I do think Gannon will be found. It may take time and may not be due to a organized search. I pray I'm wrong for his loved one's. May just have to settle for an arrest first.

Apologies to anyone I have offended with my last post. I don't find any humor in GS's disappearance at all, nor did I mean any disrespect to his family. I simply found the comment that I quoted humorous which I admit was inappropriate, but I know the poster didn't mean any disrespect by it either. To the person questioning my reason for posting here, its for the same reason we all are posting here, because I care about this case. I've lost plenty of sleep over it. Hoping for the best, while preparing for the worst. I have four kids myself and I would never even let them play in our front yard without supervision for fear that some evil monster would come and snatch them up. They never let me forget it either! I can't even imagine what GS parents, extended family and friends are going through right now. At any rate, I've been a member for while now - so no, this is not a newly created account meant to defend or crucify anyone. I am simply waiting patiently for LE to conclude their investigation and bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.

This is only my opinion, but I think this will play out in a way much more complicated than any of us think. I am usually an Occam’s razor person BUT this case seems too layered to follow that rule. I think if the SM knew where G was at one time, she’s doesn’t any more. MOO all the way.

So are you thinking she handed him off, or left him somewhere? I'm like a fish out of water in this case. Once I think I've found a theory which works, I learn a new detail that blows it up. Flip-flopping-away ...

I am worried that LE is not going to be able to keep resources dedicated at current levels. If Gannon is not found soon or an arrest made, I think we may be in for a quiet period in the investigation, which is always so sad. I hate that parents and loved ones have to endure the waiting.

There’s really no way of knowing obviously, but I think he’s in that location they searched, some 40 miles from home.

They were there too long, and their search too extensive, for that to have been done on a whim. I believe they searched there because they could put her there on the Monday Gannon disappeared.

I don’t think she left him close to home and then traveled that distance to dump evidence. Time was of the essence, and she had to get home and sell her narrative.

A lot of the area east of I-25 and north of Lorson Ranch is either developed or hilly grassland area. (It is easier to lose things in the grassland areas than one would think. I used to trail ride in that area before development.) However, much of the area between 105 and County Line Road (border of El Paso Country and Douglas County) is ponderosa pine and some of the areas are quite dense. There are ravines and washes, and the sandy soils lead to cut away banks caused by flash flooding.

I have the eeriest feeling that TS would welcome flash flooding.

Well, maybe not so much, as flash tends to wash away soil and that would be antithetical to a purpose.

I so hear you. I have solved this mess many times down to the last detail, then I wake up.

Can't you just say "contrary to" so I don't have to google the meaning of your hundred-dollar words? ;)

so we need to be looking for a site that would have been familiar to her?

I have been wavering between these two scenarios because her time living in the area was short, relatively speaking. I did take into consideration such a short time table.

At first I felt she was probably more comfortable within a close proximity and didn’t have much time. But then when I think about her statements it does put him further away. My first inclination was Denver specifically a particular park.

Search site ended up being exactly between Denver and home so I think that makes sense at this point until we hear further. I appreciate your extensive experience in following these cases. You are a rock when we are in a hard place.

Do we know if the Lorson Ranch address is the only place they’ve lived since they moved to Colorado?

No, because I can't spell contrarie.

I checked public records for each of them, and I can only find the one address.

Neither LE nor MSM have reported on previous addresses.... but some of us suspect there were other addresses in the state, oh, based on some 'guess', perhaps...

Rentals would not show them as a resident.

I think she knows where he is, but if she tells anyone she’s looking at life in prison.

I think this will all make sense to us when charges are filed, and it’s going to end up being even more cruel than we can imagine.

I'm with you fellars - ;)

I would think so. I was actually running local roads through my mind trying to think of likely spots. Most of that area is what is described locally as the Black Forest: unincorporated El Paso County. And although it is mainly ponderosa pine forest, there are a lot of five / ten / twenty / forty-acre properties back there with residences and mini-ranches. The main paved roads are frequently traveled, and the dirt roads are usually private roads with driveways up to the residences. It's the sort of area that looks a lot less populated than it actually is: hence the devastation of the Black Forest Fire of 2013 when some 400 residences were lost. I would hate to try to find a private spot in a hurry unless I had scouted in advance.

South Douglas Country has some forested areas but most of it is open prairie land with spectacular views of the Front Range. Some of it is trails and open space, but that area is not well served by roads. Again, I would hate to have to find a private spot there in a hurry.
