Dylan gets up early every morning at this time for school. Mom says he would have gotten up early to see his friends.

And dad said he went right to bed early so that is one reason I have wondered about the 'out like a light' statement. The kid had slept for about 9 or 10 hours supposedly.

okay....I'm gonna go back an hour and start reading the post...if I'm not back in an hour, please search for me....LOL

He had refused to speak to the press when she made her accusations. Why would she be afraid of what he'd say? TIA

No no no....I was posting about the statement mom made earlier where she said she believed dad capable of the if dad can't have Dylan no one will mentality. My prior post about my friend was because it was her biggest fear, so bad she can't sleep all weekend when her ex has the kids.

It raises some questions about the timeline, doesn't it?

We don't know whether he texted her the minute his plane landed, though. Or whether it was en route to dad's house. Unless I need to re-read or re-watch, too much too fast.

Well NG stated that he texted her at 7:06 as soon as the plane touched down. I don't know how accurate this is but many people turn on their phones and text as they're waiting to get off the plane.

I don't know exactly where I read it or heard it but I'm pretty sure Dad said they were home around 8pm. I could be wrong.

Why does it matter? I thought it was established that this means very little, overall.

I just felt that she may have hope now that he is alive somewhere.

If she talked to him at 7:06 how does she know they went to Walmart and MickeyD's. LE must have them on video because she didnt talk to him after 7:06..

IMO

Because that's what Dad said?

Thanks to all of you who transcribed for those of us who couldn't hear or see!:yourock:

When LE is able to confirm MR's timeline, then I will support the comments of his non-involvement. I'll sit back and wait for that confirmation. But won't hold my breath, of course.

I think it's because of the number of mothers who have had similar past relationships/divorces. MOO

So much love to the other mamas who are familiar with hurtful and abusive men.

My dad was a pretty good single father, and my mom was a druggie. Before she lost parental rights, she had no qualms about us being pawns in whatever game she was playing. The woman who became my step mom is absolutely completely off her rocker, and a truly scary person. OTOH, I had a very very awful foster father as well. Men and women can be horrible, horrible people who make horrible, horrible choices. I think it's so important not to let our own history muddle the waters whenever possible. Not really speaking about this case, just in general.

I know it's easy to look at a man and see glimpses of an ex, but other people see glimpses of their loving father. It's why we all have such different gut reactions.

I don't feel like I have a good gut reaction in this case. I don't generally get good gut reactions on people I can't see in person- the glimpses we get on TV just seem so atypical of the whole person. I am usually so confused on most of these cases, and just hope and pray that LE finds the clues they need.

I think most people have had teens who seem to want to sleep all day. Some will go to bed pretty early and dont even want to get out of bed at noon.

Ours wanted to sleep really late sometimes until we put a stop to it. They really felt worse because they got too much sleep.

Oh goodie. Was Dylan ever abused by his father. Both parties fought and vacated ROs. In 2003 Mark was charged with CHILD ABUSE and NEGLECT. No physical abuse.

Charges were dismissed...not "not convicted" but dismissed
Was on screen

Thanks for transcribing :)

ETA: Guilty of disorderly conduct- excessive noise same year

See watching NG and listening to the mom brings me right back to where I began. Dylan never made it to dads house.

And what did they say about Dad being reluctant to take a 2nd polygraph?

  • #834
Caller asks: Where is Dylan's dad now?

Dylan's mom: I am not sure where he is specifically, but I believe he is in his residence.
For anyone that has seen Dylan, please help us find Dylan. If you know anything please call. Please come forward. (She was crying. So awful. Lord have mercy on this mom!)

Charges dismissed sometimes can mean dismissed because of pleading guilty to other charges... just saying.

Without knowing the specifics of the incident, none of that should be talked about in here. JMHO

What exactly is child abuse that is not physical?

He texted his Mom at 7:06 as soon as he got off the plane and they went to McDonalds and Walmart and were home by 8:00pm? How is that possible?

It isn't! The closest McDonalds is further into town than Walmart. There is no way that he could of been shopping at Walmart, then McDonalds and back home by 8pm!NONE

Would they ask Dad to take a 2nd polygraph if the 1st was inconclusive or what? Would they ask for a 2nd one if the 1st showed deceit or honesty?

I'm sure the<modsnip> will discount her grief. But she sounded devastated. She cried talking about Dylan, pleading with anyone who knows anything to come forward. She said someone knows something and just wants her son home. Poor mom. :(
