For locals or anyone who has been to GotGs, are there dumpsters near any of the parking lots? If Gannon was concealed in a bag, for example, the bag might be put in a dumpster without attracting attention.

Forgive the blunt talk - I know it's hard to discuss this.

Locals know this:
It’s like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Garden of the Gods, and that’s just on like a Tuesday mid morning. Seriously, throngs of tourists from all over the globe, all heavenly armed with cameras. My kids and I volunteer at the living history ranch adjacent to it. I’m probably hyperbolizing a tad, but a person could more easily have disposed of a body in a mall food court than in a parking lot at Garden of the Gods. Even harder to believe it could remain hidden there for any period of time even if someone managed to do the impossible and stash one there in the first place.

Someone asked if a rental car had been confirmed, but their quote didn’t show up here in my post.

Someone posted a page that claimed it as ‘new evidence’ and linked a news broadcast from KDVR, but when I watched the segment, not a single thing was mentioned about cars that may or may not have been impounded or rented.

So far, I think all we have confirmation of regarding cars is that LS mentioned in her interview that they took her daughter’s car.

If others have been mentioned in MSM, I have missed it.
JMO

Actually I’ve seen it mentioned many times, heard it also. I just thought someone would know for sure. I’m not trying to open thread to a rumor. I cannot keep up with all the posts to know one way or the other. It seems many ideas and scenarios have been discussed. Surely someone would know.

It was asked at an early in presser. LE replied it was all part of the Investigation. Don't make me search for a link to the presser :p I remember it as it caught my attention.

That was me and thank you. I hope there wasn’t one because frankly I don’t know why she would need one or how she would even have the time to pick one up and return it in the known timeline. Whew. threads moving so fast. Thank you for answering me.

I edited my other post to include this link.

ETA - mention of rental car...but not confirmation.:(

Search For Gannon Stauch: Investigators Ask Neighbors To Check Security Video

When asked if Gannon’s stepmother rented a car on the day he was reported missing, Mynatt said, “That’s part of the investigation.”

I have missed many threads here but haven't stopped thinking of Gannon, nor following this case.

You all have been really busy here, and very, very dedicated!;)

After a busy day of running around, a line of thinking that may have already been discussed...(more than likely it has:p) occurred to me, and it was prompted by my kids.

I would like to know if TS has been asked to re-enact all of her actions for that weekend starting with Saturday....with LE actually sitting beside her in the vehicle starting at square 1 (their home.)

Each time she got into a vehicle...where did she go? Who was with her? Where did they each sit in the vehicle? What routes did she take? How long were they at each stop for?

Then see if the camera footage from her different destinations allign with her statements. I guarantee she will have to think really hard about this!

If she has nothing to hide, it should be real easy for her to re-enact each place she travelled to. On the other hand, if she has to stop and figure out if she turned right or left...then maybe there would be clues in directions she tends to avoid travelling in.

People tend to be creatures of habit. They take the same roads to the same places day after day....if I take a different route somewhere, like today I did this and my 10 and 8 year old were all over it...asking me why I am not taking my 'normal' route? They notice stuff like that.

Maybe little L would be a wealth of info if she rode along with just LE afterwards and pointed out TS's usual routes?

Rental car will have mileage and gas level recorded when picked up and returned. Unless she paid for gas in cash, it should be easy to track where she filled up prior to returning the car. GPS info should also be of great value. This may have been a key factor in where and why they have concentrated their recent searchin a specific area.

JMO and thoughts...again coming into this after missing several threads and hoping I am not rehashing and being completely redundant.

I believe that LS has stopped hanging out with LE altogether, at this point. But you are absolutely right that, if she wanted to help find Gannon, she would do just as you suggest. I'm sure LE would be overjoyed.

I clearly don’t understand the rules. Back to lurking.
I really hope you don't do that (retreat to lurking). You've provided so much good info about the search areas of the past week that filled a void of very sparse media coverage. To me, wondering about any previous residence there , particularly if it may be a matter of public record, is no more intrusive or sleuthing than other general discussion we've seen with people asking/offering details about AS's or other family members' places of employment/job descriptions, past education, physical property ie whose cars were whose, what the inside of the residence looked like etc. All of that seems obtained in fair and reasonable means to me, but maybe I'm wrong, too.

GROOOOOOOOOOAAAN.

so for this NEW SEARCH
4wd accessible.
" broad geographical areas,
First- close to home, walking distance for runaway theory 'cos that was the first excuse.
Second- recent search site.
An area familiar to the perp because of the time frame.
I like how you're thinking.

I also think close to home is a good idea as she said things like it was an accident and he'll be home....so a place where she could claim he hid there, got stuck there, hurt himself there, got lost and turned around there. ??

yes, EXACTLY that kind of place.

I read something outside of WS and was wondering if any locals here have heard of higgenson pit and if they knew if that was an area that was searched? Read it was about a mile from other area searched? Curious and want to ensure it was looked into ?

I had not previously heard of Higgenson Pit. I looked it up on Google Maps and it's not far (five miles?) from where the Friday photo was probably taken (IMO). However, that would add another ten or fifteen minutes or so to get there from Lorson Ranch, I think.

You've made a lot of good points. If my neighbor's child had disappeared under mysterious circumstances and I had children at home, I'd sure want to know if there was a predator roaming around snatching up children in broad daylight first and foremost, but I'd also want to help my neighbors and my child's friend.

BBM

Does anyone have a link to when RD said his child or children were friends with GS? All I remember from MSM reporting was RD said he'd seen GS playing before and thought he looked like a nice kid (or something to that effect.) I don't know that even we know if RD has kids, much less kids near GS's age. I'm not saying we need to know details about RD's kids but we shouldn't be adding hypothetical kids to the story.

I did send a request to LE to search this area based on a tip and hope they followed thru no matter how small the chance may be. It seemed credible and at the least worth a look! Have not heard back?

If my child was missing I would be on the phone with or visiting LE every day, in between my own searches. I would not be defending myself, especially on camera or via emails to the media, and frankly wouldn’t care what anyone said or thought about me.

lets assume for our NEW SEARCH that Gannon is close to somewhere only accessible by 4wd.
We know she used it.
Another look, fresh eyes, won't do any harm.

Wait—- We know she used 4wd?! How? That’s the first I’ve heard that. Source?

Do you possibly mean instead that we know she used a truck that had 4wd? All our family’s vehicles have 4wd, but we would not be said to be “using 4wd” each time we drive them. The feature is rarely “used,” and only in certain circumstances where the driver intentionally employs the feature by either locking in the hubs and shifting a certain lever (older models) or pushing a 4wd button/switch to engage.

Totally agree. No way anyone would think you could get in and out of that park without being seen by lots of people. Too risky.

And seriously, why would she take him to the place where they’d just been.

I think that might be mistake #1 by TS .. no kid would ever type that. That’s an adult thing to think . That would very likely be an adult thought from us armchair sleuths;)

A young adult might ...
