I'm skipping ahead here a few pages. It's been intimidating for me post much here, I'm shy! I have read every page (other than fast forwarding here) and I'm so sad that regardless of who may have harmed DR, it doesn't look good. He's such a cutie pie! I know this is Bery far fetched and I don't want to underestimate an actual crime nor do I think that this is a 100% theory bit is it possible that he could have harmed himself. It sounds so horrible to even suggest. Just an alternative to the probable scenarios right now.

I know that children of divorce ( I am one) can have it rougher in a lot of ways. IMO.

I'm on the fence too. I would love to see that in light of all the new threads popping up,that this little boy is found alive. It would make my Christmas wish list

Apologies on typos... Vodka.

Cheers and welcome. No worries we dont bite so dont be shy :seeya:

I am not sure if that is correct. Because we have Dad's statement, that he didn't understand why they didn't start searching the lake sooner, because he told them from day one the pole was missing. So I think they already wondered if the boy was at a fishing spot, and that is why the dogs even went to that lake. IDK for sure though.

Is there confirmation from LE that dad said this on day #1? I don't remember, but maybe there's a link. I think people are confused on the timeline because dad's statement may be contradicting LE's. Not insinuating that this is true, but after scent dogs have hit somewhere near the lake and a search is initiated, someone could then claim "he could be there because his fishing pole is missing," knowing there's a body in the lake. Later, the person could claim that they were the one who suggested checking there only to deflect suspicion.

Again, not saying this did happen. But it would be nice to know the true sequence of events from LE's mouth.

If Dylan is not alive, being in the water may offer the best chance to find him, as it sounds very remote around there.

Thank You for the link. My speakers are acting up and couldn"t really hear much but if they found an ipod that doesn"t sound good at all...JMO.. Do you know if it was identified by other family members as belonging to Dylan?

They haven't said. I would love for it to be Dylan's though because that would at least be some evidence that he arrived safely at Dad's house! MOO

I could not hear it either.

Dad says he saw Dylan on Monday, but LE can't confirm it, since nobody else says they saw Dylan on Monday. LE says they don't call dad a suspect or PofI, but they haven't said that he is cleared either.

Bingo, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we've heard the term "ruled out", right? (as we clearly heard in Jessica's case).

Sad to see I'm not the only one with these thoughts.

I wonder if the HRD dogs weren't right all along.

I have stated several times they need to go back to the water. I dont know why i feel so strongly or why i am even stating it. I just would feel better if there was a more thorough search of the water. I get that task could be daunting.

Thanks for the welcome! I didn't quote .. Sorry !!

I have to admit I joined this thread late because I thought it was merely a custody issue at first. :-(. He is sooo beautiful but there is something behind his eyes in only the few pictures I've seen. Please don't let this boy be gone by a relative. =[

He's at that age. He needs a strong influence an is also becoming strong himself.

Good night, I do pray to my God that he will be found.

Hugs to all of you. You are all some good sleuthers!

FYI- I'm not familiar with the court websites out there but the few minutes I spent, there was nothing on MR. I could be wrong!

Not sure if it has been mentioned but there is a 14 year old girl missing from Thorton Colorado also. 14 year old Bryanna Barragan was last seen on 11/23/12

Hm. Was just viewing Dylan related videos on YouTube. One showed one of dad's trucks being towed away during the task force search at the home, and I suddenly wondered if LE will put out a flyer with the trucks asking if anyone saw either/both trucks during the same timeframe as pix and video were requested (Sun 6 PM - Mon Noon), like they did in Kyron's case. Just a random thought. :dunno:

Even if there was an ipod in the house and it belongs to Dylan, it only proves that his things or some of his things were there.

What? Omg, googling...how on earth have I not heard about this? I practically live here.

I wish we knew of one confirmed sighting of Dylan somewhere, anywhere after his arrival in Durango. Not someone who saw some kid who "could" have been Dylan. An actual, verified, sighting.

I'm afraid that whatever happened to Dylan happened nearly immediately after his arrival. And that whatever happened didn't happen in a vehicle or property owned by Dad. He was taken somewhere and whatever happened to him, was in such a secluded area that it will be unlikely he will be found. :(

IMO

I just wish LE could, or would, confirm the simple fact (if it is one) that Dylan did indeed spend the night at his father's house. That should be something they should be able to know, by bedding, towels, dishes, messes, fingerprints, etc. They will not even say this much.

My response to both above comments, other than agreeing, is:

At this point does LE have confirmation to place Dylan at point A, B, C, D, and so on.....

I posted yesterday I thought there were four time blocks important to examine and verify seperately: 6-8pm Sunday, 8pm-7:30am, 7:30-11:30am, and 11:30-4:30 (though I'd extend the 4:30 to 6pm now)

Where and when can they last account for him, by what means, people, or evidence and whose stories are consistent/inconsistent with any of this?

With the few appeals they've made to the public for specific info/footage and their searches, interviews, and investigation -- they've gone seemingly quiet. Do they need any more help from the public? Is this lull from LE a reflection of Dylan's fate (a lack of urgency)?

It seems (from LE's standpoint) there is no benefit whatsoever for LE to disclose anything pertaining to the search or investigation. We have to take that for whatever it means...

So basically Dylan has just vanished into thin air. Almost 2 weeks later, and no Dylan. Truly tragic. Will we be in the same position this time next week? God, I hope not. I'm still hoping LE will find something, obviously.

I don't know what else to say here, except prayers to everyone.

ps:
I was finally able to watch the uncut interview with MR (with an open mind, of course)...not exactly any smoking guns... The only thing that really stand outs to me is still the use of past tense and things which possibly could be scripted, but that's not exactly a smoking gun, is it? I really don't have a strong read on this, but do have definite suspicions.

I don't have anything else to contribute. I still think my lead to LE is a possibility and hoping something comes of it. Promise to let you guys know what that was, should anything come to light in this investigation. (Some of you would say woop te doo, some might say wow good idea, some might say duh.)

A terrible situation all round. Feel so powerless. :( We just need to keep telling ourselves that LE is doing everything they possibly can, that they know what they're doing, that there are many resources devoted to this case, and something has to break.

I don't have anything to add but I like your post a whole lot. I feel powerless too... tried to not post comments that have been said, re-said, and re-re-re--re-said lol... tried to think of what could help... prayers feel so passive but it's about all I can do. I hope your lead helps directly or indirectly- and that the entire family manages to keep hope alive.

I just wanted to point out that we've known for a long time that there were no confirmed sightings after Sunday. That means that there probably ARE confirmed sightings on Sunday, or they'd probably say no confirmed sightings since he arrived at the airport. There were several reported sightings on Monday, but none checked out (they weren't confirmed). Even though MR saw (or has said he saw) him on Monday, there's nobody who can confirm it. MOO

I couldn't find anything about an iPod in this article. Is this linked to the correct article? Tia
It's in the video.
