We were told that there was no clothing of Dylan's left behind only to learn that is not true. Where did that story come from anyway?

Also did LE specifically ever say that they requested the mom to bring clothing items of Dylan's or did she just bring them on her own? Because it makes no sense when some of his clothing was right in his dad's home all along that he brought.

Unless these are some Dylan pulled out of his bag looking for other clothing and had never worn them since they had been cleaned.

When did he disappear before?
Any one know.

I wonder where the dad was Monday afternoon when he was texting Dylan. Was he at home "with spotty cell reception". So he does have cable (and probably internet) at his house.

I wonder if he was remembering back to a time when Dylan would watch Nickelodeon....sounds like a reflection. I would think most 13 years olds would be past those programs....

My son is almost 15 and still watches

Very well said. I remember when Breeann Rodriguez was missing and some were thinking her parents were involved. I never really thought they were. I don't know though, it's so hard for me to ever think that anyone could ever harm their own child. I really don't think it happened in this case either.

I know how you feel. Sadly I have been here so long that I know very well that mothers and fathers can murder their children although it is still rare thank goodness.

But I just dont see it in this case nor did I in the Rodriquez case among many others and when I have had those gut feelings about some parents my gut feeling was right. So I do trust my gut feelings because it has served me very well not only here but in real life as well.

Now could I be off on this one? Sure, but at this time I see nothing that shows me at this time that Mr. Redwine is involved in the disappearance of his child.

Usually if children are murdered the parent takes off with the child if it is due to a custody issue and may wind up killing the child and themselves or just the child or children and these children are usually much younger than Dylan and the divorce is usually rather new.

This couple have been divorced since 2007 and this is not the first trip he has made back to his hometown to be with his father and friends. He was just there in September, 2012.

One thing I just thought of re: the last uncut interview with MR...(I hope I can make sense with this):

I think MR specifically states (looking for quote / need to watch interview again) that he would have no problem, and/or understands the need for Dylan to see his friends. Is he saying this due to specific accusations that this is not the case and perhaps is motive or cause for an accident, or he is he just saying this out of the blue (ugh, trying to explain this)...

Meaning, if he is not saying this in response to anything, then maybe this is an odd comment to go out of one's way to make. Ugh I know this isn't a very clear post, sorry.

Almost like a justification...

Wow, I see your point. Nice find.

The last article posted says rsos are still being investigated

Also, another comment from the same video store interview was about flights for Dylan. MR mentioned Dylan's last flight having a connection and layover being an issue "for Dylan's mother". I took note that his focus was on ER not liking it, NOT on Dylan's best interests. Anyway, MR said in this interview that he flew him directly this time, but added something about the earlier flight being round trip and I thought "is he implying Dylan came for Thanksgiving on a ONE WAY flight?"

I don't know how to bring the link here, but if anyone can, I'd be curious what anyone else thinks about that.

Wow, I hope we can find that interview.

Does anyone know where the friend lived in Vallecito? I can see him heading to a friends house nearby more so than trying to get into Bayfield. I wonder if this friend was part of the group that was meeting up Monday morning.

I am glad to see he has now hired an attorney. He should have done that the second his ex accused him of harming Dylan.

Also I just read that once before Dylan disappeared.......does anyone have any further information about this? tia

I believe it was a poorly worded article, not that he had disappeared before but that he had called his Mom before when he was having a hard time at the lake.

It ties in with what his brother said about Dylan knowing he could ring his Mom, Stepfather or brother if he needed them.

I'd be interested to know the timing of that incidence, it wouldn't surprise me if it was during the Septmenber visit.

Thank you for this. It's my first post on Dylan's thread and am in tears watching this. What a boy!

I know it's been said by his mother that Dylan was not an outdoorsy kid but I beg to differ after watching this. My girls all 6 of them wouldn't be that active outdoors in their lifetime. Maybe the difference between city kids and country kids-mine are city and I wish now after seeing Dylan they could have that beautiful God's country more than they have.

Following along and praying for you Dylan.

Absolutely. " that boy " is very comfortable outside and I wonder why his mom would even say such a thing? I mean of course he could be indoors all week doing school work, gaming , what not . Maybe only gets a chance to be an outdoorsy kid on weekends or when at dads but still he doesn't look out of place or like he s new to outdoor adventure.
Poor baby.

And he is trying to deal with the added weight of knowing that some people think he had something to do with his son's disappearance because he was the last one to see him. He has contacted a criminal-defense attorney to help him with that.
http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_22108222

Again I must ask: why would a father of a missing child contact a criminal defense attorney because his ex-wife had made a statement to the media that she felt her ex may be involved in her son's disappearance?

I call BS on why he claims he contacted a criminal defense attorney.

IMO, it probably has more to do with the recent "official interview" with LE and with the questions that were probably asked during the course of that official interview.

As a ' retired' paralegal, I can say that guilty or innocent, it is strongly advised if you get into any type of dicey or awkward legal situation, retaining a lawyer is best. It does look like you're guilty, but if everyone understood how hammering LE can be on the guilty or innocent, it just makes sense. That being said I'm on the fence with dad.... I just do not know his involvement and don't even want to guess. But hiring counsel was a good move, either way !

Good Morning One and All! Hard to believe we are still looking for Dylan....because I have been hoping he would be found at any time. I see we have some "newer" info, in that Dad says some of Dylan's clothes were left behind....Dylan's blanket was pushed aside....and Dylan's cereal bowl was left next to the sink (what a good kid!....mine never put their bowls near the sink when they were 13, even though I often scolded them for leaving them here and there around the house). The TV was on NICK, with Spongebob, Max and Ruby (preschool programming) and Dora the Explorerer (preschool, again) playing during the hours dad was away.

Could this be a staged scenario? Not being snarky, just asking. I mean, we all initially wondered why he would take all of his clothing with him in the backpack....but why not? He couldn't have had that many clothes to begin with, right? Not if they were all within a backpack. If he was headed out to a friend's house, would he leave some clothing behind? If he was headed fishing, what would he take in the backpack? If someone came to the door and took him, would he even bother to take the backpack at all....and to also put his cereal bowl by the sink?

I just can't get the pieces to add up.

The last article posted says rsos are still being investigated

Am typing on phone so sorry if it mixes up my words hahaha. One third of the task force is still investigating rsos. No I personally don't think he staged the house. Moo

I dont know where the link is but Dad did say Dylan was going to spend a couple days with his Friends. So taking the backpack with him makes sense.
