I do agree wholeheartedly that Leticia does not want to pay for what she's done. She absolutely does not want to face the music. Doing what she's doing is so unfair to Gannon and to Gannon's mother and rest of his family members who are going to sit every day in that courtroom seeking justice for Gannon. This is unacceptable behavior from Leticia and it honestly makes me sick!

I wonder if she's only there right now because she knows there's no video broadcast?
Or, would she even know that?
Or, is she planning some twisted show?

Ugh, I'm dreading this case but also glad justice for Gannon is coming.
And of course opening statements are set to begin the literal moment I have an appointment this afternoon.

More than three years since Gannon Stauch's body was found in northern Florida, his alleged killer and stepmom Letecia Stauch's trial is nearly ready to begin opening statements in a Colorado Springs court.

Attn: @Niner !

I know we’ve been wondering about the escape charge.

[…]

In addition to the murder trial, Stauch faces a second case in which she is accused of attempting to escape from the El Paso County jail in May 2020. The second case against Stauch is on hold until the completion of the first-degree murder trial.

That's actually disgusting. Landon has to sit and face everything Letecia did, the absolute minimum that should be required of Letecia is that she should too.

Or she could always just plead guilty if she doesn't want to go through this.

I've never been able to get the app working myself. All I ever I ever get is I see the name, "Werner, Gregory (host)," but get no sound with it.

I have usually been able to find it on YouTube though. It's only audio still because it's jury selection.

That was the same issue I was having trying to use the app on my iphone. I was able to log in, see the names of the participants, etc. and the judge's mic was even green. But I could not hear a thing. Thank you for your response!

I just tried to connect headphones because my kids are too loud, and there were 3 options, phone, speaker and Bluetooth. I'm on android though, I wonder if you have the same and it's not set to phone?

I get a small satisfaction from the fact that she's in so much discomfort (Tee is). I like that she is not stoic and is feeling shame. She'd love to squirm out of all of this.

She is going to pay. She's gotten herself used to being incarcerated, but the courtroom experience is part of her punishment, IMO. Of course, if she acts out enough in court, they'll remove her to that holding cell.

The only reason LS thinks of herself as crazy is that she is going out of her mind because she got caught. She was not legally insane when she committed the murder, IMO, or the cover-up(s). Since she was caught, she has assaulted police officers, attempted to organize an escape (in the most inept way possible) and so on.

She does not like her current situation at all. IMO. This is part of Justice and while it seems weak, it is happening to Tee Stauch and there's nothing she can do about it.

IMO.

Thank you for posting this @Megnut. So very sad and senseless murder of Gannon. My heart breaks for Gannon's mom, dad and family. <3

This process is done by attorneys passing a sheet back and forth, picking a potential jury member to remove each time they get the sheet of paper. This will be done until there are only 18 people left, and those 18 people will be the jury for trial.

I'm going to respectfully suggest that she is feeling no shame. She's probably more concerned that she can't apply filters to her appearance in court like she could on Social Media. Or maybe nobody will pony up for some new Lilly dresses for her.

The judge was so quiet for so long I forgot I had the app open and then suddenly he yelled at me, lol. I actually did jump.

I switched to webex as well. I've never used it before so I'm not sure I'm doing it right. The screen shows the two panelists (Werner and Sproul) and myself as an attendee. I can hear Werner's comments and statements but I cannot hear the answers or comments the potential jurors are saying.
Sound right. Take note it's normal for the audio to cut out when attorneys move around in the courtroom and also no or limited audio in the back rows of potential jurors. But the judge has a good microphone!
