"Dylan was reportedly unhappy about the Thanksgiving visit to see his father, Bender said."

Good catch. And I doubt that Bender would have concluded that based solely upon Mom's word. jmo

There was a dead body in the trunk of the detectives car that you were asked to run an errand with?? :what:

NO, not completely, just some pieces wrapped in a towel, we were still looking for all the parts.

True as if I had to swear on a stack of bibles.

LOL I see this status update pop up from time to time: "Old phone gone, new phone empty." I don't know...I have ATT, and I thought that the numbers and stuff were supposed to be stored online or something, but so far that hasn't worked out for me (well I've only changed phones once, iPhone to BB, so maybe that's why).

That's my problem. I buy the latest iPhone then get bored and decide I must have whatever the latest Android is before thinking maybe I should try a Windows phone so my back ups are never compatible with the next phone.

They never tell people how they or anyone else did on a test. NEVER!

I'm sorry but this is just not accurate.. LE are at liberty to tell what they want, when they want..

I can name two off the top of my head to prove the above is inaccurate..

Hailey Dunn.. Her mom, Billie Jean Dunne was not only told that she was found to have been deceptive on several pertinent questions.. So, too did they flat out tell her that her live in boyfriend flat out FAILED HIS LDT...

IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME..IT IS SOLELY DEPENDANT UPON THE LE AND WHAT THEY CHOOSE TO SAY OR NOT SAY..IT IS CASE BY CASE AND INDIVIDUAL BY INDIVIDUAL BASIS ON WHETHER LE CHOOSE TO MAKE KNOWN OR NOT KNOWN PEOPLE'S LDTS.

Similar it goes for the Springfield Missing Three Women..that LE were straight up with those that passed and didn't pass their LDT..

Those are two quick examples that came to mind simply because their cases I checked in on today..

The point is LE ABSOLUTELY DO TELL WHATEVER THEY PLEASE ABOUT LDT RESULTS...SOME CHOOSE TO TELL FOR STRATEGIC PURPOSES..SOME DO NOT..ALL DEPENDANT UPON THE LE AND THE CASE.

I am not sure we can say that whatever happened to Dylan has nothing to do with dad, because he was in his dad's care and his dad's home when he went missing.

As for a motive, what about covering an accidental death?

And I disagree that he doesn't care how things look to others. Many of his interviews have been all about his own PR and rehabilitating his reputation, imo.

And I agree that he told the truth about the fishing pole. Right from the jump he said ' go look at the lake.' I don't think he was the last person to want them to find something in the lake. I think it is a good deflection, to shape a scenario where a 13 yr old went off by himself and fell into the lake. jmo

I don't know if he had anything to do with this. I have no idea. But I do think he is a viable option, from what we know so far. jmo

An abductor only had a small window of time to target Dylan. But Dad had 24 hrs. An abductor had to happen upon the situation, and 'luck' into the opportunity. I know it happens sometimes,
but the chances in this case seem slimmer than in some others I have seen, imo.

Totally agree with you...couldn't have said it better....

I will also so this.....as far as thinking MR would not lead them to lake if guilty...but he hasn't been found there. It is possible MR could be leading towards lake to MISLEAD. Who knows.

How do you feel about a LDT?? :floorlaugh:

Let's hope LE gets something to go from their search of the home and that results are in soon. For what it is worth, I am not happy with LE keeping this quiet and not even having a single PC, but I am quite sure they do not care about my opinion. I'd like to think it means they are close to an arrest, but no longer associate silence from LE to mean anything at all.

I have slim hopes that Dylan will be found without a confession at some point, seems to be an area full of places to hide evidence and/or a body.

So sad, still nothing.

Fifteen members of the search task force arrived at Mark Redwine's home at 8:30 this morning; it included members of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI, according to the sheriff's office.

when Dylan was first reported missing, authorities checked Dylan's father's home to see if the boy was there...
"We were checking the basement and other rooms, we were seeing if there had been something left on the bed, like his cellphone," Bender said. "We weren't doing a very meticulous search."

At 1:00 p.m. local time, Bender told ABC News that investigators were still at Redwine's home and "will leave when they feel that they've searched all they needed to search."

FINALLY. I find the day when they had 'scent' clothing for the dogs to trail. : 11/26/12

“Absent any clues, we owe it to Dylan to consider all possibilities,” Bender said. “We will continue to do so.”

None of Dylan’s belongings that could carry his scent was available in the first days of the investigation. But the family had articles of the boy’s clothing delivered on the weekend.

“We have the clothes,” Bender said Monday. “We don’t need them here (at the reservoir), but can use them later.”

Elaine Redwine doesn’t believe her son is a runaway because it wasn’t his nature and because he was happy at his new school in Colorado Springs where he entered eighth grade this fall.

“It’s no comfort that they didn’t find anything in the water today,” she said Monday. “But just looking for your little boy in a lake is horrific.”

Bender said no search is planned for today, but searches will resume if new clues or leads develop.

So that sounds like it was quite some time before they ever got any of Dylans clothing with his scent. So I still believe they NEVER tried to track his trail leaving from Dad's front door. :what:

I was relieved to come on here today and not seen Found Deceased next to Dylan's name. It's been two weeks now, and I'm concerned if he's injured somewhere and waiting for someone to find him, it's not going to happen.

What if someone decided to break into Mark's house, not expecting anyone to be there so they could rob the place and found Dylan there??

What if someone kidnapped him the way they did Steven Stayner and are keeping him the way SS was???

What if someone was watching the house and as soon as Mark left they broke in and kidnapped Dylan, taking all his possessions with him.

I know the physical evidence would argue some of these ideas but as truth is always stranger than fiction, who knows.

I'm just glad for today, it doesn't say Found Deceased next to Dylan's name.

I am only voicing what "I" think katy that is why I always end my posts with, 'IMO.' What others believe is their own choice to make of course. I see no evidence at this time that his father had anything to do with Dylan's disappearance. I would not find him negligent either just because Dylan went missing while he was out running errands. Dylan is of age to stay by himself. It wasnt like he left a young child to fend for himself. None of us can say anything definitive.... yet some believe that MR is involved in spite of the lack of evidence. I am just one of the ones that hasnt seen any evidence to show he is involved. Its just different points of view about the same subject and that is all we have in this case since it remains unsolved with no suspect or POI per LE.

Personally I dont believe in theories of an 'accidental death' and then a coverup. Now I know that worked for CA and her clueless jury but I never believed Caylee accidently died for one second. Children who die by an actual accident have parents who call 911 right away. In fact during the Anthony case I searched extensively for anyone that had had a child die due to an accident and then covered it up to look more like a murder and I found none....

I understand......we have different opinions and preceptions about the same man. I think he is honest and just tells what happened. I dont see him as you do and one who is trying to make himself into something he isnt.

Unfortunately for the children.. abductors always have luck on their side. That is why they are able to abduct children right in broad daylight and no one sees or hears a thing. It has happened right on a busy residential street with houses side by side on each side still no one saw or heard a thing. So it is certainly possible it could happen in a very rural area of a small community, imo.

IMO

Minor point, but per dad, not all of Dylan's possessions are missing. There were some "articles of clothing" still there. Linked in the last page or two.

BBM - Isn't that odd -- as it states here from 12/2/2012:
http://www.canoncitydailyrecord.com/ci_22110078/dad-its-wait-wonder

Mark states that "When he got back at 11:30, his son's dirty cereal bowl was beside the sink. The television was on Nickelodeon. His son's fishing pole was gone. So was his black-and-gray backpack. A few articles of clothing were left behind on the couch."

I wonder why the "few articles of clothing left behind on the couch" were not able to be used in the first days of the investigation" as reported in your link; unless they couldn't find a scent on them? ??? Strange...

Oh Bravo...I am so glad I found a kindred spirit... I have a flip phone, by choice... I do not like to be interrupted when I am doing stuff...If there is an emergency... We have a landline that takes messages..

and I, too, think it rude when people answer their phones while talking/ visiting with me...

Actually... I am enough of an independent soul... That I can just walk away and keep myself entertained!

a landline is good to keep... Since they are more protected from some natural events...

Please... No one throw 'maters at me.. It is just the way I roll...

and I respect others' choices...

But I have been in cars with drivers who literally jump at answering cell phones when they drive... then fumble around looking for the right way to hold it... and checking who is calling...and I feel like it is putting me in danger!

sorry for rant... I know, and accept, that I am a minority...

JMO

Well i am in good company then  I totally hear ya. And yes no offense to prolific texter phone people lol. I have a flip phone too. Before that I had what i called the Maxwell Smart shoe phone. Big. Had an antenna thingy ya had to pull out :floorlaugh: Since the phone issue has been beaten to death i really should see if my phone has GPS. I only take it when i travel alone.

Is the Wal Mart and McDonalds that dad and Dylan went to, are they in La Plata County?

Reason I ask is because LE have been very clear in stating that they have established that Dylan made it to La Plata County Sunday night.. They have been very clear in their never stating that they have established that Dylan made it to his fathers home ever.. This IMO is telling that they made such a very clear distinction..

Hm. I believe it was Bender that said something abt GPS that may contradict this, but maybe it was said irt others' phones. Looks like I'll be looking for that link tonight too, lol.

Took a bit of digging, but found the link where Bender discusses GPS.

GRACE: Sergeant Bender, is it true that nobody can confirm he is seen or heard from since he texted home when he arrived at his dad`s house Sunday night?

BENDER: My understanding is -- and our investigators have checked his cell phone. Also, cell phones have GPS`s, so if they`re turned on, that gives a general location of the person. And we have been following up on those right along, and there`s been no activity on his phone whatsoever since Sunday evening sometime.

I am pretty sure MR would have reported it to the judge. You are talking about someone who went to visit his divorce lawyer on Monday, even though divorce was in 2007.
So I don't think he would just let it go.

The divorce may have been in 2007 but the change to custody only happened a few months ago. Do we know if he was in constant contact with the lawyer since 2007? Do we know why he went to see his divorce lawyer on Monday? Do we know if it was an appointment made in advance or last minute? We know know Dylan arrived later than expected and was meant to be staying at a friend's house, so maybe MR thought it would be a good time to tie up paperwork over the visitation. Maybe he just went in to pay his bill. We just don't know.

I'm really struggling to keep up with the threads in this case, even though there seem to be no or few new facts. :deadhorse: indeed...there are a lot of other cases in the forum that seem to be getting little or no attention.. I'm going to take a break from this one until there's some real news and go look at them.. maybe everyone should take a day away from speculating and walking the same circle and look at something new? Perhaps if we blink.. some news will appear.
