I was wondering if they will bring one of their Doctors back out to rebut Dr Lewis' testimony

They have several on their list - I hope one is an expert (a more current expert) on DID.

More current than Dr. Lewis.

And we’re back. Next witness is Sherrie Homes, a forensic serologist + DNA analyst with the CSPD Metro Crime Lab. Holes is here as an expert witness in body fluids, specifically related in the investigation of Gannon’s disappearance.

I was just reading an old article that said the Court refused to admit some evidence and that's one reason the Prosecutor decided to drop the case. Did the Judge give a reason for excluding that evidence?
The defendant, meanwhile, has been showing her hands. And was admonished by the Court for doing so.

T isn't insane. She's just rude.

And she isn't just rude, she's vulgar.

A lot of qualifications, a lot of experience, a lot of prior testimony in other cases given. Works out of CS now, but a lot of prior work in California, too.

The court qualifies her as an expert witness.

Talking through procedure and how she works with investigators. Now talking about specifics of how this investigation went.

Released seven different reports in this investigation. The reasons being more items being tested, more questions needing to be answered as the investigation progressed.

Talking about procedure, taking samples from both from areas with visible staining and from areas without staining (for possible trace). These swabs and samples are not admitted at court because they're best kept frozen to retain integrity of sample.

Talking about Gannon's toothbrush, how she took swaps and trimmings from it to be added to a 'DNA packet' for Gannon. Also buccal swabs for AH and LH as reference standards as his biological parents.

Talking through decontaminating workspaces between samples, wearing protective gear, to avoid cross contamination, having a set order in how they examine items of low->high potential evidence to reference samples last. Telling people what a sterile swab is.

Carpet Exhibits 1 and 2 both were presumptive for blood. Both pieces of carpet were brought into the courtroom and confirmed to be such by the witness.

First item being discussed is the square of carpet found in the roll of carpet. Talking about the procedure of taking samples from the visible staining.

Swabs now, from the stairs and floor of garage. Labelled A, B, and C to correlate with evidence markers from the crime scene photographs. All presumptive positive for blood.

Showing her the big piece of carpet. Exhibit 451. Presumptive positive for blood. Samples forward on for DNA analysis.

Next one carpet 2. Visible staining, presumptive positive for blood. Swabs, cuttings, and stained fibres taken and forwarded for DNA analysis.

Foam padding, visible staining, presumptive positive for blood. Took a cutting for DNA analysis.

Electrical outlet cover. Presumptive positive blood. Swabbed stained area and sent for DNA analysis.

"If it can be collected, we encourage the people at the scene to do so." Rather than them just swabbing things at the scene and leaving them be.

This is the 5-page list of about 150 potential witnesses that have already been called or may be called by prosecutors to testify in the Letecia Stauch murder trial. District Attorney Michael Allen said 7 more witnesses will be testifying before they're finished their case.

Court is back in session from lunch. A Forensic DNA analyst is testifying, saying presumptive blood was found on a piece of carpet inside the storage room of the Stauch home.

Where did Carpet Exhibits 1 & 2 come from within the house? Witness understood the carpet pieces came from the southeast room, the child's room, Gannon's room answers Witness Sherri Holes, Serologist.

Shoes found on the washing machine looked like they had blood on the soles, or some kind of stain. Tested, the right shoe did show a positive result on the outsole for blood. Even though the shoes had a strong clean odor, and yet still had a faint stains.
