More charges filed against man accused of indecent exposure at Fort Collins coffee shops

Police say they found videos at the man's home showing he tampered with food at the Fort Collins grocery store where he worked.

In addition to the initial 14 indecent exposure charges, Stephen Masalta has now also been charged with:

• 16 counts of attempted sexual assault on a child, a Class 5 felony
• 14 counts of indecent exposure, a Class 1 misdemeanor
• Four counts of attempted unlawful sexual contact, a Class 2 misdemeanor
• Two counts of attempted indecent exposure, a Class 2 misdemeanor

Stephen Masalta pleaded guilty in September to attempted sexual assault on a child and two counts of indecent exposure, the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday. Masalta will be credited for about a year behind bars, meaning he’ll be back out on the streets in two years. Once he’s released, he will be required to register as a sex offender, have no contact under the age of 18 and is not allowed to have unsupervised internet access.
