I think the Defense attorney is having a hard time partially because LS probably lied to him and he's following her timeline. He keeps making huge mistakes.

Yes, yes and most likely yes, which explains why he's a criminal defense attorney.

Judging from his body language during direct, he is discouraged and has no way of getting from this witness anything useful to his client.

The only way to convince anyone that LS is insane is 1) neutral testimony by an assessing psychiatrist - which isn't going to happen) 2) put LS on the stand so she can show how crazy she is, which will likely fail as she will do her best to look like she's a genius with an Ed.D. or 3) A really convincing explanation from Dr. Lewis about this rare disorder DID and whether Lewis knows LS well enough to make such a diagnosis (having never met LS, is my understanding - or only briefly). I'm sure the question of whether Lewis ever reviewed the phone calls will come up (I bet she didn't). Also, prosecution will have its own (much better) expert. IMO.

I'm pretty sure his strategy is the same as the Defense's rambling open statement. Put everyone to sleep so he can later try to convince them he gave them concrete evidence LS was insane and hope they accept that they slept through it.

He's none too good.

Now, he can't find his backup evidence.

That's not the DA -- it's the defense doing cross-examination now.

IMO, trying to get AS to confirm he suspected LH or her spouse is simply to impeach or dirty AS's credibility with the jurors.

LS has already admitted she performed the act of murder by her NGRI defense but insanity prevents her from being deemed guilty. MOO

Landen was in court yesterday but walked out at one point. I'm not sure if she's in court today, I can't really tell who the blonde woman is sitting next to Al and the other bald dude.

I'm not sure there was more than audio. We didn't see it here because the source(s) were not WS approved. I recall LS would upload media to her FB and soon after delete where some were quick to capture and save. Since the defendant was not then a named suspect/poi, her SM was not allowed here per TOS.
