Were biological Mother and/ or Father worried at any stage before?

Did the fatal attack occur out of the blue?

It’s very telling that THIS testimony is what upsets her. Not all the graphic heartbreaking details.

She must feel hugely betrayed by Spencer - she used him to try and make herself look good and it backfired on her.

Thing is, if H tells the truth, as she is supposed to, then it's not really a for or against her mum. She can only testify to what she witnessed and how Letitia behaved around that time.

She may know alot more than we can imagine.

Tammy Moorer’s cousin said he was at the Moorers’ house for a cookout after Heather Elvis went missing and saw a photo of Elvis on a phone.

It did not appear Elvis could walk or talk in the photo, Donald Demarino told the jury. It was the nail in the coffin.

With that in mind we don't know all HH knows about.

This is so brazen! Knowing that HH did not cooperate with LE and never talked to investigators, LS thinks she's going to try to fish info from LE by impersonating her 17-year-old daughter! So poor HH (per her mother) went from being an HS senior to a member of the Air Force, and now she's a flight attendant.

Random thoughts:

My glass of wine and I walked around the back garden, listening to the birds.
Sort of like a brain cleanse after the ugliness and brutality of today's section of the trial.

I wonder if HH will testify soon.
I wonder if it's under duress or she does right by Gannon and those who loved him?
Imagine testifying against your mom, in this kind of trial, at 20 years old.

@Seattle1 I too ended the day with a glass of wine. While thinking about Gannon I've been deeply thinking about Madeline Kingsbury.

I walked around in the late afternoon outside feeling the sunshine and staring at our mounds of 12 foot high snow drifts that's covering Minnesota.... Wondering where is Madeline....wondering if HH is going to testify against her mother.

I think today's trial ended on a good note. Spencer's testimony was a high five. Then to top it off LS wouldn't stand for the jury. Spencer sunk her and she knew it.

Well, I'm going to have another glass of wine and sleep well tonight...

From what we’ve seen of the investigation and how quickly they started surveillance and seized the phones, and how inept LS is — maybe there are some interesting ( damning) text messages and recordings between mother and daughter.

Defense went after HH hard today. First they hammered the bit about her having unfettered access to the crime scene. Then all that baloney about the undercover operation to retrieve HH’s phone and car, not anything of T’s. Duh. They’d already taken T’s car and phone. That got a massive eye roll.

Also, I swear defense doesn’t listen to testimony. Twice now I’ve heard them ask a question that was already answered. And then that whole bit today about “why didn’t you take them down when you first saw them instead of follow them all around town?” um, two detectives have said it was a covert operation and the warrants were signed WHILE they were following T and HH. He’s not even phoning it in. He just sucks.

Uh, this was 3 weeks before G was found- no one knew a firearm was involved at that time.

I dunno --we know they seized LS and HH's phones fairly early so I find it odd that we were not privy to the historical phone records of AS, LS, and HH other than LS's Google searches and a few text messages LS sent to HH (i.e., pick up plastic bags and carpet powder and pull your car in the garage when LS left to collect AS on Tuesday morning). To my knowledge-- no electronic communication between HH and LS was entered into evidence.

I think the most the prosecution can hope to add from putting HH on the stand is that LS was sane on the drive to Florida and nothing odd occurred during the drive. It seems LS/HH made good time on the road and covered many miles in a matter of days. JMO

You are right we don't really know what HH knows. I expect not much for sure and I'm not at all convinced she came close to being charged herself. (Even if she did know or suspect things, that's not a crime unless she did stuff like outright lie to LE. It wasn't illegal not to inform on her mom.) But I'm not sure she knew much. I think that because she's been LS's daughter all of her life and has always lived with LS so far as I know (without snooping more than we are supposed to per WS rules. Isn't HH a potential victim? Looks like one to me.) I expect growing up HH learned it was often better to remain oblivious and not know too much about what was going on.

Gah! Or at least pull it back into a nice bun or something. Her clothes haven't been super flattering, either. Usually don't they try to get defendants to dress a little more professionally? I know she probably doesn't have access to Lilly anymore, but nobody can get her a collared shirt?

Re: the clothing, that may be all she has to work with. There was a conversation in the last thread about the fact that often, it's an unofficial part of a public defender's job to scavenge appropriate clothing for court for their clients who don't have resources. They sometimes have a donated pool of clothing in their offices, or even at times pull from their own wardrobes.
