The pathway of violence - we as human beings exhibit behaviours before committing violence. Begins with a grievance people with healthy supports and relationships will work out safe ways to manage it. Moves to planning, taking steps of preparation. Breach - point of no turning back. And then attack.

Called in to help. Listened to one of the phone calls.

His opinion he told them was, "I do believe if we don't accuse her of killing Gannon she will continue to talk to us."

On why: "She had already shown a propensity to change her story to fit the facts of the case-"

Second witness today is former FBI special agent Jonathan Grusing, who is testifying that he was brought in to listen to one of the phone conversations between Al and Letecia Stauch, and give advice on how best to interact with Letecia moving forward.

Grusing stated he believed by not accusing Letecia of killing Gannon that she would continue to speak with Al and law enforcement, and give additional information.

"Our best source to figure out what happened to Gannon was to keep speaking with Letecia," Grusing stated.

Was part of the strategy that if they could just keep talking, there would be information she would give away.

It was consistent that she showed more concern for herself than Gannon.

"Was the defendant the centre of her own universe in that regard?" "Yes, she was."

He spoke with her after her arrest in SC.

Was it also consistent that she would mislead this investigation? YES.

Talking about her claiming to be in CS when she was in SC, talking about Gannon being reported as a runaway when she was not.

"Someone like her can't avoid giving out facts when she's making up these stories." He said she did this to avoid punishment.

Talking about her trying to shift blame to AS, LH, LH's husband, other real people in the phone conversations.

Oh, man, more phone calls coming. My patience is wafer thin by this point.

Apparently there is a lot of violence described in them... and I don't know if he means the phone calls collectively, or the new calls. Please be safe, folks.
