I am angry as hell! but IMO he made himself look guilty. He wonders why everyone accuses him and blames him, WELL now I understand why!

Seems Dr Phil puts the Ex girlfriend in her place

http://www.drphil.com/.

That he does! I wish it was clearer exactly what he's responding to. I watched that part again and I still don't see it. I think it must've been something that was said but not shown, but they did show the part where he called her on it. Unless I missed it... I'll look again.

ETA: ah ha, I found it. Not sure why I missed it before (twice!). The ex-gf says "How dare you point the fingers at somebody when you have no proof?"

Perfectly written and I couldn't agree more! I do think this man is a sociopath. MOO

When we had the author of Love Fraud on the radio station, she told us a small percentage of sociopaths commit murder. So, if you guys feel MR has sociopathic traits, it still doesn't mean he is reponsible for Dylan's disappearance. I have no idea if he is a sociopath or not because I haven't been here half as often as you guys have been. Here's a list to help those who like to do the armchair psych evaluations.

I have always wondered why they left so abruptly back in November. jmo

I have always wondered why MR went to the Marshall and not the Sheriff when DR went missing. does he know people with the Marshall's office? Is there some cronyism going on? IDK, but I do wonder the way the investigation has been handled.

I tend to believe the examiner or Dr. Phil would have given MR instructions on how the polygraph would be performed. Most likely explaining how drugs and alcohol could influence the test results. I don't believe MR was ignorant to the fact that a pint of alcohol could impact the test results. MR made a conscious decision to drink. In my opinion, most likely knowing he may be able to get out of taking the test or if he failed he could blame the results on the alcohol.

I want to give MR the benefit of the doubt because we're still lacking so much factual evidence. I think it is fair to say MR is under a lot of stress whether innocent or guilty. Alcohol may be a crutch that he cannot control. The taping had to be stressful for everyone involved. Unfortunately, even when MR was sober at the first taping he made some poor decisions. Absolutely mind blowing! In my opinion, MR is fearful of something.

ETA - not that I'm convinced MR was even sober during the first taping.

No offense to anyone who took part, but last week it seemed like this had been a positive experience in some way for the family, and I guess I am just not seeing it. It sounds like everything is more "stuck" than ever.

This show has enabled more people to view the real MR at his finest.

When it came time to stand up and prove he was innocent in Dylan's disappearance, he manipulated everyone with Lies & Excuses.

Mark IMO just said he was guilty as hell ... He knew he had to take a polygraph so why on earth would he drink the night before ?!

And if he is innocent then he is one the worlds biggest failures as a father ( no wonder Cory hates him) as he doing sweet fa to help his son !!

And we are now back to square one . Not enough evidence to move forward in the case . We can have all the suspicions in the world but without proof the case remains in this limbo

All IMHO ,IMO

so he used drinking as an excuse not to take the poly?

*sighs* That sound you just heard is me falling off the fence. I have tried, i hung on long after I wanted to let go, but there is no way I can hold on after that. That was the most disgusting display... far worse than I could have imagined.

I am so sorry for Elaine, CR, and the rest of the family... including AZGrandma and her children. I will pray for you all that Dylan can be found to give you some peace... and that somehow enough information can be found so that justice can be served.

They do look similar, but after having watched today's show no, definitely not the same person. Different names, and they also look a little more different from each other than I thought.

Cheers for clearing that up . At least that clears up one mystery .

I am starting to honestly believe Dylan is deceased as if he was alive then I don't believe Mark who behave like this . If Dylan came home he would of ruined another relationship with another son IMO as no father should ever behave like this when trying to find there child . It's a complete farce !!

:cow:

I'm just not sure what to think right now, Kimster. I'm not saying MR is an alcoholic either, but it just seems so bizarre to me that someone would drink heavily the night before a scheduled polygraph. I can see how hearing CR say he hates him can be difficult to take in, along with DR missing, and everything else. I just don't know...

IMO only an alcoholic would be able to drink 1/2 bottle of alcohol, sleep for less than 3 hours and then HAVE to tell that to the people they are talking to. In otherwords, to appear to be sober when the BAC is most likely up there.

The BBM are excuses to drink. It's one thing to drink when under stress, it's another to drink when under the stress you caused yourself. (you is general)

ETA - Stash, I was jumping off your post, I don't disagree with what you said and hope it didn't sound like that :)

so he used drinking as an excuse not to take the poly?

Yep , lack of sleep and drinking the night before so he did not feel he was fit enough to take it . This is what I can gather from reading on here .

MR swallows really hard and looks like he's about to cry when Dr Phil offers to help him if he flew into a rage and he's dead.

his only grief is shown when a mental health professional offers to HELP him if he killed his son.
That tell me he did kill his son (in the campground, IMO) and that Dr Phil got to him by showing him attention, compassion and the offer of help. It's ALL about him. how his murder of his son is affecting him.
what a total case. psychopath, sociopath, narcissist, etc....

Boo-hoo Cory said he hated Mark ... I fail to see how that is a surprise to Mark!

Just another case of Mark passing the buck again!

It really is never his fault in his world :cow:

I think it was 'positive' in one sense. There is now an actual reason to keep the focus on MR. I think this proves that he is hiding something big. JMO

ETA: IF he had taken it and it was inconclusive, then we would have gotten nowhere.

But he went out the night before and got drunk, then refused to take the poly. That is very revealing, imo.

BBM - it was positive, no answer is an answer.

But without proof this case can not move forward . Mark also had so many hours where he could of done anything IMO ... For all we know he passed Dylan off to somebody and Dylan is 1000's of miles away . It's so messed up and frustrating .
