Here is Monday night's release from the La Plata County Sheriff's office: snipped here:

Two La Plata County Search & Rescue K-9’s alerted in an area on the south end of the lake Saturday and again on Sunday. Seven scuba divers from the New Mexico State Police Search & Recovery Team
searched the south end of the lake Sunday afternoon without finding anything suspicious. Visibility under water was 7 to 9 feet. Water temperature was 38 degrees. On Monday three different boats, including one with New Mexico State Police divers on board, used four different sonar systems to scan the bottom of the south end of the lake from shore to shore, along the length of the dam and several hundred yards out into the lake from the dam. After seven hours of sonar grid searches, nothing out of the ordinary was found. Due to a complete clearing of the area of the dogs, as well as the surrounding area, no further searches of the lake bottom are planned unless new information is developed.

You might wanna add that this was from LAST Monday, in case anyone only reads "Monday night's release" and thinks it was from today ! (Those dates are really small lol)

yes, but that was scent from cadaver dogs looking for human decomposition. But not scent from tracking dogs hitting specifically upon Dylans scent. They didnt even have clothing for scent dogs for a couple of days afterwards.

I don't recall saying that it was Dylans scent, only that LE were still interested in part of the lake because of scent, I didn't specify decomp or Dylans scent at all.

A mess... that's what . I don't know what to make
of her replies to the MR' poly question. She said I don't know
then acted like she might know but doesn't really know. I don't '
know why she said anything about it.
She sounded like a ' deer in the headlights' on that question.

My guess on this (and it's purely a guess) is she might have been asked by LE not to make comments on this.

Who are those "many people?" Even polygraph experts apparently look for statements like that (using past tense).

Just posters here, is all I meant. There were several posts about the topic.

I thought they ' concluded' the search? I'm so glad
they are still out there looking. This is good news.

They concluded the search of the lake.

My kids wanted to sleep all day too if they were stuck at home with us boring parents. But if they had a chance to go see some good friends from their old hometown, they would have been up and ready if they had a 1o hour nights sleep the night before, imo.[/QUOTE

So true...One thing that keeps going through my mind after working around teen age kids is that kids love to text. Some adults could find that to be quite annoying. With no texting from his phone I do not have a good feeling. :(

Cadaver dogs "hit" near the lake. But cadaver dogs hit on a scent of decomposition, not a specific person.

There is a link and we've discussed it. Tracking dogs lead them to the lake according to the previously posted link.

This is probably wrong to articulate, but the dynamics between mom and dad is probably why this case is getting so much attention. It makes for a good story, good media.

While I don't LIKE it, what is that they say? Any press is good press? I hate that that we, as a society, have become so sensationalized that we don't want to pay much attention unless it's full of drama. But if we're being honest, her accusation and his appearance as a low key guy is basically what is getting Dylan's face and story out there.

Or so it seems, I could be wrong. I think there is something about Dylan's face and shaggy hair that we all fall in love with as well. Seems like such a sweet kid.

While society may view things as sensationalized or not, those of us here at Websleuths usually do not. We type away at those cases that are hidden from MSM...those where dementia patients go missing or troubled kids run away. But there is no doubt that these cases where kids vanish, they are riveting. I so desperately hope Dylan is located soon.

LE said they are done searching the lake unless they get further information.
They didn't find anything useful while searching it.

There are some charges from the late 90's, but there are also these from 2003.

Why would NG put charges from BEFORE Dylan was even born?

To show a history, pattern of behavior

It was one sentence in the narrative of the article, not attributing that idea to anyone in LE. I don't find that credible for one second.

Ok this really confuses me. What exactly did Mom bring the clothes for? Were scent dogs used and if so, did they get anything? I'm aware of the cadaver dogs hitting on human decomposition in the lake but what did the scent dogs find?

I am not sure they even used scent dogs with personal articles t see if he left dads on foot. I have not been able to find any thing reporting that, other than 2 things. One said that they found ' A" scent trail on a street near dad's but they did not have scent items to check it with. [ does anyone else remember reading that? It was posted here somewhere in one of the many articles.]

And in the finddylan FB they have said recently they are TRYING now to get bloodhounds in to dad's neighborhood. So that made me think they never did that yet. JMO

Shows a history and therefore propensity for certain behaviors. Dang......theft???? Yikes

But imo, that reporter mistakenly threw that in as an assumption. There have been no reports that any scent trail led them to the lake. In fact, thery were searching that lake BEFORE mom even gave LE Dylans soiled clothing for the dogs to trail.

They went to the lake because his fishing pole was missing, and I believe that Dad told them he liked to fish there. jmo and speculation.

I don't have the energy that pensfan or scorekeeper had for transcribing so this is all I can contribute (thank you both, btw)

I also don't have the attention span to focus my phone (my oven was beeping)

Theft ??

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/new...-dylan-redwine-whos-been-missing-since-monday

Members of La Plata County Search & Rescue team using bloodhounds searched for the teen Monday night and Tuesday. The search area included the shoreline around Vallecito Lake, several small subdivisions, county roads, steep wooded hillsides and hiking trails. Many of the homes in the area are seasonal while some are occupied year around.

BBM: 19th and 20th
IF their was no scent items ... what were the BH's "scenting" on? The HRD used at the lake on the boats, were not bloodhounds ... going by the pictures shown.

Sorry, I didnt mean to imply you did.

There is just some confusion over ONE reporters statement, that scent dogs followed dylans scent trail TO that lake. And I think that was an error on their part. JMO

LE said they are done searching the lake unless they get further information.
They didn't find anything useful while searching it.

Dad said yesterday LE is still interested in the lake.

One of the hardest parts is the type of information he does get.

Mark Redwine said he was told there's an area of Vallecito Reservoir that's “of interest” to law enforcement. This follows a search by New Mexico state dive crews Nov. 25 near the Vallecito dam. At that time, nothing was found.

Yes, 1992.

These are facts that several of us have been sitting on for a while. You can better understand our questions and suspicions. It doesn't mean that dad is guilty....but it gives most of us pause.
