For future reference courts are not in session on U.S. federal holidays.

For this trial, Judge Werner also named a date in May that court will not be in session. Unfortunately, I failed to log that date in my calendar. However, I'm confident someone else has that date and will post.

Additionally, Memorial Day (May 29) is next federal holiday. If trial goes longer than anticipated than there is no court on that day.

I've been waiting all morning for court to start and just now I remembered there is no court on Thursdays. I am an idiot.

Do we know if there was life insurance on Gannon? Just wondered if it was one more motive.

Regarding the Board and Blunt force trauma..
Where is everyone thinking that occurred?
I'm wondering if she pulled over and hit him during that Petco run.

Just rest and breathe. That's what I've been doing. :)

Got a question: For the Feb 14, 2020 phone calls, does anyone recall where AS was residing and where LS was residing? TIA.

There was a LOT of talk of the reward money on those phone calls. Almost as much as there was of immunity. I think she had a halfbaked idea of getting immunity, pointing the finger at a sex offender... but only after getting the reward money somehow by deception. We know she likes money, almost as much as she likes herself. It would have seemed perfect to her. Act out her hatred on Gannon, her revenge on AS, no consequences because of her immunity, and get paid.

@Niner, thank you so much. I didn't think to check your records. Having one of those days... ;)

As far as I can tell, from that wording, the vinegar bottle was in the trash.

We don't know where the Switch was found. The item between the vinegar bottle and the Switch was buccal swabs, misspelt 'buckle', and they would definitely not have been found in the trash, they would have been taken from the family members.

Yep, fellow grammar/spelling nerd coming here to say both of these things. It's not as clearly written as it should be, but it sounds like it's listed out as "vinegar bottle in the trash" with the prepositional phrase "in the trash" only applying to the vinegar bottle, and then several other items, including (misspelled) buccal swabs, as part of the overall list of items identified but NOT items in the trash.

That is speculation. Weapon was never recovered. A particle board would not be heavy enough to crack anybody's skull.

Obviously, AS is not on trial here and is a victim of LS but I vaguely recall the itinerary of AS's flight to OKC departing being much later the day after his mother's flight.

IMO, it was probably a tense week at the house when mom/mother-in-law was visiting, and AS probably wanted to spend some time alone with his mother and rode with her to the airport via her transport, and not necessarily that AS drove his mother to the airport and stayed over until his flight time.

In other words, I think there was tension in the relationship when AS departed on his trip and AS was glad to get away a day early. And LS murdering his son hours later was the furthest from his mind.

What an extremely painful memory for the grandmother too. MOO
AS is not on trial in the sense that LS is. But in other ways every witness is on trial in that the jury must try to discern 1) if they are telling the truth. 2) If "their truth" reflects reality. The jury can choose to believe particular witnesses or not. They can choose to believe only part of what any witness says.

I thought AS testified that his flight left the day after his mom's. That he slept on his pack at the airport that night? I really didn't get the impression his flight could have been later than the next day after his mother's flight. She left on the night of Sat Jan 25. GS disappeared on Jan 27, so how much later than Jan 26 could AS have left? That's not to discount the possibility of tension. AS testified there was tension. But I don't think he could have spent more than that one night at the airport.

I don't believe we know the thickness of the particle board. According to this link, particle board can be anywhere from 3/8 inches to 1-1/18 inches thick.

I need to ask a question that has bothered me for a while. Is there proof that Gannon arrived back home and ever got out of that truck that day?? I know the affidavit says he did. I know that the affidavit was written before they found Gannon’s body. I don't know if it says in the final affidavit? Anybody know?

I'd love to know exactly what she did at that Petco, and didn't she go there 2 times?

Too bad this isn’t a clear picture of the board.
IMO it has G’s blood on it because either
A). It was on the garage floor when she took the suitcase from the house to her vehicle that was backed into the garage. OR
B) She laid it in the back of her vehicle before putting the suitcase in it to keep blood from getting on the carpet.
