If Dylan was wandering around on Monday then why no communication with anybody and why did nobody spot him ?

There's no way to say for sure why Dylan didn't communicate with anyone on Monday, but it sure is possible that someone spotted him and abducted him. MOO.

Hey, maybe some SO is using campgrounds as base camp for his crimes.

That is a scary thought, and if there were not sick people out there I would say impossible, but since there are sick people in the world, I can't say with certainty that something like that is out of the question. Think of serial killers, like the I-5 killer. He went up the coast right, California to Washington? A serial SO, targeting different camp sites, could be a possible MO for one. Think about this, a lot of SO target playgrounds because of the number of kids there. Well a lot of families take their kids camping, and they may not monitor them as closely, so it could very well be a place a SO would be drawn to.

Does anyone know when the closest RSO was checked out and what he did to be an RSO? Most jurisdictions give more info than I could find.

Posting this again. I think the middle map is really useful when articles talk about places in the Vallecito lake area. I thought the place with the RSO that MR referred to in the uncut interview as "just down the road" was the Blue Spruce, but my memory might be off.

The Blue Spruce is where the RSO lives. I was reading about that place a while back, and I'm not real sure if they even have camping spots for tents. What I found about the place is mainly that they rent cabins and RV sites. That would pretty more or less leave (but not entirely) the RSO himself, one of his visitors or someone who owns an RV and was camped there. It just seems so conveniently located to me though. The intersection of CR 500 and CR 501 is not that far from the house.

I didn't even think so much about campgrounds until we started talking about how they don't ask for ID. If you only use cash and stay at places that don't record who you are, well then, you have a way of moving around the country doing who knows what.

I don't know about the closest RSO but I know that LE said that they checked out all of the RSO in the area. Unregistered SO's is something that they would have no way of checking out. MOO.

I think the first half of your question is important. I agree, not contacting anyone Monday is a major issue for any theory that has Dylan leave the house voluntarily. IMO

I keep going back to this in my mind as something I would like to see. I would like to see a copy of Dylan's cell records for a month, just to get a bigger picture of his patterns. I myself, as well as my oldest, goes through "spurts." We may talk or text extensively, then we may have a week where we don't text or talk to anyone. I noted that this week, my daughter is usually always on the phone, FB, texting, something but this week it was like she was in a chill mode where all she did was play games on her iPod. Sometimes we feel like talking, and sometimes we are just into something else at the time. I would just like to see the behavioral pattern when it comes to him and communication with others.

I do think that if his cell's battery was dead that he may not have used the land line to call anyone because of maybe not knowing the numbers by heart. Doesn't account for the iPod, but if it's battery were dead also, then it may. My kid tends to run down all devices to the point of having none left before she charges them. I keep thinking if Dylan wanted to get there more hurried than waiting for MR, and his devices were all drained, would he sit around and wait for them to charge, or just toss 'em in his bag, thinking he will charge them up when he gets to his destination.

Yes. They said they did. I wonder how long it took. I could find nothing in the database about his type of offense The one who is really close to MR.

so some time after 9:37 pm he never contacted another person, then walked to the campground and met up with a SO. Didn't have time to call his friend to let him know he couldn't make it, didn't leave a note, didn't call his dad, just started out for the campground.

As many have pointed out, it is important to keep our minds open to all possibilities. That said, I am having a hard time processing the RSO theory through my probability and logic filter. The fact the boy vanished almost immediately after he arrived suggests premeditation to me.
This appears to be a crime of revenge, of which I believe will unravel and be revealed.
How I pray I am wrong.

I think he would have let someone know, he was 13 years old not 3. Several methods of communication available but he elects to set off on what I consider quite a long jaunt without letting anyone know? And all forms of communication broken? And Imo I don't think he'd consider walking all that way in the first place.
