I don't know if we are allowed to talk about this, but when MSM said something about protective orders I started thinking, I think if that was the case, someone might of gone threw anger management and that surely appears to be what is being practiced...I saw it in the comment about not lashing out, and several other things done and said.

Im not so sure about that didnt they do a tv interview with dad sitting on the sofa with sheets and clothes still on the couch!

So dad's scent gets on these important articles? hmmmm

Ok, here is my my most burning question: video-store interview references Dylan having flown on a ROUND TRIP ticket the last time. It cuts off before the end, so was MR implying (or did he go on to actually say off camera) that THIS one was only one way??
That bothered me more than anything else.

If it WAS one way, would that be a concern to any of you out there?

I think he went on to explain that the prior trip included a layover and changing of planes .. this time he made sure the had a straight through flight ..

I actually think he used "round trip" when he meant to say "straight through" based on the conversation immediately following..

IMO .. and as I remember it.

WARNING: Mental health issues are OFF the table. We don't need to start labeling everyone and there has been nothing in MSM or from LE that indicates anyone in the family has such issues.

It is understood that many members have their own personal experiences, but those don't necessarily relate here. Until LE/MSM gives us some indication of such issues, personal interpretations of the family's behavior resulting in some "named" mental health issue will be removed.

Thanks,

Salem

I wanted to c&p from the transcript in the Media & Timeline just to have what you're referencing handy (not that you need it, just for general reference):

R: So he was going to spend a whole week with you. When was the last time he saw you?

M: Um, I think probably sometime in early September, I had flown him over from Colorado Springs on a round trip ticket on that point so he came over here and probably spent three or four days with me and that. And then you know, we obviously got him back to the plane and got him back safely to his mom. And you know, in that case it was a transfer flight from the Durango airport or Denver airport leaving to Colorado Springs. And it was my goal to keep him on a direct flight or one that he never had to change planes on with because there was some controversy between mom and I about him being thirteen years old and being able to do those kinds of things. And so, you know, when I got the flight for him I made sure it was flight he could get on in Colorado...

This answer has never been entirely clear based on phrasing and the cut off at the end. imo.

Well..,I would think it would bother DRs mom for sure. I think someone "planning" to do away with someone would be STUPID to buy a one way ticket! So, no it doesn't worry me.

how do we know they have been in litigation for seven years?

The mother just moved away and it more then likely affected visitation and support.:twocents:

There was a custody trial that dad lost, some "allegations" of abuse reported by the msm and what sounds like an ugly divorce, mom made serious negative statements about dad to the media. Seems they are incapable of making any decisions amicably.

well, he lives there.

Also, there are scent discrimination dogs. They were used in the Isabel Celis case as well as the Missing Iowa Cousins' case (just to name a few)

not if the dad planned on driving him home... the latest article says that dad is from denver (he also works out of town)

Yeah, in same interview he states one possibility for Thanksgiving was to go to his brother's in Castle Rock? I wonder if the brother knew anything about that. They would have left Wednesday, so only Monday and Tuesday locally, then Thursday in Castle Rock, then where and what on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?

I've tried to reason that out too....

It sounds to me like there was some controversy over the delayed flight. Dylan was supposed to come out on the 17th and mom rescheduled to the 19th with the reason that there was something mechanically wrong with the plane.

Personally, that's not a good reason because the airport would get a new plane and the flight would go out as scheduled, or a bit late. BUT, in all my travels, I have never been delayed 2 days because of a mechanical problem with a plane.

The only thing that would make this reasonable is if the flight was chartered on a private plane. So far, we have no evidence of that.

Just sayin'

I find it interesting that she claims to have had a conversation about it. Is there a history there?

I have never had a hitchhiking conversation with my son (who is a year older than Dylan)... it has never crossed my mind to really.

I think there is more with the hitchhiking... the friends have said it and now the mom is saying she talked with him about it.:twocents:

I hadn't really talked to my kids about hitchhiking, because we live in a city and it isn't done (except for one eccentric man who everyone knows and gives a ride to), but we did have a discussion when we were traveling around the SW one year and saw people doing it. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if she was aware that kids around that area *did* hitchhike, she may have had a conversation with him -- it would probably be a good idea, IMO.

But thank god for the stupid! Only reason most criminals get caught!

Sleuthing the father is not allowed. The discussion rules have been relaxed but that does not mean you can outright accuse him.

No 'tunnel talk' discussion allowed.

All opinions are welcome, please don't talk about being on one team or another. We all want the same thing... Dylan to be found safe

and brought home!!!

bumping this up. Everyone please read the red part.

No, it's not PROOF of anything. I was just sayin'....

there is no evidence of a one way ticket and the video cut out so it is best we do not let this "grow legs"

Me too nursey.

I think poor Dylan had a terrible accident in and around the lake/dam area and has drowned.

He probably thought he had enough time to go fish awhile before his daddy got back home.:(

God how I hope they find him and bring him home.:(

I dont understand why they ever stopped searching knowing they got his scent there for two days in a row.

IMO

He thought he had enough time for a 4 mile hike each way ?

Why didn't he contact his friends, who were waiting for him, and tell them he would be there later?

Had he ever hiked to that lake before, by himself?

Did anyone see him on his 4 mile hike to the lake?

I doubt if it means anything, but when I first saw that (with the words), I thought it was interesting that it was about a boy who lived with his mother and another man (stepfather/boyfriend) and visited with his father. The times with Dad were full of love and laughter, the times with Mom and OtherGuy were sad, angry and abusive (by the guy, not by Mom). I do hope it's just the music he likes, and not the words he relates to.

This song could easily have been wishful thinking on Dylan's part about the relationship he would have loved to have with his father. I remember being a kid and some of the songs I liked highlighted what I missed and what I wished I had.

True, but IMO I don't think this is the case....I was just saying....it just struck me how obvious that would be.,,and I thought I'd share that with the world. Cause I'm funny like that.
