THERE IS ONE OR MORE HOLD-OUTS ON THIS JURY AND IT INFURIATES ME.
We can't possibly know this yet.

I think sometimes we forget that the folks on the jury don't have a fraction of the time we've had to become familiar with the case and all the facts. Most here have been following it for 3 years, where the jury has only had the case for a few weeks, and there's a TON of information to go over.

My hope is, they're being thorough, having a lot of discussions (same way we have) and methodically going over evidence piece by piece and coming to agreements on each piece. Of course I hoped we'd get the verdict in under an hour but it's been a little over 7 hours now, which is really a short window.

I was thinking this earlier, especially with the questions they asked this morning. I was so angry I had to have a hot bath and an hour out to calm down, now I’ve read some comments from others I’m thinking that 7 hours total deliberation time isn’t too long really.

If we reach the 10-12 hour mark with no verdict I will start to worry, until then I will try and stay positive and tell myself they are just being thorough.

I didn't follow this case at all, so decided to play juror. I was convinced of her sanity after Al's testimony and I'm a stickler for giving the benefit of the doubt until I've heard everything.

Been really busy today, thought I'd come back to a verdict.

Perplexed by this long of deliberations, not going to lie. Anyone else?

Turdaugh was a case I thought could take days for deliberations and that only went a few hours.

Not a lot to deliberate here, was she Insane at the time or not....and Dr. Lewis was the worst "expert" I've ever seen take the stand.

Almost makes me want to go back and listen to Voir Dire, see who slipped through the cracks.

Geez Louise.

But....it really hasn't been that long. Friday I think doesn't really count, other than maybe an hour. They have so much to go through, being thorough.

Judge Werner instructed the alternates on Friday they were being dismissed but not released by the court, and how each alternate remains under the jury admonitions previously given by the court.
So obviously I am not a lawyer. Can anyone explain how it works if alternates are NOT released but remain under jury admonitions? Are the alternates sent home to be called back if needed or are they able to observe deliberations but not participate?

One instance that stands out to me is when she was being interviewed by Lewis and was "talking to Vampires" LS turned to Lewis and told her she was talking to vampires... if she truly were psychotic and rambling on to some unknown Vampires, she wouldn't explain... she would be in her own psychotic world. But Lewis jumped on this which further discredits Lewis in my opinion... but there were so many other instances too.

still feeling nervous but I’m trying to remind myself that the jury knew nothing about this case before trial, while all of us already had our hunches from having followed the case, and the trial just confirmed them. Most of us care very little about what Dr. Lewis said because of the overwhelming evidence in the prosecution’s favor, and because she was impossibly difficult to follow. But the jury has to attempt to understand Dr. L’s testimony in a meaningful way with the least amount of bias possible. They don’t have any of the context that we know about regarding Dr. Lewis, and I doubt that any of them knew much about DID before trial. We’ve all been able to research both DID and Dr. Lewis, but the jury only has her testimony to draw from.

This case is really complex and it’s probably a lot for them to take in and process over such a short period of time. I thought the jury had really thoughtful questions throughout the trial and I’m feeling like they’re hopefully being very thorough.

So ,yeah this one thing hit me weird that the officers in her "escape plan" testified about, which hit me as shady and like they should have known better. So IMO i think they put the monster can where she could access it on purpose. I think it was immature and stupid and it looks like they were baiting bad behavior. So those woman appear to have thought it be funny to lay a monster can at the feet of a monster. It is not a good look .
BBM
I have watched that video 25 times or more and I see nothing shady with the law enforcement.

Where and why should law enforcement in that van have known better?

And IMOO it looks like it was her monster can she was allowed to have. They made it clear she was going to the bathroom, eating, joking, playing games, having snacks like a normal person. Why shouldn't she be allowed to have a monster can drink if she wants one?

In the video and in their testimony where does it show they were immature, stupid and baiting her?

IMOO the video, phone calls, texts, other videos as well as the whole trial does show LS as narcissistic, uncaring, gaslighter, apathetic, opportunistic, immature, self-absorbed, conceited, self-centered, braggart, self-obsessed, money grubbing, ego maniac and most of all killer.

Did the judge not tell them to take any vote when they first went back? If this is true I think that the jurors are discussing evidence and testimony and exhibits. I am not at all worried that they are hung up. I think they are being thorough.

I didn't either, just watched trial. She was sane and acted rationally to cover up her tracks and dispose of Gannon's body. She acted sanely before the murder and immediately after it. Not insane, guilty of first degree murder. MOO

I think because we all thought there’d be a verdict in around 3 hours, the fact we are now at 7 seems like much longer than it actually is. But it’s been 4 hours on Friday, they’ve all gone home for the weekend and then this morning had to get ‘back up to speed’ on where they were before leaving on Friday.

For all we know they’re filling in the verdict forms right now…Then we’re going to have the longest half hour wait of our lives before the verdict is announced.

IF they haven’t come up with a verdict by the end of today, I’ll suspect they are deadlocked. JMO.

If you are correct, then yes they are doing it the way you hope.

i remain frustrated and do not believe they are all in agreement.

And why is there a need to review evidence? She admitted her guilt.

She stabbed him 18 times.
She shot a gun at him three times and one bullet hit him in the neck.
She tried to poison him with an opioid.
She beat him with a blunt object.
She burnt his body.
And she dumped his little body in Florida.

Regardless of how long the jury takes, the evidence all says guilty and you don’t need hours to figure that out.
