does anyone have any thoughts on why the prosecution didn’t offer a rebuttal? I’m a little surprised by that given how thorough they’ve been.

Dr. L did not come off as a credible witness, but I’m still surprised no rebuttal

Are there 3 or 4 charges they have to decide on? There's murder in the first degree, tampering with evidence, and concealing a human body (I can't remember the exact wording for this one). Is there a fourth one?

Child abuse resulting in death.
I just realized my question was answered a couple of comments before mine. Thank you!

From my experience of serving on a jury the first thing to happen will be a lot of OMG's and can you believe this ****** comments. Then after everyone has had a chance to let out all the pent up emotion they will do a quick vote of guilty.

Then they will feel its too soon so they'll discuss all the crazy details again and when they feel enough time has gone by they'll submit the verdict. I think within two hours.

'Psychopathic substance' - think that was meant to be 'psychotropic substance'. Hope that won't be a problem.

Present this am. Hoping the states closing is powerful, and speaks kindly of Gannon and his family, while slaughtering the creature seated at the defense table with the horrid truth that she alone committed.

The defense's closing will be the same sad sob story we heard in opening. I hope he pulls the walk out routine again. He will barely bring up the failure that was Dr Lewis. There is no defense.

Hang in there everyone!
And, see you all in the stairwell while the jury deliberates.

Hi just got here. The judge is going over jury instructions?
Have they already had closing statements and I missed them?! Can’t believe I missed so much!
Thank you.

@Cindizzi isn't posting. Do we dare hope she's present in the courtroom?

Feeling like I kind of lost my temper wednesday, just a little bit. I said I wasn’t going to watch Dr Lewis’ testimony as I knew I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from commenting, I really dislike her and have done for some time. There are people in life who exist only to exploit others for personal gain. LS is one of these, and so is Dr Lewis IMO. She has made a career off of exploiting, misleading and outright lying. Her behaviour on the stand the last few days is not new, and certainly not due to her age.

I knew her testimony was going to make me mad and I didn’t want to end up commenting and making a fool of myself in the heat of the moment, however I didn’t know it was going to make me as angry as it did. Along with making a mockery of Gannon’s murder, psychology, mental illness she also managed to make a mockery of the court aswell. I have never, in years of following trials (my first was Casey Anthony - the less said about that the better), I have never seen anything like the testimony of Lewis.

What expert witness would have their own son sit in on an evaluation with an inmate and then when confronted with the evidence of him being there claim not to recognise their own son? Personally, I think that was the moment when it would have become clear to everyone in the court room that Lewis was a fraud. To then go on to refuse to admit that she withdrew the request for the EEG, when again confronted with the evidence that she did so. Instead of just coming clean and admitting an ‘error in judgement’ she chose to lie when confronted with the evidence and completely undermine her entire testimony. Who’s going to believe a word that comes out of her mouth when she can’t admit to making mistakes. It just ruined any credibility she had left at that point (if any) and drew parallels to LS personality wise with her refusal to admit wrongdoing when the evidence was presented to her.

All in all her testimony not only fell flat it probably hurt the defense, and her behaviour on the stand risked a mistrial being declared. If I were LS defense attorney I would not be paying Lewis after that sorry display and if I were any defense attorney I would not contact her to evaluate my client if she was the last psychiatrist on earth.

Now that’s off my chest let’s see what today holds. Justice for Gannon!
Just about all of us have vented.
Just about all of us have had a laugh.
Our minds work to keep us whole when faced with the horror of Gannon’s death and the deception of the doc IMO

I think, from listening to Recovery Addict, the cameras are dark because Tolini bumped one earlier when they were at the bench. And no one has fixed it yet.
That is true. When Judge had bench conference early this morning, Tolini bumped camera upwards, thus camera auto focus is capturing too much ceiling which brightness alters camera exposure. moo

Stauch is pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. Judge Werner is going over the instructions of how jurors will also be answering the question of Stauch being sane or not insane as the crimes were committed.

He's already said verdict is their job, sentencing is his, if I recall correctly. They are not to consider possible sentencing when making their verdict.
