Explaining that she gave him the code, Gannon was lying on the couch and she was crying so hard, and she hit her head so hard. I really don't know... she said.

She said she blacked out. She was out of it for a little bit, and woke up and freaked, couldn't found Gannon, thought he was hiding. Ran up the stairs. She ran back down the stairs, didn't want to scream and run outside. Didn't want to leave and run to the park. Freaking out! Goes upstairs. Thought someone heard something. Need to be as cool as possibly. It was minor Laina.

I sent minor Laina on a mission. I didn't know what to do, I went back downstairs. Why are you doing these things. I don't remember, and then he was on top of me again.

She meaning Letecia.

Note: I'm going to stop because this makes no sense. All in my moo.

Side bar

IMO T didn't respond to social media death threats because she was busy typing them.

Borrowing her mother’s login, and not copping to it…

She keeps adding details that are completely unnecessary. Such the classic hallmark of a liar.

T takes the longest route between two points. This pious self justification is unbelievable.

Jmo

I totally agree. It's verbal and it's cognitive (and it also apparently is just how she does everything). Convoluted Cognition. I don't think I've ever read about this symptom, specifically. I know only one person who is even remotely like this (and that person does have a formally diagnosed personality disorder, but I'm not sure that this symptom is part of it).

Frankly, this kind of extended detail (obviously mostly made up) is usually considered just a basic sign of lying. She is going out of her way to attempt to "pass" this investigation, as if it's an oral exam or something.

I wonder how AS feels hearing her mention that she thought he was going to kill her (she says it multiple times). It's almost like she thinks this will gain her sympathy or even justify what she did.

The rape story is incredibly unbelievable.

SMH.

IMO.

Talking about driving to the construction area 'new builds' to look for someone to fix it. Approached some 'hispanic' people to ask if she could get some of the carpet the same as in her home. She gave him the address and security code to bring round a roll of carpet and fix the carpet.

"You gave him your alarm code?" Detective sounds slightly incredulous.

Went to petco for dog coats. Gannon wanted to lie down because his stomach was hurting. Claims she took the wrong exit and got lost, turned back. Got Starbucks. Speech is so fast and difficult to keep up, folks.

Went back to petco for more dog coats. Can't remember timeline, detective prompts her, asks if she has life 360, LS says yes. LS talks about being overprotective of HH because HH's father was killed and 'it was always just her and me.'

Signal problems. LS doesn't fall for a gentle ruse to get her password.

Right? She is more than happy to give a strange random carpet worker the code to get in their house but she is worried about her phone password getting in the wrong hands

Those detectives must be biting their cheeks half off holding in the "PUHLEEESE"

In the interview, Stauch is now telling detectives the story about a construction worker who had entered her home, assaulted her and took Gannon, a story several people have testified they were told by Stauch in the days following Gannon's disappearance.

Obligingly goes back down and is again assaulted. Blacks out again.

Spends the whole time thinking about how she was worthless now she was raped.

Gave him a suitcase. Hit her, she blacked out again.

"I did lie. Gannon never left."

" I made up the lie because I didn't want to face the consequences."

"I know he'd say you're trying to make it all about you, and it's not about you."

Tears are absolutely gone. She sounds eager.

I notice in Letecia's tone she is able to compose herself when she needs to. moo

I lied because I didn’t want to face the consequences. ( pretend sobbing)

Sorry if it delayed finding Gannon ( normal blasé yada yada voice )

Here we go, tissue box had to be moved to the other side of the room closer to her. A lot of I's, I hit my head, I kinda blacked out, I don't know if or where Gannon was trying to get on him, it was like a cyclone for me, when I woke up, I immediately freaked out, I didn't know where Gannon was, I thought he was hiding, heard someone could be at the door, could be an Amazon delivery guy, it was Laina, I sent her on a mission...

Letecia finally says, "I did lie". (but now she's telling the truth... NOT) The guy who raped her actually brought the roll of carpet!

I have a family member who is a pathological liar. Meaning, she lies constantly about even the dumbest things that there wasn't any reason to lie about. Super dumb things like, if she drank water she'll lie and say she drank milk. It's maddening even speaking to her because she just lies, non-stop in every conversation no matter what the subject is.

Listening to LS speak, she sounds identical to the pathological liar I'm referring to. Loads of extra details and most of them are straight up lies.

T put the carpet roll away.

Huh? Why?

My head hurts.

One of those blackouts where all these things are going through your mind. This is hilarious.

The whole point of a blackout is that you don’t remember what happened when you blacked out. Remarkable.
She only blacked out “ a little bit “

And LS was concerned about someone tripping on the carpet so rolled it up and put it in the storage room. How very considerate of her. <i.e., isn't she so wonderful? - she is an educator after all> grrrrr

"In my mind, I thought I could fix this."

"I was making an irrational decision in an emotional position."

"It was not that easy in the moment because my mind was in so many directions and I thought I could fix it."

"In my brain I thought I got to act soon and by 6, 6:30 I got to make decision because the girls are going to ask where Gannon was because we were going to get sushi."

BOOM.

Obligatory Statement analysis warning… the chronological gaps indicate areas where actual actions cannot be enumerated, due to the likelihood that unspeakable things occurred within them.
Also, she prefaced the whole insane story with “I made a mistake, this is it.”

It’s a big tell as far as statement analysis goes. A truthful person will get to the point.

"I made an irrational decision"... in a panic situation.

Case closed.

Your head spinning too? Surely she never had a friend. Who could put up with even one conversation?

It was getting late so I had to make a decision ( to call the Police) because the girls were coming home and would have questions. Because we were supposed to go eat sushi.
