She says "Laina was terrified."

That part I believe.

Gannon had "bubbly spots" on both sides of his arms.

I have a feeling those might have been blisters from her burning him.
I agree. I've had severe sunburns that have resulted in blisters. Extremely painful... Poor Gannon... I truly believe he was tortured for at least a day before ultimately being murdered.

I feel as though she burned him badly and that was the start of everything.

Did she hold his arms over the candle flame?

This candle fire story sounds like a total farce. jmo

"He was scared" I believe that too.

Everything she says on that call is so discombobulated.

He knocks over the candle. It was on a little white stand near the couch. Burn marks on her elbows where she jumped on the fire. Had she not gotten downstairs... Al says, if his arm was bubbling that's not an emergency? yada, yada, yada He was more scared than anything. (Yeah, because T laid that big guilt trip on him about selling the couch.)

Not suspicious at all that this just comes up like this. Wow!

She says Gannon complained his stomach was getting worse that night and he wanted permission to stay home from school the next day.

And now she is claiming to have saved Gannon's life and that it is a good thing she got to him on time.
Too much.

I rewound several times, still can't figure out the "jumping on it" and Gannon burning his arm.
I think she's conflating events but there was so much smoke in the basement, she couldn't breathe, needed a ventilator, went downstairs to save Gannon (seriously?), he was in bed (?) with fire on his arms so she pounced on him with some sort of fire blanket... then Gannon himself walked out through the smoke, with his covers.

She's the hero in the story she is making up.

Al asked her why she didn’t consider bubbling blisters an emergency. We know why - she couldn’t risk taking him to an ER and have them question him. Her premeditation to end his life was setting into motion.

"I'm not that type of person."

Yes, you are.

Well, except for the person part.

Demon.

I wonder what the date/time of this phone call was where she claims he said they didn't hurt, comparable to the date/time of the video she posted on her FB where Gannon was weeping and said he was worried about the burns.
