Weather is very nice and clear today and tomorrow both. Snow looks like it is coming in Sunday evening into Monday. Take all that for what it is because our forecast here likes to keep us on our toes and change. Often. But today has been great and tomorrow looks like more of the same!

Definitely great opportunity for snow melt. 60 degrees and sunny here today. I believe more of the same over the weekend.

I do believe that snow melt will be invaluable in the search for Gannon and I wonder if this is not part of the reason for them postponing the next search until tomorrow...

He is the youngest- oldest was and he is quite the &^%$!. The ones in the middle were a breeze comparatively. I can feel the gray pouring out of my head and years coming off my life expectancy.

I am trying not to get my hopes up that they will find Gannon this weekend- but I really hope they do! I'm kind of jumping around as I am too far behind to read everything from today...Welcome to our new Members!

Well, I would imagine women have been making pouty face poses for pictures for quite awhile. I don't know when the term duck face was coined.

I first saw those graphics with the ears, whiskers, etc, when my daughter was about ten years old so at least five years. I'm not even sure if it's still popular. Jmo

P.S. Almost every policeman I've interviewed says that calling the police would not be their first response in many situations. And that they avoid police contact in many situations.

They will find Gannon. And the police know how people are - that they were very lucky to have one citizen (RD) come forward with incredibly valuable information. But I don't think RD did that completely on his own, I think he talked to AS first.

I think the police are right and I think most parents feel the same. I have yet to have a child threaten to or run away. Well unless you want to count my son who at 4 said he was leaving, walked out the door and up to the end of my court where he stopped at the stop signs with arms folded looking back at me with a pout. If my kids were to be home at a certain time and they missed that then my first thought is they r breaking the rules and either accidentally or intentionally missed curfew. Call to police wouldn’t come till much later and after every attempt to locate them. Of course i’d Also know exactly where they are and who they are with at 11. Moo

RD has not said or posted anything new on SM or MSM to endanger the investigation.

The very little that was posted cannot be discussed here in open forum.

Speculation regarding RD isn’t helping anything. He has carried himself quite well.

I am forever grateful to Nichole Atkinson, Shanaan’s bff, for everything she said and did in a very public way, even with the ongoing investigation and the time, and feel it brought the hammer down on CW very swiftly. Same goes for her neighbor who released the footage from his security cam and mentioned his thoughts on what was seen and how CW acted.

Without RD, who knows how much LS could have potentially gotten away with, whereas now she’s firmly nailed to the wall.

In my opinion, he has shown incredible restraint. I believe there is MUCH more he could’ve said and done and shown, and he has not done so.

Two different things. One is a filter (much loved by 4-5 year olds, their older siblings, their parents and their grandparents). The other is a pose intended to make the lips look puffier, because that's supposedly the current thing to do (thin-lipped people either embrace the pose or they don't - but if they do embrace it, they often over-do it).

Duck-face (which can be used at any time without a camera) is a variant of "kissy face" but to an extreme that many people find silly or parody. I think some would say this is "good duckface":

If you look at the first poster for Gannon (with the GoG selfie in it), you'll see that TS, like many other Instagram people, are exaggerating it (or don't know how to do it properly). Here are examples of duckfaces that people make fun of:

Anyway, it's considered "over" by anyone aged about 25 and younger, and it was not popular among teens when TS was a teenager - so she's adopting a "lewk" that is associated with (much) younger, more immature people.

Pro-tip: If you like to make a duckface, don't link it to your real name on the internet if you are also looking for professional employment (or for people to take you seriously...or think that you are normal...especially if over 30).
