These are the doctors I have on my notes. There was another one, but now I can't find his name.

8/11/22: People's Notice of endorsement of witnesses (Dr. B. Thomas Gray, Dr. Loandra Torres & Dr. Naoko Hashimoto).

Don't know if any of them are out of state though.
Thanks, @Niner !

I googled Dr. Torres and found an unrelated case that mentions them as being with the State Mental Health Institute in Pueblo Colorado.

Dr. Loandra Torres Miller with the Mental Health Institute in Pueblo found Nez competent to stand trial, while Dr. J W Ragsdale of Durango found him incompetent.

I watched LS’s most recent hearing and the Judge referred to a female psychiatrist when he told the Defense that she can appear via WebEx. But I didn’t hear her name.

@Cindizzi - I looked up Stauch's motions & found this.

Motion for 2nd sanity examination to be conducted at CMHIP in Pueblo (D-47) filed on 9/12/22.

on page 2 from above:

The defense has retained Dr. Dorothy Lewis to perform the 2nd sanity evaluation. Dr. Lewis is a former Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University.

Dr. Lewis does have a "claim to fame" but she's in her 80s.

Here's a blurb from a 2007 Yale newsletter.

A fascination with violence

Thanks for this link. I can see the interest in calling Dr Lewis as a defense witness. She checks all the boxes.

From the link:

In Lewis ’ memoir, Guilty by Reason of Insanity: A Psychiatrist Explores the Minds of Killers, she recalls stories of the Nazi dictator hanging over her childhood as “a source of fascination and fear.” She was the only student in her elementary school “who did not rejoice upon hearing of Hitler’s suicide. Now I could never know what made him tick. … I was convinced, even as a child, that Hitler could not have been born that way. Something had to have happened to him. No one could be born that way. I still believe that.”

[..]

Until 1984, when she recognized her first case of dissociative identity disorder (DID), she questioned the phenomenon ’s very existence. It is still regarded with skepticism by some psychiatrists.

[..]

Get EEG.” Lewis suspected a neurologic problem and consulted Pincus, then also a faculty member at Yale. Pincus found some signs of neurologic problems and ordered an EEG, but it was normal. Nevertheless, Lee Anne’s symptoms were consistent with complex partial seizures. She also was paranoid and sometimes heard voices that told her what to do.

^^BBM

As predicted, Lewis is the perfect match to promote whatever LS feigns.

Of note, the potential impact to the sanity issue:

Since Stauch's arrest, her defense team has questioned whether she was sane when she allegedly murdered her stepson. There have been numerous trial delays, all centered around sanity evaluations and delays with completing those evaluations.

13 Investigates questioned whether the articulate, well-spelled and organized writing in the civil suit will call into question her defense team's insanity argument.

"We have, what appears to be, a very articulate, well-reasoned argument that has been filed in a federal court," Colorado Springs defense attorney Jeremy Loew said. "Everything she is saying are legal terms and making legal arguments."

Loew told 13 Investigates he would never advise his criminal clients to file a civil case in the middle of criminal proceedings. He says it may hurt their insanity argument, even though her words have nothing to do with her pending murder case.

"We have a defendant here that with every step forward that the defense takes, she is taking them two steps back," Loew said.

Lewis was paid for this, and paid well, to attach her name to it.
I hope the amount is disclosed.

Apparently this was a 22 page letter. 22 pages (!) of complaining about the food she's being given. My favorite part was when she was told "if you don't like it, don't come to jail!"

Does the woman have absolutely no capacity for self-reflection? Something along the lines of "golly, if I hadn't murdered a child and taken away ALL of his rights, I wouldn't have to worry about what jail food is like..."

Kosher food for a last meal might be in order.

Who said that? ;)

If I’m counsel for prosecution I am welcoming this. Please, defendant, write every batpoop edge-of-insanity freak out you can, at every great length, so as I can convince jurors that you’re a resistant paranoid schizophrenic. I wonder if I asked her if she could tell me what today is in the Jewish calendar. It’s a significant day! I am thinking no, this “observant” dietary believer has no idea. p.s. Shana Tova!

Sorry -- WS rejected the 22 pg upload as the Court file too large.

When she was home, caring for her daughter and her husband and his 2 kids----did she keep a kosher kitchen?

I highly doubt that she fed her husband and his kids kosher meals, did she?
