MINI CLIP: (Poly information)

Dr. Phil: Why Does Mark say he wasn’t too concerned about Dylan’s Disappearance when he first returned home?

(The mini clip – photo of MR alone video)

http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/1988/

Dr. Phil: So you get back at 11:30 and he’s gone…

MR: Right

Dr. Phil: Umm… and so you just laid down to take a nap

MR: Well, no… that… when I got back at 11:30, I didn’t think much of Dylan not being there. I mean, he knows the area, he’s been up to my house MANY times, there’s a campground at the end of the road that’s not (?) right by the river which he tends to go up to every now and then. There’s a bridge right down the street where it crosses over the river which he’s been known to hang out before. There’s a rock wall that’s right directly behind my house that he’s been known to go stompin around in the woods back there. I mean.. it didn’t… I didn’t find it… odd.. that he wasn’t sittin’ there waitin’ for me.

ER: In November?? Mid November??

MR: And you sent him…you sent him without a coat???

ER: Why is it always my fault? Why can’t you take any of the responsibility?

Dr. Phil: At 1:30 you wake up, he’s still not there?

MR: Right

Dr. Phil: Did something go off in your head then?

MR: Absolutely. This is when I’m calling him on his cell phone. I’m sending him text messages. I’m trying to communicate to him… you know… at some point I start realizing that you know this is not like Dylan.

ER: You’re his father. How could you do this to him?

MR: Elaine, I don’t have… I don’t know where Dylan is. I haven’t had anything to do with this…

ER: I don’t believe you…I know that’s a lie. I know you had something to do with this.

MR: Really…

Yes… Yes… Where’s the last….You were the last one to see him. Okay?

MR: I don’t believe that that’s true.

ER: I don’t care what you believe. I don’t have Dylan. I wish I had Dylan, because if I had Dylan we wouldn’t be on the Dr. Phil show, Okay?

MR: I wish I had Dylan, too, but that’s not…

ER: Did you hurt him?

MR: No, Elaine!! I wouldn’t hurt him… what kind of mother are you to even think that I was capable of doing something like that?

ER: I was your wife for 18 years. I brought you all the way to Dr. Phil to speak with you because you won’t speak with me.

Dr. Phil: What I care about is finding …this… child…

MR: Which is all I care about as well…

Dr. Phil: Did you take a polygraph in this matter. Did the police ask you to take a polygraph?

MR: I did. They did ask me...

Dr. Phil: And what were the results?

MR: Well,… there’s been some conflict as to what the actual reas...errr... (Stumbles on word - may have been starting to say "reason") results are.

Dr. Phil: Well what did they tell you?

MR: Well they told me that I failed it. Then they told me it was inconclusive… and there was some question about the person giving the polygraph as to whether or not they were capable of performing that… polygraph test…

He did say No he didn't hurt him. It just was left out of the quote.

Good point. Before commercial they let it 'simmer' and silence. Then after the commercial played the ' full clip' in which MR says NO I DIDNT.. then says' what kind of mom , ,etc'' Cutting room floor.

I wasn't going to reply, then the quote changed. IMO BOTH parents had to build up courage to go on national tv. According to many opinions DR is out there being held somewhere by someone, so IMO, going on national tv just may help someone see DR and report it to the authorities (that is if you are of the opinion that DR was kidnapped by some random stranger) - you is general not specific.

IMO ER is very much capable of thinking for herself, IMO she has demonstrated numerous times that she is very capable of that.

I should probably clarify - I wasn't talking about ER or CR when I said 'face his oft-irrational' accusers, but rather the mob of outsiders who have it out for him despite the evidence at this time. Naturally, ER's behavior is perfectly reasonable in light of being fed this kind of irrational 'hatred' on a daily basis, and I don't discount her natural suspicions of MR due to their history. And you're correct - it took a lot of courage for her to go on Dr. Phil. My intent wasn't to imply otherwise.

The mail lady said she saw ' dylan' at about 1:30 .
Then when MR is explaining the day when he gets back and is not worried because Dylan may be at his friends... he comes home at 11:30 no Dylan and he takes a nap. Phil calls him on it and he says' the mail lady saw him' ........ but when the mail lady saw him it was way past the time when he came home and Dylan was already missing and according to his nap time, it was even after that . Right? Did I get that time right?

I think the point is...MR didn't know the mail lady saw (thinks she saw) Dylan at that point!
He is deflecting the question. He had no clue what the mail lady saw until later.

ER made her beliefs clear long before 3 months of 'mob' talk in her ear, though. In fact, I would venture to say that ER making her beliefs clear 3 months ago is what has gotten the 'mob' talk going . If by mob you mean people who believe the person who knows MR better than anyone and has based her opinion on her knowledge of MR !

"MR: Well they told me that I failed it. Then they told me it was inconclusive… and there was some question about the person giving the polygraph as to whether or not they were capable of performing that… polygraph test…"

Does anyone know if this could possibly be true?

My first observation, they need to get past this bitterness and find Dylan. At this point guilty not guilty..blame games does not find Dylan.. This should be about Dylan. If MR is guilty his day in court will come and vice versus with ER.. I need facts.. I have no facts to say either is guilty yet. Will watch more

It has been discussed previously that Dylan was extremely tired. He stayed up the night before the flight until 4 a.m. Then, he had the flight and shopped at WalMart. I cetainly understand how he could have been exhausted and fell asleep.

I also do not think there was a fight betewen Dylan and Mark.

JMO

I agree with this Money Girl! I didn't find it strange that he was so tired.

I don't know, but I can bet you Phil will offer up his FBI expert polygraph administrator to clear up any confusion.

Was the mail woman and the girlfriend the same person? Or am I mistaken?

I am also confused if Mark's mail carrier is also his ex-girfriend?? I might be confused. Could someone enlighten me please?

Does LE administer the test ? and if so I honestly can not see them telling Mark that the person who gave the test screwed up and was not up to standard . It sounds ridiculous IMO

You know she's telling the truth when she looks directly in his eyes and says "I know you, I was married to you for a long time." She does know him, I believe that 100%.

Being out of the house does not equal missing, IMO. What if the mail carrier's sighting is true? It would sure complicate things even more and give an entirely different timeframe for Dylan's disappearance. Wow.

How would LE go about dismissing these sightings? The jogger and this one, I mean?

  • #277
This sighting has been around since the beginning of the case. It is valid and has not been dismissed by LE.

From a rational point of view, I think it was Dylan.

Do you have a link, because in the last press release with the Walmart/McDonalds & last communications it state that MR was the last known person that saw Dylan. To me that means any sitings at that point were ruled out.

That giggle made me think he has a friend in LE.

T

Then they must have also said to ER that her ' passing' poly was no good
either, correct?

There is definately a lot of bitterness between MR and ER. I didn't realize how bad until I watched them together today. I feel so bad for ER. I thought she handled MR quite well though. Watching MR I did get the impression he was enjoying the pain ER is in.

Was that Corey on the previews for tomorrow telling his Dad he hates him?
