As Letecia is handcuffed and led away, a spectator yells out “I HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL.” The judge has already left the courtroom. People in the gallery give each other approving nods.

Werner just sentenced Stauch to two life sentences without parole, 12 years in prison for tampering with a deceased human body and 18 months for tampering with physical evidence. The attempted jail escape case has been dismissed.

The last things I want to say tonight is how grateful I am to the jurors for seeing through her lies and delivering justice for Gannon in no time at all. They were diligent, thorough, brave and compassionate. To the judge for being the absolute MVP of courts worldwide. An incredibly patience, calm and no nonsense defender of the law whose emotion and humanity grounded me when I was so deep in tears for a child and a family I never met. And to you guys here at websleuths. I joined this forum because of Gannon’s case and I will stay here long after it. Forever with “here for Gannon” in my bio, because I will always be here for Gannon.

The family impact statements blew me away with their depth of grief and emotion, but also their dignity and strength. No wonder Gannon was such a strong, beautiful soul.

As Letecia Stauch was taken out of the courtroom in handcuffs moments ago, one person in the courtroom shouted an obscenity at her while clapping.

I'm crying. Thank you so much jury. Thank you to all who contributed to this thread, we laughed and cried together, and I hope Gannon knows how much he is loved.

Does anyone know if the judge can initiate getting the Stauch name strickened from her? Or will Al likely need to get specific counsel to start that process based on the circumstances? I cannot
imagine this would be a difficult process, and I'm sure this could go through without needing her consent. She's a stain and a waste of breath at this point.

I’ve been following cases for a looong time and have listened to many judges issue sentencing. Judge Werner has to be the best!! Landon and Al were eloquent and their heartbreak so real. I’m not a crier but I cried today.

Gannon, rest in peace sweetie!

Honestly I'd be very surprised if her legal name could be changed against her will. I understand AS's feelings but Stauch has been her legal name since they married in 2015. And she doesn't lose her rights to it because she's been convicted of murder. It's possible she could be persuaded to give it up but nobody has anything to offer her.

I have nothing to say that you all haven’t.
Time for Gannon’s memory to shine and live on.
Gentle hugs.

We just call them Epsom salts or magnesium.

I think today I'm going to use the Shoot For The Stars bath bomb I've been saving since Christmas. It's blue. But later, when my partner is awake so she can have the water after me.

I think I'm going to play Paper Mario in a bit. I'm not great at Zelda, and though my brother is a lifelong Sonic fan, I've never been good at them. But I finished Paper Mario the other year, and Gannon loved Mario, too.

I hope that I was able to help people access this trial, that's all I ever wanted when I started transcribing and summarising bits. I wanted to share, to give back. I know I'm relatively new here, but as I told my partner, if I'd known about WS twenty years ago, I would have been here, then. But I was here now, for this, and that's been one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced. So, thank you.

The thing I’m most excited about when it comes to all of this is the family can start the healing process, whatever it looks like. We won’t forget Gannon.

I can't think of any grounds for this given LS and AS were legally married where she (legally) took his name.

During a divorce, a wife has to request her maiden name restored as a result of the divorce. To my knowledge, LS did not make this request. JMO

Letecia is not going to make a statement, on the advice of counsel, according to Tolini.
