I understand what you are saying. But there's not much that can be done about that IMO. While the sheriff's office has been told to use force if necessary to get her TO court, the court sanctioning the use of physical force IN the courtroom in the presence of the jury just can't happen.

I expect she'll decide to attend the way the judge has set it up though. She's not going to be allowed to just hang back at the jail. And even if she refuses to attend and is put in the holding cell at the courthouse, the order says she'll be brought to court multiple times (outside the presence of the jury I'm sure) to see if she's changed her mind about attending. So she'll not just be left alone.

Makes me wonder if that's the reason she is wearing jail attire. She plans to occupy the holding cell rather than be present at her trial. Agreed. She is in no way allowed to remain at the jail during trial. imo

Finally here.

While I'm so ready to officially put this monster away, I am not looking forward to more of the details that will inevitably come out during the duration of the trail. :(

BUT.... the jury has NOT been seated - there are a potential 120 jurors to go thru this morning.
edited to add - as far as I know the Judge said evidence will be presented on Tuesday, - maybe opening statements late in the day - but who knows.

@arielilane - will you be posting tweets?

Agreed. I think he's done with the delays and is eager to get going with this trial.

As is normal in Colorado courts, media coverage of the events will be limited. Judge Gregory Werner is allowed one member of the print media and one from electronic media in the courtroom for jury selection. As of right now, no cameras will be allowed in the courtroom to cover the actual trial process. However, anyone can watch using the virtual courtroom option from the El Paso County court system.

Get that man a lozenge, we've got a long trial ahead of us.

Also, see how well I did at sleeping? It's just about 1am, here.
