and that LE would have checked on it. (I may be wrong, but Mark does not strike me as a tethering kind of guy. The average person doesn't really know about it.)

In this case, since there was wifi, logic dictates Dylan most likely used wifi. Although that has not been confirmed.....

Dylan could use his iPod touch or his mobile to text. He had a land-line he could use also to make phone calls as well so that is 3 options of the bat .

He had plans with R for Monday which he had arranged and yet despite this after Sunday evening Dylan is never seen or heard from again .

I still think Sunday evening is the key here :cow:

For some reason with many options, Dylan wasn't able to to communicate; thereby he stopped communication with ALL his friends and family suddenly the night before he goes missing on a court-ordered visit ~ never to be heard from again. Police have not released a new release since since March stating that they were done or not investigating Mark. Is there new ino. that I am not aware of?

Nope , I think March was the last time LE said anything .

I hope that LE are building a case but I find it highly unlikely as its been 6 months and its still pretty much at the same stage as back then !

I don't believe for a minute, that the parent of a missing child, who had JUST ARRIVED the previous night, with all of their belongings in a backpack, WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY LOOK AND SEE IF IT WAS STILL THERE.

Wouldn't he wonder if the cell was still there? Or his hoodie? And if his clothes were left behind? I do not believe that he never looked to see if he had his backpack with him or not> Sorry/

I am helplessly behind at this point, but I just wanted to say that you don't "check" if you already (for whatever reason) know...
