I hope one or two jurors talk. I'd be so interested in their input, how they perceived the testimony over the 6 weeks, including what they thought of Dr Lewis.
No doubt they are spent, so perhaps later.

I keep thinking about the bridge inspector, when apparently no inspection was due at the time. I'm sure he is affected.
And the rainbow.

Makes one wonder about such moments of serendipity.

Gannon is at peace now.

ON THIS DAY: On May 8, 2013, Jodi Arias was convicted of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

I disagree.

Specific to women convicted in Colorado including LS, there are only two DOC choices for female inmates and San Carlos is not one of them. For example, James Holmes is housed at SCCF.

IMO, she's most likely going to remain at DWCF after reception/evaluation. Please take note LS will not be deprived of mental health services at DWCF:

Currently, Colorado operates two correctional facilities for women, the Denver Women's Correctional Facility and the La Vista Correctional Facility.

Built in 1998, Denver Women’s Correctional Facility (DWCF) is one of two correctional facilities for women in CDOC. DWCF is the largest and houses female inmates at all custody levels. DWCF has several unique responsibilities and programs for women inmates to include: housing all pregnant inmates, inmates with high medical and mental health needs, an intake unit, incentive unit, management control unit, a therapeutic community, and a Residential Treatment Program (RTP) for inmates with severe mental health treatment needs. DWCF has a capacity of 984 beds. DWCF also houses 17 female parolees who are participating in the Alternative Stabilization Assistance Program (ASAP).

Warden Ryan Long

La Vista Correctional Facility (LVCF) was opened in July 2006, providing the Colorado Department of Corrections with a new multi-custody Level III facility for female inmates. In July 2020, legislation was passed reducing the bed capacity from 707 to 560 leaving 3 living units with a capacity of 78 beds, 2 living units with a capacity of 80 beds, and Unit 1 and Unit 4 Therapeutic Community consisting of 76 beds each. LVCF also has 14 general population beds in the Intake Diagnostic Orientation (IDO) unit and a 15 bed classification review unit. The facility has a mixed classification of female inmates ranging from minimum to close custody. Services provided by housing assignment include a Therapeutic Community, Re-entry services and an Incentive unit.

Warden Tom Werlich

I'd like to see the words "dangerous" in there and Level 5 would make me more comfortable. She has severe psychiatric needs and a history of poor impulse control and truly awful behavior. She doesn't need re-entry services and will disrupt the levels of programs that are in place at Level 3 facilities, IMO. That second one gives me the willies, because she would be in contact with people who are minimally supervised. She's too manipulative to be just one or two levels away from contact with women who are about to be released.

The first one sounds better (if she's in the RTP for a year or two). It's better that she be a small cog in a much larger system - that second place is too small to absorb her impact. IMO.

But you're right, San Carlos is men only at the moment. Looks like her lawyers didn't do their homework (and we can't expect her to).

Maybe she will start identifying as a man, next.

IMO.

I believe he was at the press conference. He was holding a white thermos. Allen did say that there’s another major case the DA’s office is working on. MOO
Pretty sure he was talking about the mass shooting @ club q.

AS's new family is a blended one. He has other kids now than Gannon, Little Sis, and the new baby.

MOO
Ok I thought they said he had 6 biological sons and was confused. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

<modsnip - quoted post was not victim friendly>
The children will keep him busy. Does their daughter live with Al and his wife? I hope that Landen can see her often. Living states away must be extremely difficult.

Yes Liana lives with him.

I think for AS, from the impression I've come to of his character over the course of the trial, they're all his kids, including HH. Probably even encompassing Landen's little one. Biology doesn't matter. Always another place at the table.

The complete opposite of the gorgon who killed his son.

I feel bad for everyone at the prison that will have to deal with the egotistical maniac every day. She will be a lifelong nuisance and I hope some fellow inmates kick her butt.
Someone will put LS in her place. They’ll put the hurt to her. Child killers have a target on their backs.

Just want to say Thank You to All of You for being here for Gannon with such love, for all your input and updates while we followed this case and watched this trial together. I really appreciated all your posts. So relieved we got the right verdict.

I've watched enough trials to say the Judge is to be commended on how well run he kept the courtroom. The Judge cared, and he's a top-notch human being with a big heart, a great voice, and a lovely manner. Both sides seemed to cooperate too. (Okay, the flirtation and giggling going on with the defendant and her attorney was one thing I didn't appreciate.)

Last but not least, Thank You so much Jurors.

one of the world's nicest humans and a truly great journalist.
he's been with us from the outset, i really missed him.
Yes, and perfect timing for him to be there at that moment for that horrendous interview by a now convicted child killer.

She can use one of her DID personas - maybe Eguardo - to fake her way into San Carlos, her preferred prison.

Women's prison population strains system

ETA: Dated article with very relevant stats:

Since 1989, the number of women forced to surrender their civilian garb for DayGlo prison jumpsuits has grown from 392 to 1,186, an increase of more than 200 percent, corrections department data show. It's a rate of growth that exceeds the national average. A new, $97 million state prison for women under construction in Denver will relieve the situation only temporarily. By the time the 900-bed, multiple-custody institution is completed in 2001, there will be a bed shortage, corrections officials predict.

Buildings on the 34-acre Denver prison campus are filling as rapidly as they materialize with transfers from the Can~on City prison and elsewhere.

"We know we will be short when this is finished,'' says Noble Wallace, warden of the Denver Women's Correctional Facility.

All I am left with at the moment are the words from Letecia herself, the convicted child murderer. That when Gannon “comes home”, he’ll tell everyone what really happened.

And he did. He did exactly that. He told everyone what you did to him. He told everyone just how hard he fought to hold on to his life. He told everyone what you did to his body, his memory, his being. He told everyone where you took him, where you stored him, how you treated him even after death. He told us. And he got you convicted.

Gannon, everyone here has only known you in death, but I know how much we’d have all loved the beautifully special, kind and gentle person you were in life too. I know you knew how loved you were by your parents and sister, that is something I hope they can hold onto in the dark, terrible days to come.

Letecia will rot away and be forgotten.

Gannon never will. You are our hero, G-man. Always and forever.
Thank you for this.

Everyone knew she was faking, except the inept psychiatrist Lewis. Will there be consequences for her lying scam…

I believe AS was speaking about his own father when sharing his own feelings of how he felt being a father was a gift.

I recall LS telling investigators that she bonded with AS over abusive fathers, and further alleged AS's father was a child molester. MOO
Thank you for answering my question. Al and Landen have had many heartbreaks. They continue to keep Gannon’s beautiful spirit alive while helping others.

My daughter lost her first child 16 years ago to a devastating syndrome. As a NICU nurse practitioner, she’s managed to channel her experience to helping NICU babies and their parents. She shares her experience and what services are available.

Facility Security Levels

An offender’s custody classification determines his or her facility placement. The DOC places inmates according to their assessed custody level in an appropriate facility based on its security level.

Prior to May 24, 2000, an inmate was placed in a facility according to his or her assessed classification level, which matched the facility’s custody classification level. After May 24, 2000, each facility was designated a security level that was defined in statute.

The following paragraphs describe the main external and internal measures differentiating the five security levels of prison facilities in Colorado, from the highest to lowest levels.
