So, this is a doctor who diagnosed Letecia with GAD? How is that helpful to defence?

This woman is talking a mile a minute. I can hardly keep up with what she's saying.
She appears extremely nervous as well.

This is basically a bonus prosecution witness

  • #125
Very nice of the defense to provide a witness for the prosecution.

  • #126
Oh that's just perfect. Sit down and shut up Mr Cook, your own witness, brilliant :p

What is wrong with Mr. Cook. This witness is their own witness and he just objected that she's not qualified to answer?

Yep, whatever LS has, is contagious and Cook has been sitting too close.

OMG with the witness giggles though! I just can't.

Epic Fail on your first witness, defense.
I am not sure how the defense can recover from this one. Redirect will be futile

Cross.

Talking through the symptoms LS reported now. No reported suicidal or homicidal ideation reported at either appointment.

The reported stress was linked directly to her work environment, according to self report by LS.

No disorientation reported - knew who she was, where she was, no hallucination, no memory impairment, no judgement impairment, speech normal, no language abnormalities. Thoughts not impaired, lineal, logical, goal directed. Connected appropriately to others. Insight was intact. No delusions.

Based on her years of experience, if she had any concerned she was a danger to herself, to others, or gravely dysfunctioning, she would have put her on a M1/72 hour hold.

Only condition she observed was GAD.

Observation was the same on the second appointment, only GAD.

Her experience prior to the clinic was evaluating people at Memorial Hospital with mental health and drug issues in the emergency room. Assessing folks for if they were a danger to themselves and others was literally her job for years.

Summary: T used the doctor.

That's OK, Dr's getting her own back and she doesn't even know it!.

Did the defence think the prosecution wouldn't ask any questions? I thought Mr Cook used to be a prosecutor???
