Stauch asked the judge to strip Letecia of his last name before pushing for a sentence of life in prison. He also asked the judge to make her to spend one day in solitary confinement for each mile she drove his body from Colorado to Florida - which was more than a thousand miles.

He must have spent hours and hours writing this. He knew what was coming; we all did.

This is Judge Werner's style.

I recall he was very prepared at the last status hearing before trial where reading from his own notes, he reminded both the prosecution and defense, of the Court's documented history of LS's allegations of mental illness leading to the NGRI defense.

He used this same documented history to question the defense on why Dorthy Lewis still had not submitted her expert witness report to the Court!

What a judge! The most powerful sentencing remarks from a judge I have ever heard (and I’m not just saying that). Sucks that she had tissue shoved in her ears the whole time and didn’t hear any of it. She didn’t even open her eyes. The definition of pure evil. Once she’s got done serving her lwop she’s still got 13.5 years to serve!

Every judge should be like judge Werner. They all need to take note. Impeccable, so much respect for him.
