CO Father of missing baby 25 years ago reaches out to parents of baby Lisa

If it's the neighbour's husband, wasn't he cleared? I thought he passed a poly and was cleared by LE. :waitasec:

Have they "cleared" anyone officially?

Reporter Jim Spellman said a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department confirmed that the neighbor has been cleared of any involvement in the disappearance of baby Lisa. The spokesperson said the department "has moved on from him," according to CNN.

Representatives for the Kansas City Police Department did not immediately respond to requests from KCTV for comment on Thursday.

take that as you will, i know "moved on" has been much debated.

Exactly - don't understand why they didn't ask him that question - instead they just moved on.

Maybe they cut him off because he is crossing the line, and they're concerned about the liability.

Coming out and saying he knows who did it was based on what substantial evidence exactly?

And since when is military training evidence of kidnapping? How many people have taken babies or killed babies/children that had no training at all?
What experience does this named suspect have that leads to him being the one to take Lisa?

As much as I believe that his heart is in the right place, this could very well cross the line.

I'd also like to know where he's getting all this "evidence" to even make such a statement. I doubt it's from LE and I doubt it's from the family. So......is it just an assumption on his part.

Heck, we can come up with a whole bunch of theories on this board without proof of anything.

I doubt he got it from LE too. I thought it could be possible to have come from the family but then remembered him saying that he didn't speak to them for very long. Maybe an extended family member? Maybe a defense attorney? Or maybe he is just gathering up the little bit that he's seen in the media and tried to put two and two together.

We do have lots of theories but we're not going on TV and saying it as fact.

So early but will look- didn't the LE last clarify those above statements saying they can't confirm who is cleared? Ok, coffee then I will look

This notion of "training" in the abduction of a child reminds me of the Elian Gonzalez case when federal agents stormed the Miami home where the little boy was staying. Elian was stealthfully removed from the home so that he could be returned to his family in Cuba. jmo

LE has NOT made a statement "clearing" anyone "officially" ...

And until LE makes a statement doing so, I would think in LE's "eyes" ... "everyone" is still "suspect" ...

Has Mr Abeyta interviewed this person? Heard/Checked their alibi? Reviewed their polygraph? IMO Mr. A is being downright irresponsible by fingering someone on National TV unless he has done the above or unless he is working with LE (which I don't think he is). Also everything he told us in previous interviews make the parents sound suspicious to most, but for some reason not to him. Bizarre in my opinion, but in this case if something were not bizarre it would be really bizarre! KWIM?

I don't think GA would be involved in this case right now if Lisa had been a 4-year-old; it's the similarity to his own case that drew him to it. I also wonder if Gil is acting this way in Lisa's case because he wished he acted that way in his son's case. Maybe he wishes he had done more investigating of his own, or was more bold about who he suspected to put them under pressure, etc. He may feel like he has a chance of a "do-over" and the child won't be missing for decades.

I think he's down there finding things out in a similar way as reporters. Talking to people, court records, yada yada yada. No inside information I'm sure.

I'm just not so "sold" on this guy, if it's the neighbors husband that he suspects.
So far as I can tell, no one can state with any certainty that Baby Lisa was seen alive on Monday except for the parents and the neighbor who says she "looked" in on her and was "apparantly" fine.

BBM: and the 2 boys ...

:waitasec: WHAT did they SEE ? ... WHAT do they know ?

IMO, it has to be "something" ... because the parents do NOT want them interviewed ...

Well if it is the neighbour's husband he is referring to, and he comes to this conclusion based on the info that we already have, then I'd have to say he's been spending too much time with MT, the biker guy.

Why would a "specially trained" army reservist be walking down a street, in plain view of anyone driving by, with a baby in a diaper in the middle of the night after sucessfully kidnapping her without leaving any trace evidence? Did his training suddenly escape him at that point? And was turning on all the lights in the house and stealing the phones part of his training?

I'd like to know who MT's cousin is that lives in town. Why is he implicating a specific person in that night walk? The husband of the other couple had the guy walk towards him and right by him supposedly and he hasn't implicated anyone it seems. :waitasec:
