The La Plata County Sheriff's Department said it found several items during a five-day search in the Vallecito area, where 13-year-old Dylan Redwine went missing.

Thank you so much for opening the thread! I hope that whatever they found helps lead us to Dylan or holds some evidentiary value in finding the person who did this. I know many have their opinions of who did this, but perhaps this evidence will be either incriminating or even exculpatory. One way or another, it seems LE is keeping this information close to the vest, so I am hoping that means it is SIGNIFICANT!

Hang in there Dylan! No one has forgotten you!!!

my impression from SM is that EH has been in Vallecito since before the weekend search.

This sounds significant to me. It sounds like maybe they are asking both of them to come in to possibly identify some of the items as belonging to Dylan to be certain they are of significance to the case?

This area is the same area that many people had talked about for a long time now, right? The other side of the lake where the campground is? Near where they have been doing many searches all along? This is all quite close to MR's home, correct? Any locals available to help us out?

Thanks for the heads up on FB. I so hope that this will turn out to be the break that Elaine so desperately needs. I can't begin to imagine how she is feeling right now.

I hope not. She must be a nervous wreck waiting to find out what they have to say. She needs answers and the opportunity to bring Dylan home but it will be such a bittersweet moment.

For reference, attached is a map of the area I believe LE was based out of for the search. By looking at the pictures on FMDR (facebook), I came up with this area using the topological features I could identify.

MiddleMtnMarksHouse shows where Dylan disappeared from in relation to Middle Mtn. I circled the area I believe LE's base was at.

MiddleMtnSearch is more zoomed in on the circle and MiddleMtnSearch zoomed in, is a better view of that area off the road.

If I am completely wrong on this and someone knows it, please let me know.

I wonder if it possible that they actually found the items, or something, on Saturday and have already determined that it relates to Dylan?

Is this something that any of you have seen before? Where they call both parents in to look at items when one is miles and miles away? That seems drastic. It sort of scares me. Makes me fear the worst.
