Gannon's father is a member of the National Guard, and the Guard is assisting with search efforts.

Due to his age and expected weather, the Major Crimes Unit is assisting in the search because they have more tools at their disposal.

Mohr testified that Stauch never exhibited “overt” symptoms of dissociative disorder or bipolar disorder, such as glancing around the room, talking to herself or having lapses in memory, and that she never referred to herself by a different name or spoke in a different accent.

When asked about any history of mental illness, Stauch only reported general anxiety disorder and did not mention any trauma from molestation during her childhood or previous commitments to hospitals, Mohr said. She said Stauch did claim emotional abuse in her marriage to her then-husband Al Stauch, who would tell her “she was never a good stepmom.”

Mohr said Stauch would often “blurt out” information about her case voluntarily, and on March 9 told Mohr that she had “control of her brain” and wanted to “be an advocate” for herself.

“Mentally, I’m fine,” Stauch said, according to the testimony. “I’m not guilty, the truth will come out.”

Mohr also said she believed she was the first to tell Stauch that Gannon’s body had been found, but did not include where. She said Stauch “was a bit tearful” and had a "normal, but limited" reaction, and that Stauch responded that she had “never been to Florida.”

Letecia Stauch trial: Psychologist testifies that Stauch was 'tearful,' said she'd 'never been to Florida' after learning Gannon's body had been found

Wait. What? Hold the phone. She brought a gun to Garden of the Gods????? She was not suicidal? We know what she was going to do. OMG.

JMO
Confirming LS did NOT take a gun to Garden of the Gods:

5:29:00 mark - Letecia said she always took a handgun with her when they went hiking but not that day

On February 4, the cargo van Letecia rented was powered up at 4:15 a.m., less than two miles away from where Gannon’s body was found in Pensacola, Florida.
She says she wasn't in Florida, but we heard and saw data charts all about her entire trip. This was a chilling fact revealed today.
Thank you! It's just about over. Then what? I'll be in severe withdrawal by then!...
When this trial is over, you need to go buy a tomato plant and commit to it...
1682488621521.png What a great suggestion. I had a balcony container garden last summer. The tomato plant I loved best was my Sweet Million tomato plant which produced lots of grapelike clusters of small, cherry red sweet fruits that went great in salads and could be used in all kinds of recipes. 1682488665613.png

Why is defense hitting this hard, about the Florida aha moment? They're conceding she's responsible. Her defense isn't NG. It's NGRI....

So why the burst of energy over this one thing?
Exactly what I'm trying to make sense of too. I gathered that the Defence saw it as a way to infer that LS had suffered a 'blank'. i.e. everyone knows she went to Florida but LS can't remember it. But the jury can make its own mind up as to whether it's just another lie, or whether it believes she had a blank. The facts about who told her Gannon was found in Florida seem irrelevant.

My guess would be that LS started whispering the 'my attorneys told me' part, and that it may not be true. On the other hand I would have had more questions for the expert about all of this: how did the expert learn about Florida? Who told her - or had it appeared on the news? Why would the expert take it upon herself to tell LS, and what exactly did she say to her? A vague "I don't *think* I'd have said Florida" isn't good enough. In the UK the police would have been the ones to tell her. They'd have booked an interview and she'd have had her lawyer there; because the finding of a body would heighten the case against her, and she'd be given the chance to make a confession or whatever. So I'm finding all of this most unsatisfactory.

Yeh, I had researched that much, especially in the late 60s/early 70s. It started to be used for schizophrenia later. When I was a teenager, I would ask about the medications that both of my parents took (my mum's hypertension drugs and my dad 'for his nerves'). I never questioned the 'for his nerves' until I had the internet to be honest.
This was in England.
I will never really know for sure, but it makes sense to me; his personality and moods. He was a great dad, and I miss him lots.
ETA: Clarification and additional info :)
I'm in the UK too, and my dad also had a good few prescription drugs forever, 'for his nerves', and I was always told that it was the war that had affected him. There were different strengths of valium, amitriptyline, and a small shiny red pill whose name began with a 'T' I think, but can't remember what - and that one was pretty strong. The great thing was that these were always available in the cupboard for my 'times of crisis' - 16 year old hormones, the odd exam or driving test - it was marvellous.

Here's the thing about the Florida angle. Clearly, defence want to argue that it's evidence of DID. Letecia has admitted guilt - so why doesn't she remember going to Florida when we all know she was there? The problem with that is that Letecia hadn't decided on her insanity plea at that point, and so it is argued by prosecution that she was trying to cover her ass, not realising that she shouldn't know he was found in Florida yet. (That's the truth.)

So it becomes essential for defence to prove that she had been told by an attorney that Gannon was found in Florida prior to her offering that information up.

The problem is that there is no evidence of attorney contact at that time. And there's just no proof of any DID episodes. Their desperate attempt to chase this one, potential, speck of a DID episode will likely open up more avenues to prove her sanity. I believe they should have just let it go, but they have so little, they couldn't.

Catch 22.

ETA - The other problem is that defence are not making it clear to the jury that this is their angle. They're allowing themselves to get caught up in this cat and mouse with prosecution instead. Their repeated attempts at trying to put shade on HH only compounds that and further muddies the water between NG and NGRI.

Vallow is interesting, I'm following it loosely but a lot of characters and hard to line them up coherently.. I'm kinda sorry I didn't pay more attention... straange cat..
Grab the headlines, it's not hard to follow on Tube..
I wasn't following that one. I think I need one that has lights camera action. I'm spoiled after Murdaugh and Tecia

So I checked the weather but I didn't learn much. A delayed start like schools maybe? I can handle that. It's cold in here. No heat and no coffee. Think I'll sit in the car with the heat full blast. I'm talking to myself now. Great. Have a wonderful day guys!

I am surprised that, with the discovery of Gannon in Florida, they didn’t call agent Grusing back in to try to speak with Leticia with that new information on camera. Instead they had the psychologist tell her in the jail. Perhaps they attempted, and the attorneys shot it down. I suppose that’s the only angle they had at that point of someone that could speak to her without it being directly related to the crime-the angle of “losing a loved one”.

I may have missed this, perhaps someone can confirm-did they go over the sheet and comforter or other item that was found in Harley’s room, and if the blood was a match for Gannon? I don’t recall hearing anything about sheets being found with Gannon, and I am perplexed why LS would leave those behind unless she just missed them and then stuffed them in Harley’s laundry basket in a panic. If the items belonged to Harley and were menstrual in nature, perhaps they didn’t cover it because they were never granted access to Harley’s DNA because she was a minor, so they couldn’t confirm?

She had to have been in a panic because there was a lot of blood left behind in obvious places. Too much blood everywhere with too little time for her to clean any of it thoroughly.

I recall a only a snippet of info about HH and if it was menstrual in nature, what was found.

Dr. G did two interesting videos about Letecia regarding Gannon's case and they are so interesting and he discussed a lot of what most of us here have already said, but he mentioned Münchausen syndrome by Proxy, something I thought of but never mentioned here.

He also said psychopaths don't feel a lot of anxiety. That's telling!

All speculation imo.
