I thought about that, too. Maybe she's trying to look insane as she slumps and hides behind her hair and sticks her fingers in her ears.
Totally.

If they intend to convince the jury that she was insane during the time she murdered Gannon, they'll also have to prove that you can flip the insane/sane button on and off like a switch, considering...

Everything she did up to the moment she murdered him (much of it based on her own words in those phone calls with Al), plus all her digital data that will be introduced, then the monumental "overkill" of the murder, and then immediately (not hours or days, but literally immediately after), cleaned up and prepared a lie/cover story for where he was. And then, to have the store change repeatedly?

If I'm on the jury, there's no way I'm buying she accidentally went insane, killed a defenseless child, then snapped out of it and covered it all up best she could. Not a chance. She knew exactly what she was doing, the entire time.
I think they're going to try and say she genuinely believes all her lies are truth when she says them. The assaults, the pregnancies, the break-ins, the Gannon being out to get her, the rapes, the abductions... all of it. That she's out of touch with reality and that Gannon's death was sadly inevitable because AS dismissed her as a fantasist and liar rather than a well meaning and goodhearted stepmother who was, though no fault of her own, seriously mentally ill and psychotic. They're going to pressure him as to why he didn't get such a clearly sick woman the 'help' she needed, and why did he leave his vulnerable children with her. They're going to blame him and try to paint her as a victim. It's going to be ugly.

I'm confused, lol. The Escambia Bridge is on highway 90, according to the map.
Lol -- that's US Route 90, not Interstate 90 (I-90)!

ETA:

Interstate 90 - Simple English Wikipedia, the free ...

https://simple.wikipedia.org › wiki › Interstate_90

The road goes from Interstate 5 in Seattle, Washington to Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. It is the longest Interstate in the country.

ALT 90 also known as I-10 and I-90 in various MSM articles about Gannon being found. Now I know why I was confused. Leave to the media to get all the facts spot on, lol.

It's US Route 90 (US90), not Interstate 90 (I90) as reported by ABC7.

And I submitted a correction (see bottom of news link)! ;)

DAILY TRIAL UPDATES

DAY 2 – 4/4/23

  • Al Stauch, Gannon’s father took the stand. During his testimony the state played a two-hour phone call he had with Letecia. Towards the end of the call, Al asks Letecia point blank if she killed Gannon. She says no, is shocked and offended at the suggestion.
  • Al appeared emotional when he was asked about the last time he saw Gannon. He said at the time, he remembered telling Gannon that Gannon would always be in his heart, and that Gannon’s response was to ignore him in order to continue playing his Pokémon game.

Wow, that REALLY makes Gannon sound like a jerk in that moment... what he actually said was I love you back, and then that he was going to [edit: watch] Pokemon. There was no ignoring.

Yes. The call is approximately 3 weeks after GS was reported missing. Long enough for AS and LH to know that GS is not alive and/or not ever being reunited with his family.
Glad to learn AS began to assist LE early on in the investigation. Sounds like there was a huge amount of drama and chaos in their marriage.

I'm not sure LS didn't spill the candle herself.
I have always believed she intentionally burned him using either the candle flame or tipping the hot wax onto him

“Did you kill Gannon?” Al Stauch asked defendant Letecia Stauch, 39.

“I can’t believe you asked me this!” Letecia Stauch said.

She asks why he thinks she killed Gannon. AS: "You changed your story again...for the fourth time."
