This is what a wholesale lack of empathy looks like.

She tells herself it didn't happen. Doesn't go deeper. Doesn't care about the pain others are in. No regret, no remorse. Didn't happen.

Callous as hell.

The judge is taking deep breaths and one of her attorneys is resting his forehead in his hand.

1682115917106.png Acting shocked that Agent Grusing would ask if she did something like hurt Gannon and put him in a dumpster. A dumpster! Denials, she would never.

Agent Grusing coming back with one of her stories he's calmly calling her on-- That's not a true story, it's worst than Quincy Brown. What about the woman with the money in her stomach?

Next clip is about the boards with the blood on them.

Agent Grusing has the patience of a saint I'd lose my sh** by now . He is just the best. Jmoo

I’m watching on Recovery Addict’s feed. They’ve made a reference twice that the camera showed the jury. Did anyone catch that?
I did not see this but I recall the court was aware of this flaw from the beginning and I think it amazing we made it 11 trial days before the technical issue happened at the wrong time! And most likely why Judge Werner stood up from his bench. MOO

Mark Redwine, Harold Henthorn, Krystal Kenney, and Scott Kimball would like a word. This man knows exactly what he’s doing. Just because someone doesn’t play ball, doesn’t mean the strategy is wrong. I saw lots of pivots and angles today.

Edit: I forgot about Barry Morphew, which just has to be his best work.
I didn't say he wasn't good at his job. But all of those people you mention aren't Leticia. We're talking about this trial and it's my opinion that a different strategy might have been more fruitful.

Does anyone know how long she actually was a teacher, not a substitute job, but how many years she actually taught at a school?

I don’t know what strategy is appropriate when your suspect is just going to lie the whole time, and dance around whatever you say.

This man has talked to child killers, wife killers, and serial killers.

He’s nailed them all, even if the prosecution has dropped the ball on occasion.

Dunno, but this woman should have been an elementary school student, and not a teacher.

Next bit.

LS is talking about how she is being so respectful and everything to him.

Now she's saying she's 'sorry for him' because all of the bad things he's seen making him see bad things everywhere. Faking empathy, badly.

"Why would I hurt Gannon? Helpful, loving. Helped me out more than everyone in the home. Even AS."

Talking about how Gannon was good because he would wait on her hand and foot, without her even having to ask. (She thinks it makes her sound like they had a good relationship. To me, if that's true, it sounds to me like the Fawn response of an abused child, trying to protect themselves.)

Witness: "If you had any key to where Gannon was, you would tell it to us if you were a good person, wouldn't you?"

Pause.

Talking about all the stories and variations of stories they've heard since the beginning. He's never counted how many individual variations there have been.

Talking about how he kept saying bad things happen, and are done by good people. Was using that approach to get her to talk to him.
Bbm

I totally agree with you. Things don’t sound the way she thinks they do.

I'm trying really hard to get through this but I'm losing it over here. I just can't believe a person can be this horrible. She's a worm. 5 and 1/2hrs of babbling idiocy. They got NOTHING out of this interview. NOTHING. They should have just taken her away hours ago, threw her in a cell and isolated her from everyone else for a few weeks. While I understand what Grusing was doing, I have to wonder if a more confrontational approach would have achieved some results? This coddling isn't working. Might as well try. They were pretty certain he was dead already.

It's pretty obvious that by this point and all the hours and hours of talking, she wasn't going to give up anything. She reacts to confrontation. Get her worked up and real angry. Hopefully she gets so enraged she slips up and they get something. Negotiating for a body is non-negotiable in my opinion. This is going nowhere. Take the gloves off and get busy playing hardball.

*I'm way behind

What in the crackhead hell is this pregnant cash belly Mexican money laundering story.

I've followed many cases throughout the years. This story she is telling takes the cake of most bat**** unbelievable nonsense I've ever heard. Pretty sure she is not working with a full deck of cards.

The only insane thing she is, is insanely stupid.

Or, as you mention, possibly a crackhead?

Speculation, of course. Too bad they didn't catch her in time to get a toxicology report. Or to interview Eguardo.

IMO.

At first I wondered if she is the type of person who lies to herself and others and believes the lie. But from watching all of this, no, I think she’s just deny deny deny because she thinks she can weasel her way out somehow.

She's a pathological liar. Hard to pick a strategy when you know it's just going to be another lie. I think personally they felt every story had a *little* truth. So the more stories the better in order to find out maybe a little of the truth or anything that would lead them to Gannon at the time.

Disagree. Imo he's doing a decent job. But a different strategy may have been more fruitful. This whole thing is a waste of time. He's coaxing her to talk just like Al did. Not much different in my opinion.
I was thinking exactly the same. What new information has he got from her? None. It was finding the body that sealed the deal, not this interview.

Exactly!! Wanted to see a bad cop approach much much much earlier. This "I'm your friend, will get you resources, we'll talk off camera"...same Al approach that let in a host of fake people and stupid stories.

Grusing- The way you can help yourself out of this.
Letecia- Why do you keep asking for my help?
Grusing- We want to find Gannon. The blood, the board, it had Gannon's blood on it, and your DNA.
Letecia- I was Gannon's main caretaker, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Now it's hurtful that Grusing would call parenting a problem.
I missed this part. Could you give details? Thanks.
