We could also ask why brother DL didn't call LE when he didn't have a good feeling about the suitcase defendant was trying to lift. moo

Do you still love your mother?

Big silence.

Go girl!

"Was your mum capable of picking up Gannon's body in a suitcase and throwing it over a guardrail in Pensacola?" "YES."

BOOM.

Harley did not see any blood in Gannon's room, in the storage room, or anyplace in the basement. It smelled clean because it always smelled clean. Her mom was a clean freak, and cleaned often.

Harley confirms yes, she now knows that Gannon's body was in that van as they drove across the country. Gannon was small. Was your mom strong enough and capable of lifting a suitcase and tossing a suitcase with his body over a bridge in Pensacola, Florida. Harley confirms YES.

Jury questions...

Going after HH is the wrong route. The jury will not like this. She was young then, she is young now. She was manipulated and backhanded by her own mother. I am shaking my head at this defense atty.
I agree but he has to. It’s his job.

If he doesn’t, appeal appeal appeal.

They have to go after her.

Cut her off after she gave her statement. Nice. Nice aunt. Nice family. Who needs enemies when you have an aunt like that.
Family like that*

I imagine her mom and aunt can’t be the only 2 people on that side of the family who are like that. I have to wonder if the aunt thought T was innocent or if it’s just the perceived betrayal of HH giving a statement.

It doesn’t matter either way, I still can’t imagine leaving a young adult on their own like that. I hope HH is not tied to them still.

During cross examination, Harley said she didn’t believe her mom would do anything to hurt Gannon.

Harley: “I woke up one day, and I lost everybody.” Prosecution: “Would’ve never dreamed that your mom would’ve done something to Gannon?” Harley: “I’m still in shock. I just feel manipulated and lied to.”

“The thought never came across my mind, I just never thought my mom would do that. I didn’t see her as the type of person to do that. I never questioned it, it never came up," said Harley.

The prosecution asked Harley if her mother is capable of picking Gannon’s body up, putting it in a suitcase, and throwing it over a bridge in Florida. Harley said “yes.”

Prosecution: “Do you still love your mother?” Harley didn’t answer, and put her head down as she became emotional.

Dear girl, poor Harley. I'm crying my eyes out now. Hopes she has a fantastic rest of her life.

True...but I can still shake my head. Lol!
This could be all different. I recall when Buster got on the stand and said everything wonderful about his dad, then turned around and said oh no that's not my dad's voice on that video. He looked so foolish. He would have been better off, like HH and just telling the truth and telling it as it was and telling it as it is.

Jury questions.

GOOD QUESTION.

Asked if she recalls seeing any part of Gannon in bed. She saw his head.

ANOTHER GOOD QUESTION.

Asked if the van was in a different place in the parking lot in Florida. She didn't recall.

Asked if Gannon was treated different, stricter or harsher. She says no.

Asked by prosecution if she recalled seeing the suitcase at any time during the window of the crime she says no.

No cross.

HH is finished!

Jury is leaving.

And, we're done for the day!

I’m surprised she said it didn’t seem that Gannon was treated differently by her mom.

I have no doubt he was. But HH may not have been able to recognize it, or LS may have turned evil when nobody else was around

Thank You Harley for being so strong and telling your truth and the truth.

Turns out she was only worried for herself.

Does the judge have sentencing latitude?

I'm trying to calculate how many years will follow the LWOP.
I'm hoping she'll go to a prison that doesn't provide Kosher meals.

She’s a big witness for the prosecution, so they obviously want to discredit her as much as they can. They’d be remiss of their duties if they did not.
And, I have to wonder if LS wanted them to do that. After LS found out HH would be testifying for the prosecution, she probably felt like her hateful, vindictive self. Now, she wants to see her daughter squirm and her attorney is happy to help.
