Ok, it was for good reason, but we missed our opportunity to mike drop for Al and the <modsnip> remark about Tecia. Loved his description of her. Guess that last little gem was his ace in the hole to drag her to her face. She’ll never forget that sentence.

I’m wondering if it is possible for me to
marry both Judge Werner and Judge Newman? Even if they’re already married?

Seriously, these are two judges who’ve IMO done the best “judging” I can remember.

Two clear-eyed juries in both cases, as well.

I tip my hat, I send a chef’s kiss, I raise my cup of coffee to all these fine people.

For Gannon’s broken family, as Landon said tonight she will be able to finally sleep, and I wish them all whatever peace is still available for their lifetimes.

Thanks all for being here. It was a privilege sharing Gannon's investigation and trial with you. I can't turn off the tears, so I'm telling myself it's OK to be weepy for awhile. We may need a little more self-care tonight. Be good to yourselves.
Sending love and HUGS !

Loved that she was called out on her story about the cape, about her kosher meals, and about her never saying, "Wait, why am I carrying this body around in a suitcase?"

Much love to Landon, Al, Laina, and their extended families. And mad respect for this judge.

I also loved that Al spelled out father: "Capital F, a-t-h-e-r" - good for him.

I'm grateful that this part is over and we can forget all about that <modsnip> what's-her-name. May she rot.

Because AS wanted her stripped of his last name, she will keep it. Because AS want to know his son's last words, she will never tell him.

She is so heinous, controlling and deceitful. I thought AS's hope that she continually relive killing Gannon and hearing his last words as Greek Mythology---Prometheus and Sisyphus. Fitting, very fitting because she will never have remorse and, if she did, she would never give this family the satisfaction of knowing.

Now for a relaxing bath in Epsom salts…..I won’t ever use the words bath salts again.

All I am left with at the moment are the words from Letecia herself, the convicted child murderer. That when Gannon “comes home”, he’ll tell everyone what really happened.

And he did. He did exactly that. He told everyone what you did to him. He told everyone just how hard he fought to hold on to his life. He told everyone what you did to his body, his memory, his being. He told everyone where you took him, where you stored him, how you treated him even after death. He told us. And he got you convicted.

Gannon, everyone here has only known you in death, but I know how much we’d have all loved the beautifully special, kind and gentle person you were in life too. I know you knew how loved you were by your parents and sister, that is something I hope they can hold onto in the dark, terrible days to come.

Letecia will rot away and be forgotten.

Gannon never will. You are our hero, G-man. Always and forever.

thank yo to everyone, i'm sorry, that was so hard,... i'm a mess now

Thank YOU for all you did to transcribe for us.

Re-listen to Judge Werner, it'll make you feel better. (For me, it will be a while before I let myself get involved in a missing child case - and to those of you who are able to do it all year round, here at WS, I am sending you energy, but these child cases just really get to me).

Iamshadow: take care of yourself. This murder affected hundreds of thousands of people (we were not at the epicenter, but we were all affected - and if today had not gone the way it did, I would have been devastated).

I am just now relaxing after listening on my commute and crying (took a long, rural way home, not freeway-listening material).

Bless you and all the others who helped us understand this trial and who prayed for Justice for Gannon.

It was everything i feared to hope to hard for.

It was everything ganon and those who loved him deserved to hear.

i'm just so sad it doesnt fix anything
It may not fix certain things, but rest assured that this Child Murderer will never be able to hurt anyone again, that's huge.

Gannon got some legal justice and that counts friend.

Buh bye defendant may we never hear your voice and name again jmoo
May we only hear your name again through the news if you have the same fate as Dahmer did in prison.

This vile child killing narcissistic woman will not do well in prison.

Al really got some good ones in.
“ waking up to a warm Kosher meal “

I don’t know how he contained his anger, but I think the snark helped him.

I’m so glad he got to express it.

Who will show the press conference?

People v Stauch: The jury has reached a verdict. It will be read in 30 minutes.

VERDICT REACHED in Letecia Stauch trial. We’re expecting to hear the verdict in the next 30 minutes, along with any statements from family members (if they intended to do so) A press conference at the District Attorney’s office is expected this afternoon.

The jury deliberated for about 8 hours. They started deliberations at 1 p.m. on Friday. They resumed this morning at 9 a.m., and reached a verdict just before 1 p.m. today.

Dozens of community members and people tied to the case, likely at least 30-40 people, are lined up outside the courtroom to hear the verdict.

The courtroom is filling in and court staff are preparing an overflow room for additional seating where the verdict will be live-streamed.

Sheriff Joe Roybal is in the courtroom now.

District Attorney Michael Allen just briefly asked people in the courtroom to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner when the verdict is read, and that any overwhelming emotions be taken outside of the room to preserve the judicial process.

The jury is entering the courtroom now.

GUILTY: The jury finds Letecia Stauch guilty of first degree murder in the death of her stepson, 11 year old Gannon Stauch. A press conference with District Attorney Michael Allen is expected this afternoon.
@KKTV11News will livestream that.

Tampering with a deceased human body charge, and tampering with physical evidence charge, the jury also found Stauch guilty on both.

Judge says “I want to thank all of you for your service … you were willing to be open minded and impartial … you payed attention all day, every day,” to the jurors.

Stauch - Guilty all 4 counts! Questions: [email protected]

Everyone in the courtroom seems to have listened to the judge and the DA’s words about controlling emotions and reactions in the courtroom. Gannon’s mom and dad are both in tears.

Both the prosecution and the defense say they’re ready to go ahead to sentencing right away. The judge is taking 30 minutes to speak one last time with the jury before court resumes for sentencing.

Letecia Stauch did not appear to have a physical reaction when the verdict was read from where I was seated, behind her. Her posture remained the same as we’ve seen throughout trial. Still, and her head slightly angled down.

For further clarification, the guilty verdict means the jury does not think Letecia Stauch met the legal definition of insanity when Gannon was murdered. Stauch pled not guilty by reason of insanity, and her attorneys said she had a “mental break” when killing Gannon.

Nicole Mobley is giving a statement to the court. She testified for the prosecution as having been involved in the search efforts for Gannon. She thanked the judge for this trial process.

“Gannon wasn’t just a neighbor, he was all of our little boys.” One neighbor of the Stauch’s says to the judge.

Gannon’s great aunt just asked the judge if she can give a bible to the court, to be given to Letecia Stauch, for her to have during her time in prison.

Gannon’s mom, Landen Bullard, is speaking to the court. “I miss you Gannon, and I love you to the moon.”

Al Stauch, Gannon’s father is giving his statement to the court. “This is a lifelong journey of pain.”

Al Stauch asked the judge that Letecia Stauch be stripped of his last name, saying it has been “infuriating” to hear her referred to as “Ms. Stauch.”

When Judge Werner asked Letecia Stauch if she wanted to say anything to contribute to his decision on her sentencing, Stauch said, “no sir.” Judge is going to take 10 minutes to put his sentencing together. Court will be back at 3:25.

“A parent’s worst nightmare is getting a phone call letting them know that something has happened to their child,” Judge Werner says to begin sentencing Stauch.

“Ms. Stauch, you betrayed the person you loved enough to marry,” Werner says.

“You forever altered the future … They will never know the kind of impact their son may have had on the world,” Werner adds, referring to Gannon’s parents being impacted by this.

Judge Werner is commending Harley Hunt, Letecia Stauch’s daughter, talking about the strength it took for her to testify against her mother.

Judge Werner condemns Stauch’s use of the not guilty by reason of insanity plea.

“You have shown no remorse throughout this process,” Werner says to Letecia Stauch.

“The facts in this case are the most horrific that I have ever seen,” Judge Werner says, before sentencing Letecia Stauch to two life in prison sentences without the possibility of parole, along with additional sentencing for additional charges.

As Letecia Stauch was taken out of the courtroom in handcuffs moments ago, one person in the courtroom shouted an obscenity at her while clapping.

Dismissed with style, I might add.
DA- 'I'd just as soon chuck her in jail, she's wasted quite enough time.' (paraphrased)

He shot her.

She felt it too, she always feared him, I think because she sensed his contempt for her and she knew she couldn't play him.

In the first day in Court , she actually arched her back when he spoke and then she widened her shoulders and expanded her chest and psychically as well as physically squared up to him.

It was eerie and I was sure she would fly. (I wanted it so she could be seen in full glory)

I noticed she couldn't hold it but i could almost feel it.
he showed her fast he was a helluva lot stronger, she never did it again.

He was prepared at every level, the entire Court was.
They all knew what was in their midst.
Everybody knew and everybody was protected.

Snake energy is her entire essence.
And some of them need to be shot, metaphorically.

They were bigger and they are stronger.

Now for a relaxing bath in Epsom salts…..I won’t ever use the words bath salts again.
We just call them Epsom salts or magnesium.

I think today I'm going to use the Shoot For The Stars bath bomb I've been saving since Christmas. It's blue. But later, when my partner is awake so she can have the water after me.

I think I'm going to play Paper Mario in a bit. I'm not great at Zelda, and though my brother is a lifelong Sonic fan, I've never been good at them. But I finished Paper Mario the other year, and Gannon loved Mario, too.

I hope that I was able to help people access this trial, that's all I ever wanted when I started transcribing and summarising bits. I wanted to share, to give back. I know I'm relatively new here, but as I told my partner, if I'd known about WS twenty years ago, I would have been here, then. But I was here now, for this, and that's been one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. So, thank you.

MOO

The thing I’m most excited about when it comes to all of this is the family can start the healing process, whatever it looks like. We won’t forget Gannon.

Well done Judge, Jury and Prosecution!

Relistened and confirming the defense did request LS sentenced to San Carlos, Pueblo.

Insult upon insult that LS is somehow exempt from the rules and they don't apply to LS.

I hope she remains in DWCF for the duration of her LWOP sentence -- she'll just be an inmate number here and forever known as a child killer. MOO
