The hell still .the judge needs to put that bolt in the table. She's such a witch jmoo
He is going to see this.
She wants out of that room. And in a holding cell. She never wanted to be in that room in the first place.

I do feel like they could be a little more specific with HH since she was interacting more closely with LS and GS around the time of the crime than any other non-child (until AS got home). So she could testify to a lot of detail.
They are timing things precisely.

They aren't done questioning her yet, correct?
Not yet. They're barely in to Gannon's disappearance. It wouldn't surprise me if she's on the stand for days, at this rate.

I agree. But I hope he bolts her hands to the table instead of putting her in the holding area. Because that is where she wants to be instead of in the courtroom.

I do not believe they will do that to her.
What I think they will do ,is hard end her testimony. It will be over when Harley is on the stand crying. And all of us will be too. Hope you guys are ready ,think it will be today.

The texts about asking if she could open the door for the pizza really hammered that home.
She said her mom would see on the camera if she did and she would get in trouble.
Most people would think that would mean not to answer the door for press or possibly inquisitive/concerned neighbors but I don't think HH had the ability to think of anything but strict compliance.
JMO
Makes one wonder what LS did that resulted in such a total non-wavering compliance to her orders. If I were a juror I would ask the question "what would your mother do if you disobeyed her?"

IMO, the states limited questions to HH...specifically what she saw or what she did...were to aid in the potentially hard hitting cross exam that will be coming ( probably tomorrow? ). The defense has been suggesting all along that Harley was overlooked by LE.
So, as long as the door is not opened ( By what she saw or did, )
the defense will be more limited in their cross. MOO

While I believe the prosecution has this case sewn up, this questioning of HH has been hard to follow. I feel like he's jumping around all over the place and not asking the questions he really needs to be asking.

Like what was your mom doing when you returned with the cleaning supplies? Did she show you the burnt carpet? Did you see her cleaning it? Weren't you curious about what happened? I don't feel like I've learned a whole lot after an entire morning of questioning.

In fact, the only information I've found noteworthy from today's testimony --
- LS lied to HH about how her father died (which isn't even really related to this case)
- LS told HH to search G's bookbag and she found the Swisher Sweets package (which clearly suggests it was planted by LS)
- LS told HH that G was screaming "I hate my life!" in the street
- LS said "Let's all go tell Gannon goodnight..."

The last three bullet points are important because I believe she was laying the foundation for what was to come. I think she planted the Swisher Sweets and made up the BS about G screaming "I hate my life!" to make it seem more plausible when Gannon "ran away" the next day.
I'm so relieve someone else feels the questioning has been hard to follow with all the jumping around. Just feel like it's been hard to grasp the important points. It's probably because they're going over the texts and trying to get the timeline connected to what was really going on, but it gets confusing for the listener.

I also agree with you that the bullet points are some of the important things Harley could answer for us. I felt really confused though with hearing that Letecia was throwing in that "Gannon screamed he hated his life". (I thought I imagined hearing that.) Thanks, it makes sense the way you say it'd make running away more plausible.

Oh, I felt appalled to hear, and maybe Jurors were also, that Gannon was left alone down there in the basement. How they all went to say good night to him-- an injured, traumatized, been acting weird lately, worried about his burns Gannon in the cold, cold basement after he'd been burned, and everybody leaves to go upstairs, and he was left alone down there with no one looking out for him after he had stomach issues and had been burned. Sounds like negligent parenting to say the least.

The problem with emotional and psychological abuse, especially when it is happening to a child who doesn't know different, is that your normal is not anyone else's normal but you often don't know that. And when you try to describe it to an outsider, it often doesn't sound like anything terrifying or abusive. It doesn't leave marks you can show. You can be terrified of someone who never raises a finger or their voice to you.

Those questions that you believe they should be asking are all, it seems to me, to be questions which would only be relevant to trying to get some sort of admission that HH 'knew' what had happened. This isn't HH's trial though. The other questions don't seem unimportant or irrelevant to me. The answers show clear deception by LT, and show that she is in the habit of deceiving people. Even her own daughter.
Not necessarily... but I guess you could be right depending on what HH's answers to those questions would be. I might be assuming too much. I wasn't trying to be critical of HH, though. I think she's doing the best she can with what she's being given in a very difficult situation. She's certainly handling herself better than I would have at her age. I'd be a hot mess.

In CO, in January, the windows were open.

BBM - It's been like that through the whole trial, and their attempts at humor and/or joviality have been offensive to me. Not impressed with any of the lawyers on either side except for the female prosecutor.

I find Mr Allen very personable, he puts witnesses at ease amd I really like his style of questioning. I find Mr Young hard work, I feel like he treats his own witnesses like he would a defence witness, and sometimes he seems quite irritated.

As for the defence, Mr Cook just sound ls like he really can't be arsed, which in fairness I can understand but it's not professional imo.
