As HH tells it and I do believe her…LS was an obsessive, deceitful, non trusting cynical mom in all areas. I wonder if she was the same with her students. What a control freak. Or just a freak.
The texts about asking if she could open the door for the pizza really hammered that home.
She said her mom would see on the camera if she did and she would get in trouble.
Most people would think that would mean not to answer the door for press or possibly inquisitive/concerned neighbors but I don't think HH had the ability to think of anything but strict compliance.

LS went off on her own for a period of the afternoon of the 28th.

Kept reinforcing 'don't open the door to anyone'.

LS told her 'they're trying to frame me' meaning people in the find Gannon groups. Trails off when asked whether she questioned her mother about this.

Did you have problems with confronting your mum, were you just going along with what she was telling you? YES. YES. YES. Firm responses.

Had always been able to find her mother on life 360 but it was shut down.

LS insists 'they're hiding something' because police wanted toothbrush etc. for DNA. Didn't respond when HH asked her to clarify.

Told HH both she and AS were at the police station. Found out when AS contacted her directly that LS was not.

I get the impression T never saw HH as her own person with hopes, dreams, emotions and expectations of her own. Nope, just another character in T's cast of characters to use, manipulate, snow.

Here's another thing DID isn't: playing head games with other people's heads.

While I believe the prosecution has this case sewn up, this questioning of HH has been hard to follow. I feel like he's jumping around all over the place and not asking the questions he really needs to be asking.

Like what was your mom doing when you returned with the cleaning supplies? Did she show you the burnt carpet? Did you see her cleaning it? Weren't you curious about what happened? I don't feel like I've learned a whole lot after an entire morning of questioning.

In fact, the only information I've found noteworthy from today's testimony --
- LS lied to HH about how her father died (which isn't even really related to this case)
- LS told HH to search G's bookbag and she found the Swisher Sweets package (which clearly suggests it was planted by LS)
- LS told HH that G was screaming "I hate my life!" in the street
- LS said "Let's all go tell Gannon goodnight..."

The last three bullet points are important because I believe she was laying the foundation for what was to come. I think she planted the Swisher Sweets and made up the BS about G screaming "I hate my life!" to make it seem more plausible when Gannon "ran away" the next day.

When the Prosecutor asked HH if her mother told her to tell the police about the cigar it reminded me of when Spencer asked LS if there was a hike on Sunday and LS said “ can my chi-uld answer that?” and went and hauled HH out of the car.
Poor kid.
It's like she sets her up in situations so that when questioned, she has an ally and can say "see, even Harley knows, tell them Harley!" She's likely done it her entire life. Most likely also, over the most petty things that she just wanted to have her way about. According to HH's testimony she even pulled her into arguments with AS. (which he could easily refute so, no reason to believe that wasn't exactly true). Having someone around her that validates what she says, because she (HH) can't possibly do anything else but agree with her.

Ugh. My detestation of this woman has grown by leaps and bounds today. I honestly didn't think it possible.

Apologies for the awful quality, but I’ve been told she’s been doing this numerous times throughout today. One person I spoke to said she saw her do this “at least 6 times.”
The hell still .the judge needs to put that bolt in the table. She's such a witch jmoo

Yeah ,but I get the feeling Harley only saw herself as T's daughter ,and T dreams and ambitions were both of theirs ,by default.

For losing her father at a young age and having been raised by that inhumane other parent figure, HH seems resilient. I have hope for her to overcome her unfortunate beginnings.

He has only begun and he has proven LS to be a liar, compulsive, controlling, hateful and deceitful. And that’s through her own daughter!

Those questions that you believe they should be asking are all, it seems to me, to be questions which would only be relevant to trying to get some sort of admission that HH 'knew' what had happened. This isn't HH's trial though. The other questions don't seem unimportant or irrelevant to me. The answers show clear deception by LT, and show that she is in the habit of deceiving people. Even her own daughter.

LS went out once to look for him at the beginning.
HH has to be reliving this and now that she knows the truth, I’m proud of her for not breaking down. Yes, she’s been a bit hesitant on a couple of questions but she’s holding on. She’s still young. My granddaughter is 22 and I’m trying to imagine her up there and doing as well.
She's doing good so far. I wonder if she can keep from being emotional when it comes to transporting Gannon in the suitcase and throwing him over the bridge, though.

Just quickly checking in to say I think HH is very brave.
I'm sorry - I can't recall who posted that HH doesn't speak like LT at all; but it's true, and remarkable. HH speaks really well, and we haven't heard a single 'whatever' or a 'yada, yada, yada'. I'd never think she was her daughter at all if we didn't know otherwise.

Eta: In England in a situation as sensitive as this - young daughter giving evidence against a parent they have been very close to and/or dominated by - they'd often accept the option of having a screen so that the Defendant can't actually see them or try to intimidate them. I don't know if they do that in Colorado, but she is indeed brave, and holding up well in these circumstances.

BBM - It's been like that through the whole trial, and their attempts at humor and/or joviality have been offensive to me. Not impressed with any of the lawyers on either side except for the female prosecutor.

They aren't done questioning her yet, correct?

I was looking over the video. I just noticed HH is wearing BLUE.

I do feel like they could be a little more specific with HH since she was interacting more closely with LS and GS around the time of the crime than any other non-child (until AS got home). So she could testify to a lot of detail.
