You know, there was a lot of speculation back then that she got kitty litter at Petco....
And some kind of special dog harness. Remember that speculation? (and bags) Will someone from Petco be testifying? What did she really buy there? The dog coats like she said?

Why go there when Gannon was sick and burned? That was such a mystery to me at the time.

According to her pretext calls with AS, she left her/Gannon’s phone there and had to go back. (Her story with AS changed as to whose phone it was.) So she was either using possibilities she’d seen online, because that was mentioned as a possibility, or she Really did stash a phone there. I can’t wait until they break down all the phone data.

Sounds like a giant SWAT, police and FBI operation to get LS.

They knew HH was getting dropped off. Waited until HH was dropped off at the recruitment office because she was a minor and they didn't want her getting hurt. They were both under surveillance leading up to the arrest. Watched specifically by this team for at least four days.

Wanted the least amount of people at the home as possible when they took LS into custody.

LS was driving away from the recruitment station, unmarked cars with police lights pulled her over, arrest took less than a minute. LS was driving a dark minivan. Minivan was taken to Myrtle Beach police annexe for FBI team to process. Police were clearly wearing clothing with LE logos. LS complied with the arrest.

Took photos from the outside, first. Obtained a search warrant for a suitcase that was visible in the van. Publishing exhibits. Photos of outside of van, inside of van. Envelope in car addressed to LS. Suitcase with pink and white polka dots. Cell phone. Delivered suitcase to Agent Gordon for processing.

Opening an exhibit now, without telling us first what it is. Young: "Let's see what's inside." It's the suitcase. Witness is holding it up to show the jury. Tags on the suitcase with LS's name and a phone number. It's the same suitcase from the storage room photos.

Inside the suitcase was a blue blanket. Visible apparent blood on the blanket and the suitcase.

Photos of blanket laid out and with close up.

Contents underneath photographed, being laid out and processed.

Black bag from driver's seat. And photo of the phone from inside. Showing the actual phone from the picture in an evidence bag. Everything sent back to El Paso.

At the same time, defendant was being processed.

Cross.

Clarifies that a name on the phone was 'Tela' not 'Tecia'.

No jury questions.

Det. Pete Woods briefed SWAT and police unit officers in Myrtle Beach about a wanted person he identified as Letecia Stauch

They were made aware Letecia would be dropping her daughter Harley off at the local Air force recruiting station.

Myrtle Beach police watched her from Thurs - Sun before arresting her on a Monday

Once they saw Harley with the recruiter at the station and Letecia driving away they went in to arrest her.

Arrest took less than a minute.

Det. said arrest took less than a minute, she complied

In the van they arrested Letecia in, there was a pink suitcase. We're seeing pictures of it. They got a warrant to search the suitcase

The next witness to testify is Detective Pete Woods with the Myrtle Beach Police Department. He was involved with Letecia Stauch’s arrest in Myrtle Beach on March 2, 2020. He said they had done surveillance on her Thursday through Sunday, before arresting her on Monday.

Woods said Letecia Stauch immediately got out of the vehicle, and didn’t try to run when she was being arrested. Myrtle Beach law enforcement also obtained a warrant to search the vehicle. They found a pink suitcase, with a blue blanket inside that had several blood stains on it.
