Yep, a pregnant lady, not really pregnant, a fake pregnant lady, with a bunch of money in the thing that makes her look pregnant, gets in her car. Letecia asks what that'd would mean. Albert says maybe she robbed a bank? Maybe. Pregnant lady with cash in her belly. Makes her walk into Petco, forces her.
The Petco thing is a "uh ho" to her. Because she is making up lies about it.
That tells me Petco was a big deal situation!

Ummmm.... I'm really thinking the pregnant but not pregnant lady with the belly full of cash is probably Edgardo's wife!

Edjgwina.....

Good God!!!
A pregnant woman with a belly full of cash sounds like the cows kicking beer cans in the Dylan Redwine case.

I just can't
I totally forgot about that! Hahaha!
LS really thinks this is going to work with Al.

Honest question, because I'm not always good at maths--

is T currently 36 months pregnant?

LS talking about AS being a 'good dad' to Gannon. About how the military came first, but he wasn't deployed overseas. Mentions her stepfather.

Pause.

Witness asked if she mentions abuse from stepfather. No. No mental health issues, no blackout periods.

Play.

This bit keeps dropping out. She's asked if she thought AS was cheating. No. Something about not wanting the kids to ever come back here? I assume she means to visit LH. Talking about the toll of trying to get custody, about the insecurity of their homelife for a while. Talking about Colorado being better because they were with them, going to school. "We are together."

Pause.

Witness says she recounted the last five years without difficulty, with ease.

Play.

"I've given my life to take care of these children and it's so hard that I don't get to express that emotion."

Saying that she didn't do it for a 'split-second', and how hard it is that she's being judged for it.

Pause.

Witness points out that she makes it all about her again when he's trying to talk about Gannon.

Break until 10:45.

I've always thought there was something way more significant about the 2 trips to Petco.
My guess is, she bought some sort of "pet stain" remover to clean up blood.
Sending HH with LS to the dollar store for supplies was just her way of getting them out of the house so she could wipe things down and hide Gannon.

I am so so glad they are stop starting and skipping through this interview rather than the way they did the CS one, just playing the whole three hours solid. It is so much easier from my perspective, and I think the jurors will find it easier to follow and understand it, too.

I notice she doesn't get the cosy 'comfort and cry' interview room this time. I think that's the smallest 'box' I've ever seen.

MOO

DAY 12 Letecia Stauch trial Prosecutors are expected to play a 5 hour video of Letecia Stauch being interviewed by investigators (possibly FBI agents) according to what DA Michael Allen said on Wednesday.

An FBI Agent is on the stand, talking about how they had to change strategies when Al, Gannon’s father, was talking with Letecia on the phone.
Agent Grusing says Letecia would not give more information when Al asked if she accidentally hurt Gannon.

Grusing says Letecia Stauch would remove Gannon from the conversation at times, and would “de-personify” Gannon, which was a concern.

Right now another phone call is being played in court between Al and Letecia. Al keeps confronting Letecia with questions about Gannon. Letecia’s responses often have to do with herself and her relationship with Al.

“She wanted finding Gannon to be contingent on Al coming back into the marriage with her” Grusing says on the stand, talking about how Letecia responded to Al’s questions about where Gannon was.

Morning break until 10:45 am MT

I’m really really missing all the reporters who covered the case for years who no longer work in Colorado Springs.

T is so transparent. Fishing to see what Al knows so she can (badly) craft a story around those details.

Did she really cite this, as an attempt to exonerate herself ( which it would not exonerate, only further implicate as showing foreknowledge) -- that law enforcement was looking where T hadn't gone?

Is the defense trying to axe Grusing's testimony on account of... Your Honor, he's just, um, too good?
