Your cell phone (if you carry one) follows your every move....

But it doesn't know when I'm at a sub shop eating an italian beef with extra hot peppers causing me to sweat and have an increased heart rate, leading to indigestion and heartburn for the next 6 hours triggering it to notify me "are you at that same sub shop again? maybe you would prefer a salad today?" All my cell phone does is tell my wife I'm eating a sandwich, will be home soon.

The duck face is cringe worthy. I give youngsters a pass but an adult? NO. I don't think many use it these days. She clearly missed the memo.
Yes it is, how old is she anyway? I'll say this though, my 40 year old DIL does the same thing. She gets a pass though because I love her ;)

LOL Yes luv trumps the duck face

LE doesn't have to name her publicly. I do like that she feels she is a POI. That's good enough for me.
Yes, I know but it's just strange how in some cases they come right out and say it without hesitating. Other times they barely say anything about the case at all, other than "it's part of the investigation." Jmo

Indeed they can. They don't need the device to access it's synced data in the cloud.

I'm glad they can do that, but I find it kinda scary! Double edged sword.

  • #847
I understand LE not naming a POI but I don't understand why they did not report his last sighting was in the red vehicle, if that is the case.
That is vital information for SAR. For local police who have access to traffic cams for apb's...

We don't know what information they've been disseminating amongst local LE and SAR, but it's almost certainly much more than we know.

Has anyone else noted in the few pics of "her" she is the one "featured" everyone else is just an accessory.

“The pose is most often seen as an attempt to appear alluring, but also as a self-deprecating, ironic gesture making fun of the pose. It may be associated with sympathy, attractiveness, friendliness or stupidity. A 2015 study found that people posting duck face pictures are more likely to be associated with neuroticism.

Wikipedia nailed it with this definition of someone. ;)

It looks like a water hydration tube maybe, from one of those backpacks.

Edit: Apparently I lost the quote. I was referring to the last known picture of Gannon and what is in his hand.

Hey websleuths! First post. Super impressed with your board. Heard about it before but only saw mentioned on Reddit recently that you are only allowed to discuss verified fact sources and that is so interesting to me. I've been following these threads for a bit and decided to finally join. Completely captivated by this case.

Do we think TS has voluntarily given LE access to her icloud and devices? Does Al have the power to do that as someone that's probably on all the accounts? Can LE get warrants for things like this even if there's not a suspect? Biggest questions I have right now after the new crime online interview.

Where is the duck face picture? I don't think I've seen it and I don't even know what it is. I've been wondering about it all this time.

I think that LE has the situation covered, and have kept all options open, rather that develop tunnel vision...but I am reminded of the moral behind the boy who cried wolf story...when he finally DID see the wolf, no one believed him, and the wolf ate him...sooooo in order to keep my mind occupied...wouldn’t it be poetic justice if our wicked SM actually was telling truth, this one time?! and Gannon did run away? And then an accident or circumstance really did prevent him from returning home? We have enough circumstantial evidence from LS to probably convict her, chances are good, determining cod could prove difficult now...soooo, she could just be covering up w/ her lies, the fact that she IS a horrible mother, and someone an 11 yr old would be desperate enough to run away from.I also questioned the length of time AS was to be gone? I can certainly see Gannon hiding out, if his dad was coming home soon...if I were in Colorado Springs, I would look closer to home, in areas that Gannon might be familiar w/ ie around, his school, where dad works, or SM shops, not the Castle Rock wgc, but areas Gannon is more familiar w/...5 miles or less, honestly, I don’t think LS is capable of keeping a secret for this long, if she really knew where he is, she would have slipped up....seriously, they HAVE all kinds of evidence, no body?!...IMO MOO, and so on, don’t jump on me, plz, just let me blissfully hope... she could go to prison for her habitual lying/coverup behavior, especially w/ no body, If his body is found now, it may be harder to prove she did it, after 30 days? In this case, no body may actually be a easier case to prove... IMO JMO, etc

IMO if I had viewed my surveillance and saw something worth reporting such as RD did, I'd have given it to police only. Unless instructed otherwise by them of course. When local news tried to talk to me about a murder in my area, I told them if I had anything useful to say, I'd tell the detectives not them.

It’s not just the photos, but the way she lives her life. Everything is about her, including a situation where a child is missing, and his life is on the line.

I would think so. But they don't even need the actual watch to check the data, do they?

I don't know! As a reader of 1984, the thought of it on my arm makes me crazy. BUT....I'm glad it's on HER arm! LOL!

I'm aware.
It is also vital information for the general public. LE depend upon joepublic for information about sightings in unusual places etc..
There is a much wider interest in finding this child .

I have never followed a case with even a fraction of the intensity I’ve followed this one. I lived in San Diego when Danielle Van Dam was kidnapped, and David Westerfield was tried. I didn’t follow it too closely, just the little bits on the radio while I was driving around. But so little was revealed prior to his arrest and trial that I was shocked they even knew to look at him let alone get a conviction. I never even thought until now that there must’ve been so much more that was revealed in the trial.

I remember her case, but I didn't follow it at the time.
I grew up in Ted Bundy and Gary Ridgeway's back yard in the PNW. Almost literally.
I was a little kid reading true crime stories in the original True Detective magazine when Bundy was doing his thing, and I was a teenager, hearing the stories about the police finding more "body dumps" and attributing it to the "Green River Killer". For a time there was an older model pick up truck that was known to follow teenage girls in town, and my peers and I (morbidly) joked it was the Green River Killer.
We had no idea he even had a truck.
So for me, following true crime and the trials, is sort of in my bloodstream, I think.
The one thing I do know is, for all the stuff we think we know when following a case, there's always WAY more stuff we don't know.
