Wasn't that a comment thrown in somewhere from someone? I don't recall reading or hearing that on msm?
It concerns me that it was reported in print story that his alleged place of employment was approached for confirmation that he did indeed work there, but they would not answer the question.

Maybe because they would like business to continue as normal. If he didn't work there I am pretty sure they would have said.

OF COURSE THIS IS JMVHO

In the taped interview, he said Monday and Tuesday were set aside for Dylan to spend with his friends.
Wednesday was the day they were going to possible go see MR's brother in Castle Rock.
He said Thursday the plan was to spend Thanksgiving together, just the two of them.
He did not seem to go past Thursday as far as plans; seems that was all still up in the air.

As for the sick aunt, I tend to believe it. While I know people lie about something as serious as having cancer as a scam to get money, those are still few compared to the legitimate cases. Considering the stress that this family is under, I can't imagine them deliberately 'adding' to that, especially with such a serious illness. jmo

Not to be nit picky but I think it is his grandmother that has cancer or we were told has cancer.

I heard it was the grandmother. And that was just a comment by someone on here. Do you have a link?

I lurk a ton on this thread but say little. I'm curious about where Dylan was living before the move...I assume with his mother, but how far was that from his dad's and did he spend every weekend at his dad's? I apologize in advance if this has been gone over but I don't remember seeing it :)

I know you weren't asking me, but I was just re-reading posts from Thread 5, so I figured I'd link this, if this is what the other poster was referring to.

(of course that poster is not verified, as far as I know, so we can only take it for what it appears to be). jmo.

Sorry to insert myself, hope not to create further upset.

It's on the first couple of pages on the last thread, I don't know how to pull it over... I'll try. This person said they are a family friend.... I'm saying it again: this is the Internet.............

I think this is marked on the case map that Yoda or Otto made. The link is in the first thread (media thread).

When parents separate, the rules in one home often conflict with the rules in the other parent’s home. Just because Dylan was allowed to use his phone and text his friends etc as much as he wanted at his mom’s, doesn’t necessarily mean he could while he was staying with his dad. So Dylan could have been told to turn off his phone after he texted his mother.

I doubt Dylan volunteered to turn off his phone but that's jmo.

What happened when the dogs were brought in to search for Dylan? If Dylan never went into his father’s house, would the dogs be able to track his scent?

LE probably checked the tires on the vehicles for soil. I wonder if the vehicles were washed after Dylan disappeared?

TIA

You guys............ DAD GUM ! I went out for 2 hours to run errands and there are 6 pages to read :(

If MR wanted to kidnap Dylan due to custodial issues, then it seems unlikely that he would report him missing and draw attention to himself. In cases of parental abduction, the parent usually goes missing with the child.

Dylan's friends said that he has been known to hitchhike. I wonder if his parents were aware of that.

Hmm, good point. Why not wait until the end of the entire week's visit,, then the trail would be much colder.

Understood, not nitpicky at all! :) And thank you for pointing that out. I went and checked and found my mistake.

LE said they verified Dylan arrived at the airport.
So I don't think LE verified yet that Dylan was at the store.

That should have been a fairly simple and quick verification imo. I wonder why it wasn't?

And for some reason my gut tells me dad is not the bad guy.....again just my gut and JMO!

You could be right!
I am always suspicious of the last person to see someone till LE rules them out!

To elaborate, I was wondering the other day if all the mileage on the truck is accounted for? At this exact moment, I don't know how they would do that - determine how many miles were on his car before he left for the airport? Wonder what their method is for determining that?

I am sure :twocents: that LE has verified if he was at a grocery store on the way home if he was. As for LE telling the media they fact checked this: we may never know.
