A picture of Gannon should be displayed in the jury room front and center at all times, as a reminder of who this all about. MOO

I thought her google searches alone would seal the deal into the verdict coming in as guilty on all counts.

please let this jury get this right! I know it's hard to imagine them not when we all see so clearly who LS really is. But I will forever have FICA flashbacks.

I'm nervous but choosing to stay positive and have faith that justice will be done.

Ok so they're asking for a list of exhibits, do you think that means that they haven't even began to look at the exhibits yet? There's like 700 isn't there?

This could take a long time :/

I feel sick here

RA just responded to a caller who said LS would play games in a mental health facility and play sane.

His response: “the doctors in the mental health facilities are NOT Dr Lewis” :)

I finally caught the cold my kids had over the weekend...headache and chills, ugh. 100% here for Gannon today.
Please let today be the day justice is finally served!

Turned my modem off and on again, and I'm back in business.

I like that the jury asked for the exhibit list. That means they're wanting to find and refer to certain exhibits as they deliberate. They're thinking and questioning. They're not just ticking boxes.

Do y'all think that Dr.Lewis’son was the smoker (in the stairway) and the phone/camera person? It was so odd that the Judge mentioned weed.

At least that way they won't have to waste time sifting thru exhibits....index will put them right on the exhibit they seek

I try to remember this is just one jury - and in a system (CO) that has some strange twists and turns.

And I also try to remember the hundreds and hundreds of times that we, here on WS, have said things like 'Letecia is nuts; Letecia is crazy' Letecia is insane). Most of the time, the person saying that (I have said it) also includes, "but NOTr in the legal sense."

However, in this case, all that matters is the Jury's view on what insanity is (however they come to it).

So, more nail-biting or pacing around for us. I'm going to do a little pacing. Wish I could stay home from work. Sigh.

IMO.
This has been lingering in my mind for a long while. We have all sat here and said that's she's absolutely crazy (not in the legal sense) and then you had nutty Lewis sat up there said oh I think the same as you, all these stories are wacky BUT that means insanity... I am worried that like one juror's view of insanity is uneducated y'know?

I think we are gonna be here a while

Maybe the exhibit index will refresh their memory about all the Google searches, the calls to Al, the texts to Harley for clean up supplies and much much more. I know they won’t be able to see them but maybe just seeing ‘Google searches from T’s phone’ will remind them of what she was searching for, ‘recorded call from T to Al’ may remind them of the lies about edguardo etc.. I hope. I still hope but hope is slowly fading after hearing those questions.

If they find her NGRI, they will truly kick themselves when they are released and do a bit of research on Lewis. They will realise they have been duped IMO.

Because her testimony was rambling and incoherent and they were hoping to make sense of it with what she (or someone close to her) put on paper? Not permitted, though.

When the jury gets to use google to rewatch the Dr. from the fed we see it from..They will probably join here.

The jurors in the murder trial for Letecia Stauch have asked for a list of exhibits admitted as evidence in the trial, to which the council said they will be able to get.

The jurors also asked for a preliminary report and final report from Dr. Dorothy Lewis, to which the council said jurors will not be able to get. The council said they will not be able to give that report because expert reports are not introduced as evidence.

Well, if the judge said 'you can't have it bc it's not evidence'... maybe that will be a timely and necessary reminder to them that this is just one woman’s opinion.

I really hope that they aren't buying into Dr Lewis' "reputation" of having a TV show, interviewing serial murderers blah blah, as if she is credible

I keep reminding myself that they watched the same scatty testimony that we did. They saw the same bad acting videos that we did.

I pray they're just taking their jobs seriously and are being thorough.
Imo, I believe that the jurors, are taking their job seriously and being thorough as you said. They are exactly like all of us here. They represent us and are taking their task responsibly, it's their civic duty. ;)

Let Letecia sweat it out.

From my memories of the rebuke, I think the judge was just covering all the smokeable bases. I don't think what he said implied tobacco over cannabis or vice versa. Just that nothing is permitted to be smoked within the confines of the building.

I don't think there was any basis for speculation on one person over any other being the smoker. Nobody was named and shamed. Correlation does not equal causation, and just because Dr Lewis's son was in the gallery the day of the offense does not mean it's him over any other person turning up to watch the trial. We were all a bit salty over the tardiness of the witness, and I think in jokes we linked both Lewis's son and Cook to the smoking incident to vent about it.

Right there with you! I wasn't feeling too bad when we left off Friday, but now I'm starting to wonder. I can almost see some juror(s) that gets hung up on thinking that someone has to be insane to commit such a heinous act, and have a hard time being swayed otherwise. Hopefully that is not the case and they are just being ultra-thorough!
I'm hoping for a swift GUILTY verdict but if there are some hold out's thinking she truly was insane (I can't even imagine how anyone could buy that!) I hope the worst we get is a hung jury. At least that way we could have her tried again. ???

How many days' actual testimony were there, does anyone know?

Conventional trial wisdom says a jury will deliberate for one hour for every day of testimony, for whatever that is worth.

IIRC, it was stated during trial to be of an opinion. moo:)

They are welcome to do both! Just AFTER they have delivered a verdict and been released from their duties.
